Abstract

This research aims to improve basic locomotor movement skills in grade 5 elementary school students through active learning interventions based on traditional games. In this research, researchers used a quasi-experimental research design with stratified random sampling. Two groups of students were selected, where one group was given active learning intervention, while the other group was a control group that received conventional learning. The research instruments used included basic movement skills tests, student response questionnaires, participant observation, and field notes. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and the T test to compare the differences between the two groups before and after the learning intervention. The statistical calculation method used was the T test, which was used to compare the differences between the experimental group and the control group in terms of improvement in basic locomotor movement skills after the intervention. By using the T test, researchers can evaluate whether there are significant differences between the two groups and whether traditional game-based active learning interventions are effective in improving the basic movement skills of grade 5 elementary school students. The research results show that traditional game-based active learning interventions have a significant positive impact in improving basic locomotor movement skills in grade 5 students. This shows the important potential of interactive and fun learning methods in improving the quality of learning and the development of students' motor skills. In conclusion, active learning interventions based on traditional games can be effective in improving basic locomotor movement skills in grade 5 elementary school students. This research provides important implications for the development of a more inclusive and student-centered curriculum at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan sejauh mana kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan keterampilan bertanya pada pembelajaran PKN kelas IV SDN 101952 Tualang Kecamatan Perbaungan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menyajikan data berupa analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Analisis kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan keterampilan bertanya pada pembelajaran PKN kelas IV SDN 101952 Tualang Kecamatan Perbaungan dengan aspek keterampilan bertanya dasar tergolong dalam kriteria “Sangat Baik” dengan skor perolehan 1458, persentase 78,9%. Sedangkan dari aspek keterampilan bertanya lanjut tergolong kedalam kriteria “Sangat Baik” dengan skor perolehan 1496, persentase 81%. Total skor perolehan pada semua aspek adalah 2954 dan skor masksimal 3696 dengan persentase 79,9%. Maka dari itu kemampuan guru dalam menerapkan keterampilan bertanya pada pembelajaran PKN kelas IV SDN 101952 Tualang Kecamatan Perbaungan bisa di katakan “Sangat Baik”

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media using the Benime application integrated with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model for the topic of changes in the states of matter at the elementary school level. The research was motivated by the lack of student engagement in learning activities and the prevailing teacher-centered approach. The study employed a Research and Development method using a modified ADDIE model that included three stages: analysis, design, and development. The resulting product, in the form of educational animated videos, was validated by content experts, media experts, and classroom teachers, achieving an average validation score of 84%, indicating a high level of feasibility. Benime facilitates engaging visualizations and interactivity, encouraging students to actively explore and solve problems. The originality of this research lies in the integration of Benime animation and the PBL model in science instruction at the elementary level which has not been widely applied. This research implies a significant potential for enhancing technology-based learning quality and fostering students’ active participation in knowledge construction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) on the subject of Magnetism in grade V at SDN Kuta Pasie with a total of 23 students. The study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles. Data were collected through learning outcome tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests, supplemented by observations of student activities and documentation of the learning process. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively by comparing pre-test and post-test scores using a paired t-test and calculating Cohen's d effect size to determine the strength of the effect. The results of the study show an increase in the average score from 38.3 on the pretest to 76.5 on the posttest, with an average difference of 38.3 points. Learning completeness increased from 1 student (4.3%) to 12 students (52.2%). The paired t-test produced a t-value of 7.190 with a Cohen's d effect size of 1.499, which is classified as large. These findings indicate that the application of the PBL model is effective in improving students' understanding of magnetic concepts while also encouraging an increase in learning completeness.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, yaitu  menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini yaitu eksperimen kuasi (quasi experimental design) bentuk nonequivalent control group design. Bentuk ini merupakan pengembangan dari eksperimen murni (true experimental design). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 064972 Medan kelas pada tema 4 Kelas V SD tahun ajaran 2021/2022 yang berlokasi di Jl. Medan Amplas Patumbak.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 064972 Medan pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023 sebanyak 95 siswa yang berada dalam IV SD.Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Siswa kelas IV A  sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas IV B sebagai kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pengolahan data yang telah dilkukan oleh peniliti, yaitu hasil keterampilan proses sains peserta didik yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model project based learning pada materi sumber energi di kelas IV SD 064972 medan. Bahwa pengaruh nilai rata-rata yang di capai peserta didik pada hasil keterampilan proses sains di kelas eskperimen meningkat sebesar 31.10 dengan varians sekitar 148.91 dan standar deviasi sekitar 12.20, berdasarkan hasil pretest kelas kontrol memiliki rata-rata 33,62 dengan varians 86,17 dan standar deviasi sekitar 9.28.
