Abstract

The presence of QRIS can be applied at various business scales, including MSMEs which are an important pillar of the Indonesian economy. The problem in this research is to determine the implementation of using QRIS as a payment method in the growth of MSMEs in Bali? This research aims to see the level of development of local MSMEs in Bali with QRIS as their digital payment. This research is quantitative descriptive. By using this method, the data collected only follows the criteria and objectives of this research for MSMEs that use the QRIS digital payment system. The results of this research analysis show that the growth of MSME data for each district in Bali has increased, as proven from the beginning of 2020 to August 2023. Seeing the increase in the number of QRIS merchants every year in the Bali Province region illustrates the positive impact it has had on the use of QRIS as a digital payment system. By using a digital-based payment system (QRIS), their merchandise turnover has increased rapidly, thereby improving the economic development of local Balinese MSMEs. Many customers are switching from cash payments to transactions using the QRIS digital payment medium, because of its convenience and security. So more and more local Balinese MSMEs are using QRIS, indicating that QRIS is improving the economy of MSMEs in Bali.

Abstract

Along with its development, the online offering business of one of Bali's local MSMEs has become an alternative in between busy work. With the obstacles faced by several business actors, especially in villages, the convenience provided by digitalization becomes a problem. Seeing the obstacles to payment from selling offerings online, a deep understanding of a transparent financial technology system is needed to make it easier and provide confidence to the Balinese Hindu community who carry out online banten ceremony transactions. This study aims to see the influence of Digital Financial Technology in increasing the development of local MSMEs and will automatically improve the community's economy. This research method uses descriptive analysis by looking at data on the growth of digital payment technology. The study results show evidence that local MSMEs are greatly helped by digital financial technology such as QRIS, virtual accounts, and e-wallets that can be accessed via smartphone. We cannot avoid digitalization, but we must be able to surf the fast wave of digitalization. With the many conveniences provided, it is hoped that the online offering business of one of Bali's local MSMEs can develop better and benefit the economy, especially the Hindu community in Bali.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Financial Technology (FinTech) and Digital Payment Innovation on the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bali. This research employs a quantitative approach with Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression analysis to examine the relationship between FinTech usage, digital payment innovation, and MSME competitiveness. Data were collected from 100 MSME owners across various sectors in Bali, using structured questionnaires and direct interviews. Classical assumption tests, including normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation, were performed to ensure the robustness of the regression model. The research results show that FinTech usage and digital payment innovation significantly and positively affect MSME competitiveness, with an R-squared value of 0.605, indicating that the two independent variables can explain 60.5% of the competitiveness variance. This implies that adopting financial technology facilitates access to financial services and enhances transaction efficiency, leading to better market reach and competitive advantage for MSMEs. However, the study is limited to MSMEs in Bali, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings to other regions. Additionally, the analysis did not include external factors such as government regulations and infrastructure limitations. Future research should expand the geographical scope and incorporate these external variables to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of FinTech's impact on MSMEs. The study suggests that stakeholders, including government and financial institutions, should encourage the adoption of digital financial services to enhance MSME competitiveness in an increasingly digital economy.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to provide a basic understanding of the concept of entrepreneurship and business development and to inspire students to start recognizing business opportunities around them. Amidst the development of technology and globalization, the world of work is undergoing major changes. The trend of digitalization has created great opportunities for the younger generation to start businesses based on creativity and technology. High school students are at an age where creativity is developing rapidly. They have great potential to recognize opportunities around them, especially in local contexts such as the food sector, crafts, and technology-based services.  The method used in this activity began with field observations by visiting students at Gurukula Bangli Senior High School. It continued with a presentation from the lecturer on the problems faced by the students, then a discussion related to the presentation material presented. There was an increase in scores from the pre-test to the post-test of 41.79% of all Gurukula Bangli high school students who participated in community service. The assessment results show that students can understand good business opportunities that have great potential for students and are brave enough to start small steps in the business world. The author appeals that there is still a need for real action from students to see these business opportunities as an opportunity that must be utilized to achieve success.
