Abstract

Ecotourism is a sustainable tourism development concept that aims to support environmental conservation efforts and increase community participation. The current management system for ecotourism activities in Bahoi village is not optimal. Collection of fees and marketing of ecotourism products to the wider community has not gone well. Several facilities supporting ecotourism activities have begun to be damaged and destruction of mangroves by the community around Bahoi village is still occurring to this day and ecotourism activities currently only focus on marine tourism. The development of mangrove forest ecotourism areas provides economic benefits for local communities, but its management requires cooperation between the community and the government. Arranging ecotourism areas, adding and improving infrastructure supporting ecotourism activities, and marketing systems and management systems for mangrove forest ecotourism areas are the main objectives of researchers in this research. The research was carried out in August-December 2018, data collection methods were carried out by direct observation in the field (observation), interviews, documentation and literature study. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative methods. Namely determining the model and strategy for developing the mangrove forest ecotourism area in Bahoi village. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that there is a need for good management planning in developing mangrove forest ecotourism areas in order to improve the local community's economy. In addition, people's concern for the environment will increase.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan problem based learning terhadap pemahaman konsep tata surya pada siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan model penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus, dengan setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas 6 SD Negeri Ketanggungan 06 yang berjumlah 34 orang. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes pemahaman konsep dan lembar observasi, serta disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep tata surya pada siswa sekolah dasar secara signifikan. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep tata surya dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata tes pemahaman konsep yang meningkat dari 79 menjadi 93 pada siklus II, ini artinya pembelajaran yang dilakukan selama dua siklus ini mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 17,7%. Selain itu, hasil observasi juga menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih aktif, antusias, dan termotivasi dalam pembelajaran tata surya dengan menggunakan PBL. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari presentase keaktifan siswa yang meningkat dari 81% menjadi 90% pada siklus II. Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning, kemampuan pemahaman konsep, tata surya. IMPROVING THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM THROUGH A PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING APPROACH IN SD NEGERI KETANGGUNGAN 06 ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the application of problem-based learning on the understanding of solar system concepts in elementary school students. This research was conducted using a classroom action research (PTK) model. This research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research involved 6th grade students of SD Negeri Ketanggungan 06, totaling 34 people. The data were obtained using concept understanding tests and observation sheets, and presented in the form of tables and graphs. The results showed that the application of problem-based learning model can significantly improve the understanding of the concept of solar system in elementary school students. The increase in understanding of the concept of the solar system can be seen from the average value of the concept understanding test which increased from 79 to 93 in cycle II, this means that the learning carried out during these two cycles has increased the average value by 17.7%. In addition, the observation results also showed that students were more active, enthusiastic, and motivated in learning the solar system using PBL. This can be seen from the percentage of student activeness which increased from 81% to 90% in cycle II. Keywords: Problem Based Learning, concept understanding ability, solar system.
