Abstract

The curriculum plays a crucial role as a guide for learning. Teachers and the curriculum are like two sides of a coin that must not be separated. The success of curriculum implementation is greatly influenced by the readiness and abilities of teachers, who serve not only as educators but also as curriculum developers. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the independent curriculum planning and the readiness of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers from cognitive, physical, psychological, and financial perspectives in implementing the independent curriculum, ensuring an effective and efficient teaching and learning process. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study methodology. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the planning of the independent curriculum implementation at SMP N 1 Percut Sei Tuan is adequate but not optimal, as it does not fully align with students' interests and talents. PAI teachers are not fully prepared cognitively, as they do not completely understand the independent curriculum and still focus on teacher-centered teaching. Physically, PAI teachers are young, healthy, and capable of effectively utilizing technology in their teaching. Psychologically, PAI teachers demonstrate readiness with high interest and motivation in implementing the independent curriculum. However, financially, readiness is lacking due to inadequate facilities and infrastructure, although PAI teachers continue to be creative in developing learning media.

Abstract

The Qur’an as a guide to life for Muslims should be studied by constantly reading, interpreting, memorizing and interpreting it. Nowadays, there are many junior high school students who cannot read the Koran according to the correct tajwid, and even make mistakes in pronunciation of the makhorijul letters, and do not know the hijaiyah letters. So there is a need for BTQ extracurricular roles. The aim of this research is to determine the role of BTQ extracurricular activities in improving students' Al-Qur'an reading skills at SMPN 8 Percut Sei Tuan. This research uses qualitative methods using a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study are the Principal, the Person in Charge of BTQ extracurricular, BTQ Extracurricular Trainer, and students. The results showed that BTQ's extracurricular program has an important role in improving the reading skills of students at SMPN 8 Percut Sei Tuan. Although not optimal, when reading the Qur'an students at SMPN 8 Percut Sei Tuan are able to pronounce hijaiyah letters in accordance with the makhorijul letters, are able to recognize the letters that are part of the science of tajweed, understand the theory and can remember examples of tajweed, such as nun sukun, mim sukun and tanwin, so that it can be said to be able to apply the science of tajweed in reading the Qur'an and fluent in reading it.

Abstract

The Prophet Muhammad SAW brought the perfect religion, namely Islam, for the benefit of mankind. The type of worship that has the highest level in Islam is prayer. In Islamic teachings, as we know, there are two types of prayers, namely fardhu and sunnah prayers. The aim of the study was to find out whether there is a relationship between the habit of performing the shuha prayer and spiritual intelligence by students at the At-taufiqurrahman Islamic Boarding School, is there an impact of implementing Duha prayer on spiritual intelligence. The research subjects were taken from teachers, students, some alumni from the At-taufiqurrahman Islamic boarding school. The method for collecting data is through interviews using one of the social media, namely WhatsApp. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of Duha prayer can increase spiritual intelligence and even intellectual intelligence of students at the At-taufiqurrahman Islamic boarding school, namely by growing good character, akhlakul karimah, having an attitude of helping each other, respecting each other, polite and courteous and easier to understand lessons so that it makes it easier for students students in carrying out learning activities.
