Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence Cognitve Behavior Therapy (CBT) had in reducing the traumatic experience of Class VIII-A students at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Utara. This study used a type of quantitative research-experiment with one group pretest-postest design. The data collection method uses questionnaires to determine students' traumatic experiences and observation data consisting of 3 observants to determine the match of statistical calculations with observation data. The pretest results of 26 students were obtained as many as 10 people experienced tarumatist experience and were determined as treatment subjects with a total of 227 gains. The results of the posttest calculation showed that there was a reduction in student trauma with an acquisition of as much as 80.  Based on the calculation of the O1-O2 difference, a result of 36.75% was obtained on a score of 16-30 with the criterion of "sufficient" which means there was a reduction in students' traumatic experiences after being given treatment and observation data showed that 67% were on the criteria of affecting students' traumatic experiences. Thus, the conclusion of the results of this study is that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy influences reducing students' traumatic experiences.

Abstract

Someone who has a high self-confidence attitude will easily make decisions and be more assertive in attitude. But on the contrary, if the person who has a low self-confidence attitude, then the person always feels anxious and hesitant if he decides something. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of storytelling techniques on the self-confidence of grade VII-A students at SMP Negeri 1 Hiliduho. The research design used was a quasy experiment. The research sample was Class VII-A students as the Experimental Class with a total of 24 people and Class VII-C as the Control Class with a total of 26 students. The results of the study: (1) The percentage level of student confidence using storytelling techniques in the Experimental Class was 87.64% with good criteria and the percentage level of student confidence in the Control Class was 53.69% with Less criteria, (2) Based on the results of the hypothesis test on student confidence, Zcalculate value = 1.892 and Ztabel value = 1.645. Because the value of Zcalculate > the value of Ztabel is 1.892 > 1.645, then reject Ho and accept Ha. So that the hypothesis test which reads: "there is an influence of storytelling techniques on the self-confidence of grade VII-A students at SMP Negeri 1 Hiliduho" was accepted at a significant level of 5%

Abstract

One of the factors that favor individuals to successfully adapt to their environment is communication. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brainstorming techniques on students' interpersonal communication skills and how effective brainstorming techniques are in improving interpersonal communication of grade VIII students at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Utara. This study used a type of quantitative-experimental research with a pretest-postest one group design. The data collection method uses tests and observation guidelines. The results showed that the pre-test scores of 10 students in grade VIII-E were in the low assessment range with an average score below 20. After being treated with brainstorming techniques, there was an increase in interpersonal communication skills as evidenced by obtaining an average student post test score above 30. The observation results show it is in the range of 75%. The calculation of the difference between O1-O2 is 47.2% which is in the range of 21-35 values, which is quite increased and the calculation of N-Gain which combines statistical results and observations before and after treatment by 62% with the category is quite effective. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that brainstorming techniques were quite influential and effective in improving students' interpersonal communication skills

Abstract

Self-confidence is one aspect of personality that is important in a person. Without self-confidence, it will cause many problems in a person. Self-confidence is the most valuable attribute in a person in community life, therefore the author is interested in discussing the problem with the title Effectiveness of Cognitive Restructuring Methods on Adolescent Self-Confidence at SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli. The purpose of the study was to determine whether the Cognitive Restructuring Method is Effective for Self-Confidence in Adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli. The research design used was a quasy experiment. The research sample was class XI-MIPA 3 students as an Experimental Class with a total of 31 people and class XI-IPS 2 as a Control Class with a total of 31 students. The results showed that the results of the final test (post-test) that had been carried out, obtained a percentage of confidence in the Experimental Class which was 87.20% with Good criteria. Furthermore, the percentage of student confidence in the Control Class was 54.84% with the criteria of Less. In accordance with the data of the final test results (post-test) described above, it can be concluded that confidence in the Experimental Class has increased well compared to confidence in the Control Class which is still relatively sufficient.
