Abstract

This research analyzes the problem of Qibla direction errors in calculating Qibla direction using various coordinate reference points in the city of Bandar Lampung. There is research that calculates the Qibla direction of mosques using the real coordinates of these mosques. This is thought to be less effective and efficient. The focus of this research is a review of the Qibla direction error in calculating the Qibla direction using various coordinate reference points in the city of Bandar Lampung in the framework of determining the Qibla direction accurately and efficiently. The conclusion of this research is that the Qibla direction error review of the Qibla direction calculation using Bandar Lampung city coordinate data is accurate for all places at various points in the city of Bandar Lampung. Calculating the Qibla direction using various coordinate reference points in the city of Bandar Lampung in determining the Qibla direction is less efficient. Keywords: Qibla Galat, Qibla direction, precision, efficiency Penelitian ini menganalisis permasalahan galat arah kiblat terhadap perhitungan arah kiblat dengan berbagai titik acuan koordinat di kota Bandar Lampung. Terdapat penelitian yang menghitung arah kiblat masjid-masjid dengan menggunakan ril kordinat dari masjid-masjid tersebut. Hal ini diduga kurang efektif dan efisien. Fokus penelitian ini adalah tinjauan galat arah kiblat terhadap perhitungan arah kiblat dengan berbagai titik acuan koordinat di kota Bandar Lampung dalam kerangka penentuan arah kiblat yang presisi dan efisien. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah Tinjauan galat arah kiblat terhadap perhitungan arah kiblat menggunakan data koordinat kota Bandar Lampung adalah akurat untuk seluruh tempat di bagai titik di kota Bandar Lampung. Perhitungan arah kiblat dengan berbagai titik acuan koordinat di kota Bandar Lampung dalam penentuan arah kiblat adalah kurang efisien. Kata Kunci: Galat Kiblat, Arah Kiblat, Presisi, Efisien

Abstract

This paper’s point of departure is the fact that while the “secularization thesis” has been academically swept away and religion has uninterruptedly been occupying modern public sphere, on the one hand; and the emergence of new media undoubtedly paves the way for various religious expressions, on the other hand; few muslims are fully aware regarding another contemporary religious challenge they have to critically as well as emphatically engage with: a shifting religious authority. In recent years, ulama, kiai, ustadz, or ajengan—to mention just few “old” or traditional religious authorities—should share their authorities with “new” religious authorities with their far-reaching new media they effectively use—Youtube, Podcast, X, Facebook, or Instagram. With respect to certain religious controversies, religious authority is consequently highly contested between those with religious intellectual expertise and “lay” people merely well-trained with excellent command in using new media. In this respect, this paper makes a case that contemporary da’wah should necessarily be equipped with a sophisticated and far-reaching approach derived from a kind of cosmopolitan Islamic worldview through which a pluriversal and peaceful coexistence would possibly prevail. Drawing on progressively more critical and non-essentialist scholarly works and employing decolonial perspective as its theoretical framework as well as critical discourse analysis (CDA) as its method of analysis, this paper seeks to address and sheds its light on the following main questions: how do new media both simultaneously facilitate and posit a critical challenge for contemporary da’wah; and how is cosmopolitan religious consciousness incorporated and nurtured within a pluriversal society and in an era of—what Jurgen Habermas aptly coins as—post-secular age? Against the backdrop of above-mentioned media disruption and undeniable Indonesian socio-cultural pluriversality, this paper contends, a “Cosmopolitan Da’wah” is not only possible but also the only academically plausible option to foster.

Abstract

This study examines the relevance of Muhammad Abed Al-Jabiri's epistemology to the dynamics of santri education in modern Islamic boarding schools that integrate religious and general education. Al-Jabiri developed an epistemology with three forms of reasoning: bayani, irfani, and burhani, each of which reflects a different approach to acquiring knowledge. Bayani reasoning emphasizes revealed texts as the main source of knowledge, while irfani reasoning emphasizes intuition and spiritual experience, and burhani reasoning focuses on rationality and empiricism. This article also discusses how Al-Jabiri's thinking plays a role in reconstructing santri education to be more adaptive to the challenges of modernity, by balancing religious values ​​and scientific rationality. In the application of Al-Jabiri's epistemology, especially burhani reasoning, knowledge is obtained through systematic deduction, induction, and empirical observation. However, in the context of the development of modern science, this model is considered limited, so M. Amin Abdullah proposed the addition of the concept of abduction, a more dynamic and flexible hypothetical inference method. Abduction allows knowledge to develop through further testing of hypotheses, which opens up space for creative reasoning in dealing with complex phenomena.

Abstract

Management of zakat in Indonesia has two types of institutions, namely the Amil Zakat Agency (BAZ) and the Amil Zakat Institution (LAZ). By definition, the Zakat Management Institution (LPZ) is an institution tasked with managing zakat, infaq, and shadaqah, both formed by the government such as BAZ, as well as those formed by the public and protected by the government such as LAZ. That "Management of zakat is the planning, implementation and coordination activities in the collection, distribution and utilization of zakat." The Amil Zakat Institution (LAZ) is a zakat management institution that was fully formed on the initiative of the people engaged in the field of da'wah, education, social and welfare of Muslims. To maximize the role and function of zakat management institutions, of course, they must be managed as well as possible, they must be accountable, that is, trustworthiness given by muzakki and also trust in distributing it to mustahiq, in the sense of being right on target and effective, including Amil Zakat Institutions managed by all mosques and mushallas in Bandar Lampung. Keywords: zakat, law, socio-economy Pengelolaan zakat di Indonesia terdapat dua jenis Lembaga, yaitu Badan Amil Zakat (BAZ) dan Lembaga Amil Zakat (LAZ). Secara defenitif, Lembaga pengelola zakat (LPZ) merupakan sebuah institusi yang bertugas dalam pengelolaan zakat, infaq, dan shadaqah, baik yang dibentuk oleh pemerintah seperti BAZ, maupun yang dibentuk oleh masyarakat dan dilindungi oleh pemerintah seperti LAZ. Bahwa ”Pengelolaan zakat adalah kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan peng-koordinasian dalam pegumpulan, pendistribusian, dan pendayagunaan zakat.” Lembaga Amil Zakat (LAZ) adalah institusi pengelola zakat yang sepenuhnya dibentuk atas prakarsa masyarakat yang bergerak dalam bidang dakwah, pendidikan, sosial dan kemaslahatan umat Islam. Untuk memaksimalkan peran dan fungsi lembaga pengelolaan zakat, tentunya harus dikelola sebaik mungkin, harus akuntabel, yaitu amanah terhdap kepercayaan yang diberikan oleh muzakki dan juga amanah dalam mendistribusikannya kepada mustahiq,dalam arti tepat sasaran dan tepat guna, termasuk Lembaga-Lembaga Amil Zakat yang dikelola oleh seluruh masjid dan mushalla di Bandar Lampung.Keywords: zakat, hukum, sosio-ekonomi

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the profit sharing from the collaboration between farmer groups and their administrators where the initial agreement at the East Wates Village Farmers Group business unit stated that all members would receive the same profit sharing every year. However, as time goes by, the distribution of profits is no longer the same as the original contract agreement. In practice, the management of the Farmer Group gets a higher profit share than ordinary members. The focus of the research is: how is Maslahah's review towards the profit sharing of farming business sales in the Farmer Groups of Wates Timur Pringsewu Village? The type of study is field research with descriptive-analytic. The primary data derives from the interviews and observations with administrators as well as the members of the East Wates Village Farming Group. Then the data was supplemented with secondary materials from library documents.  The conclusion of this study is that the review of the Maslahah in terms of profit-sharing practices in Farmer Groups in East Wates Village does not bring benefits because there is an element of injustice. It violates the pillars of syirkah where the profits distributed to members are not in accordance with the agreement at the beginning. While the agreement is not immediately damaged or canceled because one of the pillars in the agreement is not implemented. It happens in accordance with a sense of justice due to administrators getting higher profits to match their responsibilities. Keywords: Farming Group, Maslahah, and Profit Sharing

Abstract

Banyak jalan yang pernah dicoba dan ditempuh dalam rangka membangun Islam toleran di Indonesia. Berbagai jalan yang pernah dicoba itu adalah jalan dialog dengan berbagai modelnya, komunikasi etnik, kerukunan umat beragama, hingga kerjasama. Secara teoritik, beberapa pendekatan pernah ditempuh dan dijalankan dalam rangka membangun toleransi yang sungguh-sungguh. Salah satu pendekatan teoritik yang cukup signifikan dan kontekstual dalam membangun Islam toleran di Indonesia adalah melalui  pendekatan tasawuf atau jalan spiritual Islam. Ekspresi spiritual lebih mengedepankan keharmonisan, keterbukaan dan penerimaan akan yang lain yang sejati, tanpa basa-basi atau toleransi yang semu. Spiritualitas adalah inti keberagamaan di Indonesia yang dapat ditawarkan kepada dunia.

Abstract

Imam Khomeini (1902 M—1989 M) adalah sosok sufi yang produktif yang banyak menulis buku-buku bertema ‘irfan. Ia menggunakan istilah ‘irfan, bukan tasawuf, karena dalam mazhab Syi’ah istilah ‘irfan lebih populer ketimbang tasawuf. Sejak usia muda Imam Khomeini sudah menulis dan mengamalkan ajaran sufi. Pemikirannya tentang ‘irfan banyak dituangkan dalam bentuk sajak sufistik. Sajak merupakan media bagi Imam Khomeini untuk menyampaikan kerinduannya kepada Allah. Jenis ‘irfan dalam pandangan Imam Khomeini cenderung simbolik dan menggunakan ungkapan-ungkapan filosofis. ‘Irfan dan filsafat dalam pandangan Imam Khomeini tidak terpisah. Bahkan jika dikelompokkan, maka model ‘irfan Imam Khomeini adalah ‘irfan atau tasawuf falsafi.

Abstract

Abstrak Tasawuf mengalami perkembangan seiring dengan situasi dan kondisi zaman. Saat ini telah bermunculan genre atau aliran dalam tasawuf, salah satunya adalah tasawuf sosial; yakni tasawuf yang tidak hanya mementingkan kesalehan individual, tapi juga peka dan terlibat dalam gerakan perubahan sosial-politik. Corak tasawuf sosial-politik ini berbeda dengan model tasawuf dalam bentuk zuhud, di mana empati sosial dan kepekaan terhadap ketidakadilan sosial menjadi dasar utama gerakan tasawuf model ini.  Model tasawuf ini pada intinya mengajak keseimbangan antara hidup dunia dan akhirat, atau melakukan zikir dan doa sekaligus tetap melakukan aktifitas sehari-hari. Di sini tasawuf dijadikan sebagai jalan bagi perubahan sosial-politik. Kata Kunci: Tasawuf, Perubahan sosial, Perubahan politik

Abstract

Abstrak Kebangkitan Islam di Indonesia tidak hanya ditandai dengan peningkatan jumlah pemeluk Islam di Indonesia, melainkan diperlihatkan dengan suatu ekspresi politik yang menonjol, seperti yang terjadi akhir-akhir ini di lapangan Monas Jakarta di mana ratusan ribu umat Islam menyatakan aksi Bela Islam. Gejala ini oleh para sarjana politik disebut sebagai kebangkitan gerakan populisme Islam Indonesia.  Gerakan ini kian menguat seiring dengan pemilihan presiden dan wakil presiden 17 April 2019 lalu di mana kedua calon sama-sama memperebutkan massa Islam. Populisme Islam sebetulnya sama dengan gerakan populis pada umumnya, di dalamnya ada berbagai kepentingan kelas yang bisa jadi antagonistik dan berbeda tingkat artikulasinya. Ciri khas dari populisme Islam Indonesia adalah, bahasa politiknya dari agama Islam. Populisme Islam merupakan sebuah kritik yang wajar di sebuah negara demokrasi seperti yang dianut oleh Indonesia. Ia merupakan counter yang sehat dan bahkan bagian yang sah dan legal dalam negara yang menganut prinsip-prinsip hukum dan keadilan. Ini justru menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi Indonesia. Menganggap populisme Islam Indonesia sebagai makar dan ancaman, adalah anggapan berlebihan dan kurang ditopang oleh kenyataan sejarah dan realitas politik hari ini.Kata kunci: populisme Islam, tantangan atau ancam,an bagi Indonesia
