Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pakan buatan lokal  terhadap pertumbuhan, sintasan dan FCR benih ikan mas (Cyprinus carpio). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bukan Juni sampai Juli 2023. di Balai Benih Ikan Passeno Kecamatan Baranti Kabupaten Sidrap Sulawesi Selatan. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan. Data dianalisis dengan analisis sidik ragam ANOVA dan dilanjutkana Uji Lanjut Tukey. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu bahwa  laju pertumbuhan berat tertinggi didapatkan pada perlakuan D : 4,9 gram, perlakuan C : 4,5 gram, B : 4 gram dan A : 2,6 gram. Pertumbuhan panjang tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan D yakni 6,4 cm, perlakuan C : 6,2, perlakuan B : 5,8 cm dan perlakuan A : 5,1 cm. Sintasan yang didapatkan pada  A, C dan D yaitu 100%, sedangkan perlakuan  B yaitu  99%. Konversi pakan perlakuan A : 3,3, B : 2,5 C : 2,7%, dan D : 2,2%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian yaitu bahwa pemberian pakan buatan lokal pada ikan mas (Cyprinus carpio) berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan panjang, berat, sintasan dan konversi pakan. Abstract

Perkembangan pertanian ramah lingkungan diiringi dengan tingginya permintaan produk organik. Jenis limbah rumah tangga bermacam-macam, namun sekitar 75% limbah rumah tangga merupakan sampah organik dan sisanya merupakan sampah anorganik. Sumber limbah terbesar yang dapat menyebar dan berpotensi mencemari lingkungan adalah limbah rumah tangga. Mengolah limbah ini menjadi produk yang bernilai ekonomi tinggi, seperti pupuk organik cair, merupakan salah satu penanggulangan yang dapat dilakukan. Limbah yang paling banyak dihasilkan oleh rumah tangga adalah air cucian beras dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku utama dalam pembuatan pupuk organik cair. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode penyuluhan dan pelatihan bagi ibu rumah tangga dan masyarakat setempat. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dari sesi praktek dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa kegiatan ini secara keseluruhan berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam pembuatan pupuk organik cair dan cara penggunaannya pada tanaman. Antusiasme peserta terhadap pelatihan terlihat selama kegiatan pelatihan ini berlangsung. Hal ini dibuktikan pada saat pemateri memaparkan data hasil uji coba penggunaan pupuk organik cair pada tanaman.

Abstract

Purpose – This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of small fish farmers in Parepare City in adopting maggots as an effective and affordable alternative feed. In addition, reducing dependence on expensive commercial feed will provide significant economic benefits for fish farmers and positively affect environmental sustainability. Design/methodology/approach – The method includes identifying target groups for small-scale tilapia and catfish farmers, as well as training and workshops on maggot cultivation techniques and their use as fish feed. Technical assistance is provided to ensure efficient and environmentally friendly maggot production practices, focusing on using household and market waste as raw materials. Findings – The results of this activity show a significant increase in farmers' understanding of feed diversification and reduced production costs. The participants succeeded in applying maggot-rearing techniques using the stacked bucket method and managing organic waste for maggot production. Participant evaluation revealed that 82% had knowledge of the potential of maggots as an alternative feed, and 100% understood black fly breeding techniques for maggot production. Originality/value – Using maggots from organic waste supports more sustainable fish farming practices, reduces the carbon footprint by utilizing organic household or market waste, and helps overcome waste management problems in Parepare City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh probiotik Bacillus subtilis dengan penambahan prebiotik ubi jalar dan singkong terhadap total bakteri dan total Vibro harveyi pada saluran pencernaan udang windu. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Mini Hatchery Fakultas Ilmu Kelautan dan Perikanan dan Laboratorium Parasit dan Penyakit Ikan, Departemen Perikanan, Fakultas ilmu Kelautan dan Perikanan, Universitas Hasanuddin. Bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini bakteri Bacillus subtilis, udang windu, ubi jalar, singkong dan Vibrio harveyi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Pemeriksaan meliputi total bakteri dan total Vibrio harveyi pada akhir penelitian Total bakteri pada saluran pencernaan udang yang terbaik diperoleh 12,58 2,85 dan total vibrio harveyi diperoleh 1,2 0,27.

Abstract

Freshwater crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) is a valuable aquaculture commodity with relatively easy cultivation. However, low larval survival during early developmental stages remains a major challenge in its farming. This study aims to evaluate the effects of dissolved glucose and amino acid combinations on growth characteristics, molting frequency, and survival rate. The research was conducted in the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Fisheries, Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare, using hatchery-produced crayfish larvae. Four dosage combinations were tested: A) 100 ppm glucose + 250 ppm amino acids, B) 150 ppm glucose + 200 ppm amino acids, C) 200 ppm glucose + 150 ppm amino acids, and D) 250 ppm glucose + 100 ppm amino acids, each replicated three times. The results showed that glucose and amino acid combinations significantly affected crayfish length growth. The highest absolute length growth was observed in the 250 ppm glucose + 100 ppm amino acid group. Meanwhile, the 150 ppm glucose + 200 ppm amino acid combination showed the best performance in molting frequency, number of molting crayfish, survival rate, and percentage of surviving crayfish. Abstract

One of the areas directly adjacent to the Makassar Strait is the city of Mamuju, which is a potential area for tuna (Euthynnus affinis) fishing. This study aimed to analyze the spatial and temporal mapping of tuna ZPPI based on remote sensing GIS technology for fisheries in the Makassar Strait waters, West Sulawesi. The research method used in-situ data: fishing position, catch results, and oceanographic dynamics. Ex-situ data used monthly image data of sea surface temperature (SST), chlorophyll-a (aqua modis). The data was processed using multiple regression analysis between catch results and several oceanographic parameters. The results were then visualized as a map with a Geographic Information System (GIS) using ArcView 10.2 software to obtain potential tuna fishing areas in the Makassar Strait. The results showed a strong correlation between SST and chlorophyll-a with catch results, which was 83.5%. In addition, temporal time data for fishing was obtained in March, April, May, and June. The coordinates of the fishing area points for March are 118o50'12” and 2O 45'5”; in April, they are at 118O 23'15” and 2O30'4”; in May, they are at 118o 23'0” and 2 o30’4”; and in June they are at 118 o23’0” and 2 o28’0”. The Fishing Potential Zone (ZPPI) for tuna is at 118 o27’ and 2 o29’ 32” to 118 o16’ 48” and 2 o16’ 48”.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak penerapan metode pembelajaran berbasis audio terhadap minat dan pemahaman anak-anak di Dusun Benteng dalam mempelajari bahasa Inggris. Metode ini dipilih karena dinilai mampu memberikan pengalaman belajar yang interaktif dan menyenangkan, terutama di wilayah dengan keterbatasan sumber daya pendidikan. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan tes sederhana terhadap anak-anak yang menjadi peserta dalam program ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode audio-based learning secara signifikan meningkatkan minat belajar anak-anak, dengan peningkatan partisipasi dari 30% menjadi 75% setelah penerapan metode ini. Selain itu, pemahaman kosa kata anak-anak meningkat dari rata-rata 10 kata menjadi 25 kata setelah menggunakan media audio seperti lagu dan cerita. Anak-anak juga menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan mendengar dan meniru pengucapan kata serta kalimat sederhana dalam bahasa Inggris. Kata Kunci: Anak-anak , Metode Pembelajaran, Audio-Based Learning Abstract This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing audio-based learning methods on the interest and understanding of children in Benteng Hamlet in learning English. This method was chosen for its potential to provide an interactive and enjoyable learning experience, especially in areas with limited educational resources. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and simple tests conducted on children participating in the program. The results showed that audio-based learning significantly increased children’s interest in learning, with participation rising from 30% to 75% after the implementation of the method. Furthermore, the children’s vocabulary comprehension improved from an average of 10 words to 25 words after using audio media such as songs and stories. The children also demonstrated improved listening skills and the ability to mimic the pronunciation of words and simple sentences in English.

Abstract

This research analyzes the factors causing delays in the reporting of Budget Realization Reports (LRA) at BLUD Puskesmas in Bima Regency in 2023. Two main factors identified are the newly established BLUD status and the limited human resources (HR) in finance. Puskesmas, which was newly designated as BLUD in December 2021, faced difficulties in preparing financial reports according to procedures, with many staff members untrained in financial reporting. Additionally, the broad and diverse geographical location of Bima Regency, with some Puskesmas in remote areas with limited internet access, hindered the reporting process and caused delays. To address these challenges, the Bima Regency Health Office has taken steps such as providing guidance and assistance by BPKAD and Inspectorate teams, monthly reconciliation related to LRA, and the procurement of IT-based applications. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis, which are analyzed using thematic analysis methods.

Abstract

This research investigates the phytochemical composition, antioxidant activity, and antibacterial efficacy of Ipomoea pes-caprae extracts collected from Pantai Talang Siring Pamekasan, Madura. Phytochemical analysis revealed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolic compounds, terpenoids, tannins, and saponins in the extracts, indicating their rich bioactive profile. Antioxidant activity assessed via the DPPH assay demonstrated concentration-dependent scavenging of free radicals, with methanol and ethanol extracts exhibiting superior activity compared to the aqueous extract. Antibacterial assays against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus revealed significant inhibitory effects, with methanol and ethanol extracts displaying greater potency than the aqueous extract. These findings underscore the potential of Ipomoea pes-caprae as a source of natural antioxidants and antimicrobial agents, warranting further investigation into its pharmacological applications and therapeutic potential.
