Abstract

The Government continues to focus on handling Indonesia's pandemic and social protection programs. Limiting activities has succeeded in suppressing people's mobility, so daily Covid-19 cases are starting to decline. Various policy adjustments through the APBN instrument have also been carried out quickly to protect the public, handle the spread of Covid-19 and protect the community from a social and economic perspective. A research method is a qualitative approach using existing secondary data that the researcher considers relevant and essential to be studied and analyzed in depth. Secondary data has been processed first and only obtained by researchers from other sources as additional information. Some secondary data sources are books, journals, government publications, websites, or other supporting sources. The data analysis technique is analyzed using logic triangulation and investigator triangulation methods. The study results show that in Indonesia's social protection policies during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a gap between the central Government and local governments. In addition, stakeholders focus on long-term programs prepared to overcome the social inequality in the people of Tanjungpinang city. In addition, researchers also found that the social protection policy programs carried out by stakeholders in the city of Tanjungpinang have met the community's needs during the covid 19 pandemic. Several innovations evidence this, and social protection policies are carried out by the central Government to local governments so that each stakeholder can implement these programs in the future.

Abstract

Abstract

Bandung City faces escalating municipal solid waste challenges driven by rapid urban growth, consumption patterns, and limited treatment capacity. In response, waste banks (bank sampah) have emerged as community-based initiatives that promote recycling and waste segregation; however, their performance varies widely across districts due to institutional, financial, and technological constraints. This study aims to evaluate the strategic role of waste banks within Bandung’s municipal solid waste management system through a structured SWOT analysis. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied, utilizing secondary data from journal articles, government reports, and credible news sources published between 2015 and 2025. Findings reveal strong community participation, environmental awareness, and institutional support as core strengths, while weaknesses include inadequate infrastructure, inconsistent funding, and the absence of digital monitoring systems. Opportunities are found in circular economy policies, CSR-based partnerships, and technological innovations for data management. External threats include fluctuating recyclable prices, landfill capacity limitations, and policy instability. Based on these insights, strategic recommendations were formulated, including the integration of waste banks into formal municipal planning, digital platform adoption, standardized operating procedures, and cross-sector collaboration. The study concludes that waste banks hold significant potential to support Bandung’s transition toward a circular and sustainable urban waste-management model, provided that institutional strengthening and technological innovation are prioritized. This research serves as a practical reference for policymakers, academics, and community stakeholders in addressing urban waste challenges.

Abstract

Digital transformation is reshaping industries worldwide, including the maritime sector, by integrating advanced technologies to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability. In the context of Indonesia, a country with a vast archipelago and significant maritime activities, digital transformation offers substantial opportunities but also presents distinct challenges. This paper explores the multifaceted impacts of digital transformation on Indonesia's maritime industry, examining both the opportunities and challenges that arise from this technological shift. Opportunities in the maritime sector include enhanced operational efficiency, improved safety, and better environmental management. Technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), big data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and blockchain are pivotal in optimizing logistics, predictive maintenance, and real-time monitoring of vessels and cargo. These advancements can lead to reduced operational costs, minimized human errors, and lower environmental footprints. For Indonesia, leveraging these technologies could significantly boost its competitiveness in global shipping, enhance port operations, and support the sustainable management of its extensive marine resources. However, the journey towards digital transformation in Indonesia’s maritime industry is fraught with challenges. Key issues include inadequate digital infrastructure, limited technological expertise, and regulatory hurdles. The uneven distribution of digital infrastructure across Indonesia's archipelago hampers the consistent application of advanced technologies. Additionally, the maritime workforce requires upskilling to handle new digital tools effectively, necessitating substantial investment in education and training. Regulatory frameworks also need to evolve to address data security, privacy concerns, and the integration of international standards, ensuring a seamless transition to digital operations.
