Abstract

The study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Medan as a public information provider in the Utara region. The research uses content analysis, audience engagement, and technical performance evaluation. The results show that despite RRI Medan's success in providing public information, there is potential for improvement in local news and programs. This study contributes to understanding radio media's role in public information and providing specific recommendations for improving RRI Medan's effectiveness.

Abstract

This research was written and packaged to provide information related to mass communication. This article links mass communication to political policy. Mass communication can be used as a medium to monitor policies made by the government. Basically, Indonesia is a democratic country and the people's prosperity will be prioritized. Therefore, to follow up on unfair policies carried out by the government, a forum is needed to be able to correct this. This article will discuss how mass communication can fulfill the function of monitoring political policies. Political policies will also be described in this article, accompanied by an examination of policies that are not appropriate by society. The mass communication model will determine the direction of how this mass communication will run. Mass communication will definitely have the effect of building public awareness and correction towards the government.

Abstract

To determine the effectiveness of using digital communication platforms on social relations among adolescents at SMK Negeri 2 Binjai is the aim of this study. Simple linear regression analysis is the method used. Simple linear regression analysis was conducted after the classical acceptance test. This is to first ensure that the model does not have problems with normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. 30 young people from SMK Negeri 2 Binjai as the population in this study. Based on the results above, we can see that the coefficient of determination (R2) value is 0.60 or 60%. Therefore, this value means that the variables in the use of digital communication platforms have a 60% impact on social relationships, and the remaining 40% of other variables not discussed in this study are affected. To get meaning and satisfaction from digital communication, we can approach this means of interaction with intention and authenticity. Text messages are edited many times and sent to several friends to be edited before finally being sent to the recipient do not always fully represent our true feelings.
