Abstract

This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning. Because the teacher has not used a learning model that is adapted to the characteristics students. This research to describe student learning outcomes by using the Inquiry model on integrated thematic learning. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) that uses quantitative and qualitative approaches which are carried out in two cycles. The research subjects were teachers and fifth grade students at SDN 06 Lasi Mudo Agam Regency with a total of 20 students. The results showed an increase in 1) The average assessment of the RPP in the first cycle 89% (good) and second cycle 94% (very good) 2) The average observation of the implementation of learning aspects of teachers in the first cycle 88% (good) and the second cycle 97 % (very good), 3) The average observation of the implementation of learning aspects of students in the first cycle was 82% (good), and the second cycle was 93% (very good), 4) The average student learning outcomes in the knowledge aspect of the first cycle was 80.2 ( B +) and cycle II 90.6 (A), 5) The average student learning outcomes in the skills aspect of the first cycle was 79 (B +) and second cycle was 87 (A). Therefore the Inquiry model can significantly improve student learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning.

Abstract

Abstract

The goal of this study was to determine how student achievement motivation and the use of digital learning media affected primary school kids' literacy abilities. With a pretest-posttest control group design, this study is a quasi-experimental investigation. Three public elementary schools in West Pasaman Regency—SD Negeri 02 Pasaman, SD Negeri 03 Pasaman, and SD Negeri Pasaman—with a combined enrollment of 20 pupils each were used for this study. 60 students make up the sample in this study. Both tests and questionnaires were employed as data gathering tools. The following types of data analysis were used: the Normality test, the homogeneity test, the F test, the one-way ANOVA, and the follow-up test or Post Hoc. Results of the ANOVA test and statistical tests were calculated using the significance levels (sig.) = 0.000 and () = 0.05. This demonstrates that the rise in the N-gain score for literacy skills and the attainment of posttest scores differ. Digital learning tools have improved literacy skills by 79.28 percent (high category). This is better than traditional learning with a score of 52.77 including the medium category and learning with solely digital learning material in experimental class 2 with a value of 68.01 including the medium category.

Abstract

Diarrheal disease remains a persistent public health challenge in Indonesian municipalities despite substantial improvements in basic sanitation infrastructure. This comprehensive review synthesizes epidemiological data, microbiological water quality assessments, and environmental health risk factors to elucidate the complex pathways linking water safety, sanitation practices, and disease incidence. Examining municipal surveillance data from Payakumbuh City, West Sumatra (2020–2024), we document a 24.3% reduction in reported diarrheal cases concurrent with modest improvements in municipal water quality metrics. However, critical sanitation vulnerabilities persist, with 10.8% of households maintaining reliance on microbiologically contaminated wells (mean E. coli: 3,367 CFU/100mL), and 65.2% of septic tank systems never receiving professional emptying. Spatial risk mapping reveals that 85.1% of municipal subdistricts face high-to-very-high wastewater management hazards despite 78.4% coverage by piped water systems. This investigation demonstrates that the discrepancy between aggregate infrastructure coverage and micro-level sanitation quality represents the principal challenge in tropical urban settings. Targeted interventions addressing critical gaps in septage management, household-level water treatment, and behavioral hygiene transformation are necessary to accelerate disease reduction. The integration of Environmental Health Risk Assessment (EHRA) methodologies with epidemiological surveillance provides an evidence framework for prioritizing resource allocation in resource-limited settings.
