Abstract

Kemampuan literasi sains sangat penting untuk ditingkatkan pada diri siswa karena salah satu tolok ukur kemampuan kognitif berdasarkan PISA yaitu literasi sains. Selain literasi sains, terdapat kemampuan bernalar kritis yang juga perlu ditingkatkan pada diri siswa karena merupakan salah satu karakter Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Dengan demikian, dilakukan penelitian ini yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan literasi sains dan bernalar kritis siswa setelah menggunakan bahan ajar liveworksheets pada materi sifat koligatif larutan di SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif dengan desain Pre-Experimental tipe one-group pretest-postest. Sampel pada penelitian ini hanya satu grup siswa yaitu siswa kelas XII MIA-1 SMA Negeri 1 Langsa yang berjumlah 32 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes dan observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu: persentase rerata skor, dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah siswa yang mempunyai literasi sains tingkat tinggi hanya 9,37% pada pretes, dan mengalami penambahan jumlah siswa menjadi 87,50% pada saat postes. Jumlah siswa yang mempunyai bernalar kritis tingkat tinggi sebanyak 43.75% ketika pretes, dan jumlahnya bertambah menjadi 90,63% ketika postes. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan bahan ajar liveworksheets dapat memberikan kontribusi peningkatan skor dan jumlah siswa yang berkategori tinggi pada literasi sains maupun bernalar kritis.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many base sets contained in computational calculations. The selection and use of base sets play an important role in determining the accuracy of the calculation of theoretical molecular properties as well as in lowering the BSSE (base set superposition error). This study aims to analyze the influence of base set variations on the calculation of hydrocarbon and halogen acid energy stability using computational methods. The research method used is an experimental method. Molecular modeling using Avogadro software with the molecules used are halogen acid molecules and alkanes C1 - C5. The calculation uses NwChem software with the DFT method, functional BL3YP with 4 different base sets, namely STO-3G, 321-G, cc-pVDZ, and cc-pVTZ. The resulting data is then analyzed and compared with database calculations. The results of the study show that the higher the base set used, the more accurate the calculation results obtained. The base set that shows the most accurate results in this study is cc-pVTZ. However, it should be noted that the most accurate set bases can be different for each molecule.

Abstract

This research is an innovation in learning media development, by creating interactive media based on Articulate Storyline 3 on acid-base concept. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. Data were collected through validation sheets filled out by material and media experts, as well as response questionnaires involving teachers and students. The trial was conducted on 28 students of class XI IPA 2 at SMAN 2 Langsa. The validation results showed a score of 0.87 from the material expert and 0.93 from the media expert. In addition, the practicality results based on response questionnaires from teachers and students reached 90.4%. Thus, the interactive media that has been developed is declared feasible and practical to be used in learning acid-base concepts.
