Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengetahui program tahfidz Al-Quran,mengetahui dampak program tahfidz Al-Quran terhadap pendidikan karakter santri serta kendala dalam menerapkan tahfidz Al-Quran yang pembentukan karakter santri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Kualitatif deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun intrumen yang digunakan adalah pedoman observasi, pedoman wawancara dan dokumentasi . Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu: kondensasi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bawhwa program tahfidz Al-Quran dipondok pesantren dilakukan setiap hari Senin sampai Jumat di waktu Pagi, sore dan malam, sedangkan dihari Sabtu dilakukan hanya diwaktu pagi saja. Yang diawali dengan berdoa, motivasi, setor hafalan bergilir baik ziyadah maupun muraja’ah,evaluasi kemudian penutup. Program tahfidz Al-Quran ini berdampak terhadap karakter santri sehingga dapat melahirkan insan yang Qurani, cerdas, berilmu, terampil, dan berakhlak. Kendala yang dihadapi dari penerapan program tahfidz Al-Quran terhadap pendidikan karakter santri ini antara lain lingkungan yang negatif, kurangnya ilmu dan perhatian dari orang tua, pengaruh media sosial dan kurangnya motivasi diri santri itu sendiri. Dampak dari program tahfidz Al-Quran di pondok pesantren Al-Hikmah Muhammadiyah Sukoharjo berdampak pada pembentukan karakter santri, sehingga dapat melahirkan insan yang Qurani, cerdas, berilmu, terampil, mandiri, dan berakhlak The purpose study was to find out the tahfidz Al-Quran program, to know the impact of the tahfidz Al-Quran program on students character education and the obstacles in implementing tahfidz Al-Quran which builds the character of students. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection methods used in this research are observation, interviews, and documentation. The instruments used are observation guidelines, interview guidelines and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out through three stages, namely: data condensation, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The results in this study indicate that the Al-Quran tahfidz program in Islamic boarding schools is carried out every Monday to Friday in the morning, afternoon and evening, while on Saturday it is only carried out in the morning only. Which begins with praying, motivation, depositing rote memorization in turn both ziyadah and muraja'ah, evaluation then closing. The tahfidz Al-Quran program has an impact on the character of the students so that they can produce people who are Quranic, intelligent, knowledgeable, skilled, and have morals. Obstacles faced from implementing the Al-Quran tahfidz program for students' character education include a negative environment, lack of knowledge and attention from parents, the influence of social media and the lack of self-motivation of the students themselves. The impact of the Al-Quran tahfidz program at the Al-Hikmah Muhammadiyah Sukoharjo Islamic boarding school has an impact on the formation of the character of the students, so that they can give birth to people who are Quranic, intelligent, knowledgeable, skilled, independent, and have good morals
