Abstract

As a country governed by the rule of law, Indonesia is certainly not exempt from legal policy in the process of formulating legislation. The concept of legal policy refers to the policies and procedures that the government can employ to establish a legal system. Based on this, the problem formulation arises regarding the nature of the political aspects of legislation in the Job Creation Law (Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja) and the development and participation of the society in the creation of the Job Creation Law. The research method used is normative juridical, with a statute and conceptual approach. The results of the discussion show that the political aspects determine the objectives of what will be formulated in the legislation. In Indonesia, the formulation must be based on Pancasila, which serves as the fundamental norm of the state. The increasing critical and wise development of society must be taken into account to involve them in the formulation of legislation. The involvement of society aims to ensure that the resulting regulations will be beneficial for the people.

Abstract

Within the horizon of international law, individuals can only be held accountable if they commit violations of international criminal law as set out in the Rome Statutes. However, environmental destruction does not fall within the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court to prosecute. On the other hand, environmental destruction is often attributed to the state as a subject of law, even though individuals who are the main perpetrators of environmental destruction cannot be held accountable internationally. This shows weaknesses in the international legal system in arresting and punishing individuals responsible for environmental damage across borders. The research method used is normative research with a legislative approach, in this study using several international provisions. The result of this study is that recognition of environmental destruction is very important, especially when the state is held accountable by other aggrieved countries. This accountability request can be brought to International Court of Justice with certain limitations. Through Article 5 of the Rome Statute, this recognition allows international courts to prosecute perpetrators of environmental destruction, so that law enforcement of environmental destruction can be carried out to the maximum. It is hoped that there will be an active role in Indonesia and the international community in responding to environmental destruction and making it as a 'Crime' special. Thus, international environmental law enforcement becomes more optimal and provides justice for all affected parties, both directly and indirectly.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe participation of young voters in the democratic process is crucial in determining the future of the country. Young voters play a significant role in expressing their aspirations and voices in the democratic process. The low awareness among young voters, especially among students, poses a challenge to democracy due to the limited involvement of young people. Young individuals who meet the criteria for voting have the right to actively participate in the electoral process and express their choices. This right is constitutionally protected and forms the basis for the exercise of political rights. One of the ways to enhance the awareness of young voters and encourage their active participation in elections is through education and community engagement. This is particularly important in the context of SMAN 34 Jakarta. The goal of community engagement activities is to increase the awareness of young voters and motivate them to use their voting rights in elections. The method employed in these community engagement activities is the presentation and delivery of educational materials to the participants. During these activities, evaluations are conducted to assess the participants' understanding. The outcomes of these community engagement activities include increased awareness and understanding among young voters. This serves as a positive starting point in building a more democratic and participatory society in the electoral process. Keywords: Young Voters, Voting Rights, Democracy, StudentsABSTRAKPartisipasi pemilih pemula dalam pesta demokrasi merupakan suatu hal penting dalam penentuan masa depan negara.
