Abstract

This research study has a theological aim of the meaning of Spirituality of Humility in a Christian context experiencing a crisis of faith. The background to the writing is the author's observation of several phenomena in the practical life of Christians in modern times which are experiencing degradation, such as lack of willingness, sacrifice, humility, love and faith. The problems experienced by the author believe are due to problems with Christian spirituality in modern times. The author observes the fact that modern humans do not appreciate the events of the cross and calvary (Jesus). This experience provides the principles of spirituality, crumbs and dry leaves, which can answer the problems of modern times. The spirituality of humility brings humans to become friends of Jesus. The author uses descriptive and bibliographic analysis methods. The author conducted a theological study of the meaning of spiritual humility from Eko Armada Riyanto's book "The Spirituality of Crumbs and Dry Leaves". The book used will show problems, which can be answered through the principles of spirituality based on humility. The results of this study are the basis for the implementation of Christian spirituality today. The author hopes to help, increase insight into the spiritual life of Christian life. Spirituality of humility brings people closer to God in whom they believe, spirituality makes people moved by love and affection in their lives. Spirituality brings humans to a deep awareness, especially humility, that comes from God. Becoming humble requires a very long process, so openness to God's love makes humans friends to all and willing to be shaped by God.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji transformasi pastoral Gereja Katolik dalam merespons disrupsi teknologi digital melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis konten dan tinjauan literatur sistematis terhadap sumber-sumber teologis, sosiologis, dan komunikasi religius terkini. Penelitian berfokus pada tiga dimensi utama: rekonfigurasi model pastoral, strategi inkulturasi, dan pengembangan kompetensi digital. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa internet telah berevolusi dari sekadar alat menjadi lingkungan yang membentuk pola pikir, mendorong pergeseran dari model ekklesiologi hierarkis menuju ekklesiologi jaringan yang partisipatif. Inkulturasi digital menjadi imperatif pastoral yang menuntut dialog kreatif antara iman Katolik dan budaya digital, dengan mengintegrasikan adaptasi linguistik, metodologis, dan estetik. Evangelisasi virtual membuka peluang ekspansi jangkauan, namun menghadirkan risiko reduksi iman menjadi konten superfisial. Kesenjangan digital merupakan tantangan etis yang memerlukan pendekatan hibrida untuk memastikan inklusivitas. Digital teologi menjadi fondasi epistemologis untuk pengembangan pastoral autentik, sementara kompetensi digital bagi pelayan pastoral menjadi prioritas strategis. Studi menyimpulkan bahwa pastoral digital harus dipahami sebagai perluasan misi tradisional dalam ekosistem terintegrasi yang memaksimalkan potensi masing-masing modalitas.

Abstract

This study aims to develop catechetical and pastoral strategies for the family as Ecclesia Domestica, supporting the faith growth of Generation Z amid significant digital disruption. The issues of secularization and agnosticism, intensified by global information flows, require transforming the family's role from just a social unit into an active faith-initiating center. Using a qualitative theological and pedagogical literature review, this article examines key texts and empirical research about the spiritual dynamics of today's youth. The findings highlight three key strategies to revitalize the family's role: first, embracing "digitalization of faith" through innovative catechetical approaches like flipped catechesis, which connect Gospel sharing with the digital-native mindset; second, empowering parents as primary spiritual guides to rebuild children's self-esteem and faith motivation, often affected by virtual social pressures; third, incorporating ecological catechesis to reflect a living faith aligned with Generation Z's environmental concerns. The study concludes that youth faith resilience depends on a strong, collaborative relationship between family, church, and school. Positioning the family as a resilient domestic church ensures Gospel values serve as a credible moral guide in an ever-changing world. This synergy helps foster a generation with deep spiritual maturity, ready to witness in a secular modern society.
