Abstract

The use of local materials in the creative industry is now leading to a global economic market. This also had an impact on the women in the Jampue Village PKK who used shell waste as a household-scale craft industry. This service activity aims to educate PKK women in Jampue Village to be more creative in utilizing shell waste as a mainstay product that can compete in the international market. The stages of implementation carried out are by means of socialization and workshops regarding the procedures for making and selecting shells that have the potential to be used as household scale crafts. The implementation of this mentoring program was able to increase the understanding of PKK women in Jampue Village regarding the potential of shell waste which can be used as crafts.

Abstract

Pertanian berkelanjutan adalah pengelolaan sumber daya yang berhasil guna membantu kebutuhan manusia yang berubah sekaligus mempertahankan, meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan dan melestarikan sumber daya alam. Dalam mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan dapat diawali pada anak usia dini guna meningkatkan wawasan dan pemahaman dibidang pertanian khususnya untuk beberapa komoditi pertanian yang dapat digunakan sebagai obat herbal yang diistilahkan sebagai tanaman TOGA (Tanaman Obat Keluarga). TOGA menjadi pilihan masyarakat untuk dibudidayakan di lahan pekarangan atau manggunakan polybag dengan pertimbangan dapat dimanfaatkan untuk kesehatan. Tanaman obat dapat digunakan sumber obat yang aman, tidak mengandung bahan kimia, murah, dan mudah diperoleh. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk (1) memberikan edukasi kepada anak usia dini mengenai pengelompokkan tanaman TOGA dan (2) memberikan informasi manfaat dari masing-masing tanaman TOGA, (3) menambah informasi untuk anak usia dini dalam mengenai tanaman yang dapat diolah menjdi obat herbal. Metode yang dilakukan meliputi penyuluhan tentang manfaat dan cara pengolahan tanaman TOGA serta penyuluhan swamedikasi. Hasil yang dicapai adalah pemahaman mengenai macam-macam tanaman TOGA, pengelompokkan, cara pengolahan dan pemanfaatan TOGA serta pentingnya tanaman TOGA untuk pengobatan mandiri.

Abstract

Green spinach is a vegetable that can be consumed by its leaves as a green vegetable and can be used as a processed food, both as a main menu and as a processed snack. Spinach has many nutritional contents such as protein, minerals, calcium, iron and vitamins needed in the body. Iron contained in the supplement, if consumed in large doses and a long time can cause damage to the intestinal lining, abnormalities in the pH of the body, shock and liver failure. An alternative to meet iron needs can be done by consuming vegetables that contain iron, including green spinach. The purpose of community service is to provide education to the public about the content of green spinach and the processing of green spinach so that it can increase the level of public consumption. This service applies counseling methods related to spinach processing from theory to manufacturing practice. The results achieved are that the public knows about the benefits and content of green spinach which is indispensable for the body and how to process spinach leaves into spinach chips into snacks that children like because this spinach chip snack is not only delicious but also has high nutritional value.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh probiotik Bacillus subtilis dengan penambahan prebiotik ubi jalar dan singkong terhadap total bakteri dan total Vibro harveyi pada saluran pencernaan udang windu. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Mini Hatchery Fakultas Ilmu Kelautan dan Perikanan dan Laboratorium Parasit dan Penyakit Ikan, Departemen Perikanan, Fakultas ilmu Kelautan dan Perikanan, Universitas Hasanuddin. Bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini bakteri Bacillus subtilis, udang windu, ubi jalar, singkong dan Vibrio harveyi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Pemeriksaan meliputi total bakteri dan total Vibrio harveyi pada akhir penelitian Total bakteri pada saluran pencernaan udang yang terbaik diperoleh 12,58 2,85 dan total vibrio harveyi diperoleh 1,2 0,27.

Abstract

Abstract. Fish Cultivation in Buckets (Budikdamber) is an alternative to meet food and nutritional needs. This activity can integrate fish and vegetable cultivation in one installation. Generation Z is one of the spearheads in the development of integrated cultivation towards Indonesia Emas 2045, especially for activity partners, namely the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM). This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to socialize Budikdamber activities at IPM Parepare City which is dominated by Gen Z, so that it can hone soft skills. The Community Service process is carried out through four stages, namely the socialization and training stage, the budikdamber installation construction stage, and the monitoring and evaluation stage. The results of this activity show that Gen Z IPM Parepare City understands the concept of budikdamber, has adequate skills, and is equipped with the facilities and infrastructure to implement the method in their Secretariat. Abstrak. Budidaya Ikan dalam Ember (Budikdamber) merupakan alternatif untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan dan gizi. Kegiatan ini dapat mengintegrasikan antara budidaya ikan dan sayuran dalam satu instalasi. Generasi Z merupakan salah satu ujung tombak dalam Pembangunan budidaya terintegrasi menuju Indonesia Emas 2045, khusunya kepada mitra kegiatan yaitu Ikatan Pelajar Muhammadiyah (IPM). Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan kegiatan Budikdamber pada IPM Kota Parepare yang didominasi oleh Gen Z, sehingga dapat mengasah softskill. Proses Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan melalui empat tahapan, yaitu tahap sosialisasi dan pelatihan, tahap pembuatan instalasi budikdamber, dan tahap monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa Gen Z IPM Kota Parepare memahami konsep budikdamber, memiliki keterampilan yang memadai, serta dilengkapi dengan sarana dan prasarana untuk menerapkan metode tersebut di Sekretariat mereka.

Abstract

One of the areas directly adjacent to the Makassar Strait is the city of Mamuju, which is a potential area for tuna (Euthynnus affinis) fishing. This study aimed to analyze the spatial and temporal mapping of tuna ZPPI based on remote sensing GIS technology for fisheries in the Makassar Strait waters, West Sulawesi. The research method used in-situ data: fishing position, catch results, and oceanographic dynamics. Ex-situ data used monthly image data of sea surface temperature (SST), chlorophyll-a (aqua modis). The data was processed using multiple regression analysis between catch results and several oceanographic parameters. The results were then visualized as a map with a Geographic Information System (GIS) using ArcView 10.2 software to obtain potential tuna fishing areas in the Makassar Strait. The results showed a strong correlation between SST and chlorophyll-a with catch results, which was 83.5%. In addition, temporal time data for fishing was obtained in March, April, May, and June. The coordinates of the fishing area points for March are 118o50'12” and 2O 45'5”; in April, they are at 118O 23'15” and 2O30'4”; in May, they are at 118o 23'0” and 2 o30’4”; and in June they are at 118 o23’0” and 2 o28’0”. The Fishing Potential Zone (ZPPI) for tuna is at 118 o27’ and 2 o29’ 32” to 118 o16’ 48” and 2 o16’ 48”.
