Abstract

Family centered care is the most important thing in child hospitalization which requires children to stay and be cared for in the hospital and must undergo treatment until their return home. Hospitalization in children is a process for a planned or emergency reason requiring the child to stay in the hospital undergoing therapy and care until returning home. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the family centered care approach and the impact of hospitalization on preschoolers at Lamadukelleng Hospital, Wajo Regency. This type of research is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. Data was collected through a questionnaire sheet. The sample in this study were 30 children in the child care room at Lamadukelleng Hospital, WajoRegency. The sampling technique uses a non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique. Data were processed using univariate and bivariate methods with the chi-square test. Based on the research results, it was obtained that p was 0.01, which means that the p is <0.05, thus it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the family centered care approach and the impact of hospitalization on preschool children at the Lamadukelleng Hospital, Wajo Regency. Advice that can be given by the Hospital Institution to develop hospital services, especially in child nursing. For families, it can provide input for families to develop roles in caring for children so as to minimize the impact of hospitalization on children. Abstrak Family centered care merupakan hal terpenting dalam hospitalisasi anak yang mengharuskan anak untuk tinggal dan dirawat di Rumah Sakit dan harus menjalani perawatan sampai pemulangan kembali ke rumah. Hospitalisasi pada anak merupakan proses karena suatu alasan yang berencana atau darurat mengharuskan anak untuk tinggal di rumah sakit menjalani terapi dan perawatan sampai pemulangan kembali kerumah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pendekatan family centered caredengan dampak hospitalisasi pada anak prasekolah di RSUD Lamaddukelleng Kabupaten Wajo. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar kuesioner. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu anak yang ada di ruangan rawat anak RSUD Lamaddukelleng Kabupaten Wajo sebanyak 30 sampel. Teknik pengambil sampel menggunakan metode non probability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data diolah menggunakan metode univariat dan bivariat dengan uji chi-square. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh p sebesar 0,01 dimana artinya p < 0,05 dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan pendekatan family centered care dengan dampak hospitalisasi pada anak prasekolah di RSUD Lamaddukelleng Kabupaten Wajo. Saran yang dapat diberikan pihak Institusi Rumah Sakit untuk mengembangkan pelayanan rumah sakit khususnya dalam keperawatan anak. Bagi keluarga dapat memberikan masukan bagi keluarga untuk mengembangkan peran dalam merawat anak sehingga meminimalkan dampak hospitalisasi pada anak.

Abstract

Kondisi individu dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya adalah akses dan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan. Seiring meningkatnya taraf hidup masyarakat Indonesia, kesadaran akan pentingnya mutu layanan rumah sakit pun ikut bertambah. Secara umum, Total Quality Management (TQM) merupakan suatu pendekatan untuk meningkatkan mutu pelayanan. Jika diterapkan dengan baik, TQM dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan kepuasan pasien, karena dianggap sebagai alat penting dalam upaya perbaikan kualitas layanan rumah sakit. Kepuasan pasien sendiri diartikan sebagai sejauh mana individu merasa terpenuhi harapannya terhadap layanan yang diterima. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain potong lintang (cross-sectional study) untuk menganalisis populasi atau sampel tertentu. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah nonprobability sampling dengan metode total sampling, yakni seluruh anggota populasi dijadikan sampel penelitian. Dari 37 responden yang diteliti, sebanyak 22 orang (59,5%) menilai bahwa pelaksanaan TQM sudah baik, 12 orang (32,4%) menilai cukup, dan 3 orang (8,1%) menilai kurang. Dalam hal kepuasan pasien, sebanyak 33 responden (89,2%) menyatakan sangat puas dan 4 orang (10,8%) merasa puas. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara penerapan TQM dan tingkat kepuasan pasien di Rumah Sakit Hikmah Citra Medika Sengkang. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari indikator-indikator seperti Kepemimpinan (Leadership) dengan nilai p-value 0,000, Perencanaan Strategis (Strategic Planning) dengan p-value 0,000, dan Fokus pada Pelanggan (Customer Focus) dengan p-value 0,004 — seluruhnya menunjukkan signifikansi karena berada di bawah ambang 0,05

Abstract

Hospitals are complex organizations in which leadership serves as a determining factor for the quality of services provided to patients. Situational leadership emphasizes the flexibility of leaders in adapting their style according to the conditions and maturity level of team members to achieve optimal organizational effectiveness. This study aimed to comprehensively analyze the relationship between situational leadership and the effectiveness of medical teams at Prima Husada Sengkang Hospital. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed in this study, which was conducted in September 2025. The study sample consisted of 32 medical team members selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires to measure situational leadership (12 items) and team effectiveness (10 items). Data analysis was performed using Pearson’s correlation test. Univariate analysis showed that the average score of situational leadership was 43.6 and team effectiveness was 37.8, both categorized as moderate to high. Bivariate analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between situational leadership and medical team effectiveness, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.612 and a p-value of 0.000.These findings indicate that higher levels of situational leadership are associated with greater effectiveness of medical teams in achieving goals, coordination, and job satisfaction. The adaptive ability of leaders to assess team situations and provide appropriate guidance is crucial in the dynamic hospital environment. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between situational leadership and medical team effectiveness at Prima Husada Sengkang Hospital, which warrants management attention to enhance institutional performance.
