Abstract

The acquisition of mathematical proficiency among university students, particularly within the Department of Elementary Education at Universitas Syiah Kuala, Aceh – Indonesia, often presents challenges. Integrating religious undertones into mathematics pedagogy represents a constructive approach to engender student engagement and augment comprehension. Such integration affords students a familiar contextual backdrop, fostering a more meaningful learning milieu. This article delineates the development of an instructional resource imbued with Islamic motifs, specifically addressing concepts related to integers. The study cohort comprises 115 second-year students enrolled in the Department of Elementary Education at Universitas Syiah Kuala. Methodological stages encompassed preliminary inquiry, developmental endeavors, and evaluative assessments. Research instrumentation encompassed validation protocols for assessing integrity and observation metrics capturing students' instructional engagements. Additionally, assessments, accompanied by post-instructional questionnaires, were administered to gauge student perceptions. Qualitative data analyses were conducted, evaluating the product's viability across dimensions of validity, applicability, and efficacy. Iterative revisions were undertaken during the instructional resource's refinement process. Outcomes underscore the aptness of the Islamic-imbued mathematics instructional material for second-year students within the elementary education domain. The implications of these findings underscore the advantages conferred by familiar-contextualized learning materials in facilitating students' mathematical comprehension.

Abstract

The learning process that focuses on the teacher is actually learning that is not effective, this causing student learning outcomes to drop and do not reach the KKM (Minimum Learning Criteria). The research question in this study is whether there is a significant effect on the use of the Discovery Learning (DL) model on learning outcomes (values) in class IV KPK material at SD Negeri 5Banda Aceh?. The purpose of this study was to find out how significant the influence of the use of the Discovery Learning model was on student learning outcomes in class IV KPK material at SD Negeri 5 Banda Aceh.By using a quantitative approach and equipped with a quasi-experimental design with the type of control group (Pre-Test and Post-Test) Nonequivalent (Nonequivalent pretest and post test Design). The research location is SD Negeri 5 Banda Aceh which is located at Jalan Sultan Alaidin Johansyah, Seutui, Baiturrahman District, Banda Aceh City. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling technique with a sample of all students in grades IV A and IV B with a total of55 students. The test is the main instrument in the form of pretest and posttest. Analysis of the research data used IBM SPSS STATISTIC Version 25 for Windows and the hypothesis was tested with the Paired Samples Test t-test. The results of testing the hypothesis with the Paired Samples Test t-test statistic obtained a significance value (2 tailed) of: 0.000 0.05. Then the conclusion of the results in making a decision is that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the use of the Discovery Learning model on student learning outcomes on KPK material at SD Negeri 5 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

This activity aims to assist the people of Kemerleng Village, Linge District, in utilizing Moringa leaf tea and the potential of local resources as an effort to prevent stunting. The approach used involves outreach and education to increase public awareness of the importance of balanced nutrition and the use of local plants that are rich in nutrients. One of the main focuses is to introduce Moringa leaf tea as an innovative product that can support stunting prevention. This activity also aims to provide insight to the public about the benefits of Moringa leaves which have high nutritional content, even though up to now they have only been considered an ordinary or wild plant. During the implementation of the program, it was found that factors causing stunting included a lack of attention to nutritional needs for pregnant women, low awareness of the importance of child nutrition, and a lack of public attention to children's growth and development as a whole. Through the socialization carried out, the community gave a positive response and showed increased understanding. regarding the benefits of Moringa leaves as a food ingredient with high nutritional value. It is hoped that this program can be the first step to build public awareness in preventing stunting based on local potential.
