Abstract

Marketing of agricultural products is done conventionally. However, along with technological advances, conventional marketing is gradually shifting to marketing through online media. Therefore, the millennial generation needs an early understanding of digital media to market agricultural products. Education, training and entrepreneurship conducted by farmers can improve the quality of business management in the optimal agricultural input subsystem. Students at Major General Sutoyo High School who will become future millennial farmers are the hope for developing young agricultural entrepreneurship. This is because farmers are older and not used to using digital technology. The purpose of the community service is to introduce digital marketing in agricultural products to the students of SMA Mayjen Sutoto because they have great potential but a weak bargaining position. Digital marketing is a business that markets products and services to consumers through digital media connected to the internet. The method of this activity is survey, socialization, training to farmers how to manage business in the agricultural input subsystem. The results of this community service are community empowerment activities in managing agricultural product marketing carried out at SMA Mayjen Sutoyo which can be used in good business management (becoming an agricultural business entrepreneur). The enthusiasm given by SMA Mayjen Sutoyo students for this activity is very good, and their enthusiasm is high to take part in coaching, agricultural product marketing techniques and how to use digital marketing in managing an effective agricultural product business.

Abstract

The price gap between the price obtained by farmers and the price obtained by retail traders indicates that the price received by retail traders is not the price received by farmers. Prices are high when production is low, on the other hand during harvest the prices obtained are usually low, even though the product may not sell well because there are many products on the market. As a result of large price fluctuations, potato is a seasonal crop and its varied production often creates uncertainty for farmers in terms of income or profits for farmers. The purpose of this research is to analyze the price transmission elasticity of potatoes in Karo Regency and to analyze the marketing margin and farmer share. This research uses secondary data for 5 years (72 months) from 2018 to 2022. The research method used to analyze price transmission elasticity is simple linear regression. The results showed that the price transmission elasticity of potatoes in Karo Regency was inelastic. The marketing margin received by potato wholesalers in Karo Regency is RP 5,348/Kg, with a percentage of 24.67%. the marketing margin received by retail potato traders in Karo Regency is RP 11,152/Kg, with a percentage of 32.11%.

Abstract

Kentang memiliki potensi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan masyarakat Indonesia. Salah satu kabupaten di Sumatera Utara dengan produksi kentang terbesar kedua adalah Simalungun, sehingga pengembangan harga kentang perlu diawasi dengan baik. Masalah yang dihadapi pada kentang adalah fluktuasi harga, tingginya marjin pemasaran dan transmisi harga disebabkan oleh kekuatan pasar yang dimiliki oleh pedagang pengumpul desa atau pedagang perantara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis transmisi harga kentang di kabupaten Simalungun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan model dinamis Error Correction Models (ECM) untuk menganalisis transmisi harga kentang yang terjadi pada jangka pendek dan jangka panjang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Transmisi harga terjadi pada harga di pasar kentang di tingkat produsen ke harga pada pasar konsumen kentang di Kabupaten Simalungun , dimana perubahan harga pada pasar produsen kentang akan ditansmisikan sepenuhnya pada pasar kentang tingkat konsumen di Kabupaten Simalungun dalam jangka panjang, dan membutuhkan waktu 1.5 bulan ditransmisikan dari pasar produsen kentang ke pasar konsumen kentang pada jangka pendek. Abstract

Rubber Replanting is the cutting down or cutting of unproductive rubber trees, renewing old plants and replacing the plants with more productive plants. In general, rubber plant rejuvenation is carried out when the plant reaches the age of 25-30 years. However, in this study, rejuvenation was carried out on 14-year-old rubber plants. This research was conducted to determine the cost of cutting down rubber trees independently in an area of 1 Ha, and utilizing tree waste into useful firewood. This research was conducted from September 30 to October 12, 2024 with a research area of 1 hectare. The cost of replanting using heavy equipment generally costs 10 - 15 million in 1 Ha. This information was obtained from direct interviews with business actors who provide heavy equipment rental services in the form of excavators in the Padang Lawas area. Based on the economic ability of rubber plantation farmers, using Chainsaw machine tools is estimated to be more economical than using heavy equipment such as excavators. How to replant rubber by cutting rubber trees one by one and chopping trees into firewood. Analysis using Descriptive analysis and secondary data. The results showed that replanting using chainsaw is more economical than using heavy equipment (Excavators) and rubber trees that are uprooted can be of economic value and this research can be a reference for farmers who want to do replanting

Abstract

Potensi peningkatan daya saing Sumatera Utara dapat dilakukan melalui ekspor cocoa butter (mentega kakao) ke Malaysia, dimana ekspor cocoa butter terbesar Sumatera Utara adalah ke Malaysia. Potensi tersebut dapat memberikan nilai tambah bagi industri pengolahan kakao Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis daya saing cocoa butter Sumatera Utara di Malaysia. Kajian kuantitatif menggunakan data sekunder berupa data volume ekspor BPS dan harga ekspor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi daya saing cocoa butter asal Sumatera Utara di pasar Malaysia adalah regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor volume ekspor cocoa butter Ghana, harga ekspor cocoa butter Sumatera Utara, harga ekspor cocoa butter Ghana, harga ekspor cocoa butter Pantai Gading. Kebijakan kepabeanan ekspor biji kakao memiliki pengaruh positif, dimana faktor tersebut meningkatkan daya saing cocoa butter asal Sumatera Utara di pasar Malaysia, ekspor cocoa butter asal Pantai Gading, harga dalam negeri cocoa butter. Nilai tukar rupiah Indonesia terhadap ringgit Malaysia memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap daya saing cocoa butter, sehingga dapat melemahkan daya saing cocoa butter Sumatera Utara di pasar Malaysia.

Abstract

Cabai merah merupakan komoditas ekonomi tinggi dan strategis di Sumatera Utara. Fluktuasi harga yang tinggi menimbulkan kerugian bagi produsen dan konsumen karena perubahan harga yang cepat, sehingga diperlukan arus informasi yang cepat. Adanya selisih harga yang besar antara harga cabai merah produsen dan harga konsumen menunjukkan bahwa volatilitas harga cabai merah disebabkan perbedaan biaya distribusi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis volatilitas harga cabai merah, menganalisis integrasi pasar cabai merah dan menganalisis transmisi harga cabai merah. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode ARCH/GARCH untuk menganalisis volatilitas harga cabai merah, metode VECM (Vector Error Correction Model) untuk menganalisis integrasi pasar cabai merah, dan AECM (Asymmetric Error Correction Model) untuk menganalisis transmisi harga cabai merah di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan harga produsen dan konsumen rendah karena volatilitas harga produsen dan konsumen rendah. Dalam jangka pendek, ada beberapa tingkat harga pasar yang tidak terintegrasi, tetapi dalam jangka panjang terjadi integrasi antara pasar produsen dan grosir. Harga produsen cabai merah ditransmisikan langsung ke harga konsumen cabai merah di Provinsi Sumatera Utara dalam jangka panjang. Di sisi lain, harga grosir dan konsumen cabai merah ditransmisikan langsung ke harga produsen dalam jangka pendek.
