Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability to write procedural texts of students of class IX B SMP Negeri 1 Alasa Talumuzoi by using Picture and Picture Learning Model. The type of research is Classroom Action Research with the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research data is in the form of qualitative and quantitative data. The research sample was students of class IX B SMP Negeri 1 Alasa Talumuzoi. The results showed that in cycle I, the average score of students was 68.93 with the qualifications of excellent 7%, good 27%, sufficient 30%, and less 37%.  In cycle II, the average score of students was 83.67 with excellent qualifications 33.33%, good 50%, sufficient 16.67%. Based on the results of the study, the application of Picture and Picture Learning Model can improve the ability to write procedure text of students of class IX B SMP Negeri 1 Alasa Talumuzoi.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the types of affixes found in the legend of laowemaru in folklore by F.G Harefa. A type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The collection technique uses reading and note-taking techniques. The instruments used consisted of books, notes/worksheets, and pens by reading early, marking, and recording/pouring the results on the worksheet. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the research show that there are several types of affixes found in the legend of Laowemaru in the folklore by F.G Harefa, including (1) prefixes including {mo-}, {me-}, {la-}, {fa-} and {I-}, (2) the infix {-ga-}, (3) the suffix {-nia}, and (4) the confix {la-I}.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk tuturan siswa dalam pembelajaran puisi berdasarkan maksim kesantunan menurut Geoffrey Leech, yang meliputi maksim kebijaksanaan, kedermawaan, penerimaan, kerendahan hati, kesetujuan, dan kesimpatian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi percakapan siswa dalam 12 kali pertemuan pembelajaran puisi di kelas VIII.  Analisis dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi jenis maksim yang muncul, mengkaji kesesuaian dan pelanggarannya, dengan teori dari para pakar pragmatik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keenam maksim kesantunan muncul dalam tuturan siswa, meskipun frekuensinya bervariasi. Maksim kebijaksanaan dan kerendahan hati lebih dominan, sementara maksim kesetujuan,kesimpatian, dan penerimaan  muncul dalam situasi tertentu. Beberapa tuturan juga menunjukkan pelanggaran maksim, seperti menyela pembicaraan atau menyampaikan pendapat secara tidak sopan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa terhadap prinsip kesantunan masih perlu ditingkatkan. Pembelajaran puisi terbukti dapat menjadi media efektif dalam membentuk sikap berbahasa yang santun jika diarahkan dengan tepat.
