Abstract

Waqf is a social worship contact between humans and Allah SWT, Productive Waqf is found in the Al-Quran verses about nafkah, namely Surah Al-Baqoroh verses 261-263 and Surah Al-'Imran verse 92. The method used is Hermeunetics with the perspective of Al-Manar interpretation. In fact, the Qur'an does not explain the meaning of waqf clearly, but the scholars agree that in the Qur'an what is meant by waqf here is infaq. This is because the basis used by the scholars in explaining the concept of waqf is based on the findings of the Qur'anic verses that explain infaq. Among them are Surah Al-Baqarah verses 261-263 and Al-Imran verse 92.

This paper is a type of field research, data collection methods: observation, interviews and documentation, which the author conducted at the Thalabul Ilmi Al-Hanif Lampung Council, located in Teluk Betung Barat, Bandar Lampung City. The method of analysis uses a phenomenological approach. The results of this study show that there are several kinds of related mortal experiences in the MTI Al-Hanif Lampung assembly, experienced by pilgrims based on surah Al-Anfal verse 2, so they use these propositions to understand the experiences that occur to them. Some of these Sufis wept, screamed and were silent in various forms of mortal expression carried out by them.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the spirituality movement in the modern world has penetrated into the foundations of society. Modern humans always long for a happy life, so people enter into spiritual activities, one of which is by joining GAI which aims to gain a new spiritual life. GAI's offer of spiritual life makes a person have a pluralist attitude in his life in the social realm. The purpose of this article is to find out about their spiritual activities and how they view other Muslim and non-Muslim communities. The method of this research is field research, which uses a religious phenomenology approach. The results of this research show that GAI have dimensions of spirituality such as allegiance and Qur'anic ethics which enable them to feel inner peace. Apart from that, they also view people from other Muslim communities as Muslims in general, and their attitude towards the Ahl-Kitab does not view them with respect. In GAI's view, there is nothing wrong with a Muslim man marrying a non-Muslim woman and eating food slaughtered by the people of the Bible. The conclusion of this article is that a spiritual life causes GAI's religious understanding to become pluralistic and able to open itself to other views.

Abstract

This study aims to critically examine the IKN relocation through the lens of Islamic ecological jurisprudence (fiqh al-bi’ah) and Islamic environmental ethics, by exploring the values of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah and the principles of ecological spirituality as articulated by Seyyed Hossein Nasr. The research employs a qualitative method using a literature review approach, with prescriptive analysis of Islamic legal sources, scientific journals, environmental reports, and statutory regulations. The findings indicate that the IKN project potentially violates principles of ecological sustainability and neglects key Islamic values such as the prohibition of harm (lā ḍarar wa lā ḍirār), maintaining balance (mīzān), and the human responsibility as khalīfah (steward) of the Earth. Nasr interprets the ecological crisis as a manifestation of a deeper spiritual crisis, wherein modernity has severed humanity’s connection to the sacredness of nature. Islamic ecological jurisprudence and environmental ethics offer a new paradigm for development rooted in spiritual values, treating nature as an intrinsically valuable entity rather than a mere resource for exploitation. This study asserts that the IKN project requires deep ethical and ecological considerations to ensure long-term sustainability, including the involvement of Indigenous communities, forest conservation, and adherence to the principles of ecological justice within the Islamic worldview.
