Abstract

This research aims to identify how buzzer propaganda is used to manipulate public opinion and create a political image favorable to certain presidential candidates, as well as its impact on political ethics and social dynamics. This research uses a qualitative approach with a constructivist paradigm to explore the activities of political buzzers on social media. The methods used include in-depth interviews with expert informants, and literature studies. Data was analyzed using to identify patterns, themes, and persuasive techniques used by buzzers in shaping public opinion. The results showed that propaganda and imagery became the key to success in the presidential election campaign, with buzzers playing a central role in framing the media to support candidate pairs. The transformation of the buzzer function from a business tool to a political tool has a major impact on social and political dynamics, often through the spread of slander and issues that trigger social tensions.

Abstract

Background and Study Aim. Physical fitness serves as a significant indicator of an individual's health and overall well-being. This research aims to analyze students' physical fitness by conducting a comparative study based on social status. Physical fitness was measured as an indicator of students' health and well-being.Material and Methods. Quantitative descriptive research using survey method. This study involved low-grade students from two elementary schools, namely Mujahidin Elementary School and State Elementary School 16 Rasau Jaya, which have different social status. The sampling method used purposive sampling technique, with a total sample of 40 students from each school. Physical fitness data collection was conducted using the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test. Analysis was assisted using the SPSS 26 application.Results. The results showed a significance value of 0.538 > 0.05 that there was no significant difference in physical fitness between students from both schools based on social status. Although there were variations in the mean physical fitness scores, the differences did not reach the level of statistical significance.Conclusions. This study contributes to the understanding of physical fitness differences based on social status among low-grade students. The implications of the results of this study can be used for the development of more focused intervention programs to improve physical fitness, especially among students with economic and educational challenges.

Abstract

Background and Study Aim. Boxing requires an optimal balance between body weight and reaction speed. Body Mass Index (BMI) is a common measure used to assess body composition. For boxers, maintaining weight within the optimal range is crucial for peak performance. Additionally, reaction speed is a key skill in boxing; the ability to quickly respond to an opponent’s moves can significantly impact match outcomes.Material and Methods. This cross-sectional study utilized quantitative data analysis. Primary data included body weight, height, and reaction speed from a sample of 12 PPLOP Central Java boxing athletes. Data normality was assessed using the Shapiro-Wilk test, while the linearity test evaluated whether the relationships between variables were linear. Bivariate correlation tests were conducted. The study used Body Mass Index and Hand Touch Reaction tests with validity levels of 0.98 and 0.323, respectively, for measuring body weight, height, and reaction speed.Results. There is a relationship between body weight and reaction speed with a sig value of .003 <0.05 with a negative relationship direction. 2. there is no relationship between height and reaction speed with a sig value of (0.798>0.05) with a negative relationship direction, 3. there is a relationship between body mass index and reaction speed with a sig value of .001 <0.05 with a negative relationship directionConclusion. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a linear relationship between body weight and reaction speed, there is no linear relationship between height and reaction speed and there is a linear relationship between body mass index and reaction speed.

Abstract

Background and Study Aim. Pencak Silat is a martial art that demands exceptional physical strength, agility, and endurance. Among these, arm muscle endurance plays an important role in performing effective offensive and defensive maneuvers. Improving arm muscle endurance not only enhances technical efficiency but also minimizes fatigue and prolongs performance during matches. This study aims to explore and analyze proven strategies and methods to optimize arm muscular endurance in Pencak Silat athletes.Materials and Methods. This study used a literature review approach to investigate findings related to improving arm muscular endurance in Pencak Silat athletes. The research process involved a systematic search of electronic databases, including Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect, using specific keywords such as “Pencak Silat,” “martial arts,” “arm endurance,” “muscular endurance,” and “training.” After applying exclusion criteria, eight relevant articles were selected for analysis. Additional sources, including university libraries, conference proceedings, and online articles, were also reviewed. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively to identify key themes and effective practices.Results. Some of the key findings in this study include that optimal arm muscle endurance is required by pencak silat athletes to perform repetitive movements such as punches, kicks and locks with maintained speed and power throughout the match. Physiology and Components of Muscular Endurance. Arm muscles have two main endurance components, namely anaerobic endurance (for explosive movements) and aerobic endurance (for long-term endurance). These two components must be drilled in balance to improve the performance of martial arts athletes. Effective Training Methods. Strength training using weights, high-repetition muscular endurance training, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) have been shown to be effective in improving arm muscle capacity.Conclusion. Optimizing arm muscle endurance is one of the important aspects in improving the performance of Pencak Silat athletes. Well-developed arm muscle endurance allows athletes to maintain their strength and technique during prolonged and intense training or competition. This study highlights the importance of incorporating a balanced and targeted training program to maximize athletes' potential and support their success in Pencak Silat. By synthesizing insights from existing literature, this study seeks to provide clear and practical recommendations for designing effective training programs tailored to the needs of athletes.
