Abstract

Training activities for creating promotional content through product photography for Poktan Mustika administrators were held in two locations, namely at Jl. Kerja Bakti No. 23, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, and in the Smartclassroom Room of YARSI University. The training participants were the daily administrators of Poktan and were tasked with creating photo content for product promotion. This training aimed to improve participants' understanding of basic product photography techniques, including exposure settings, lighting, composition, use of aids, and simple photo editing. Training evaluation was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests with 13 indicators of understanding. The results showed an increase in the average understanding of participants from 2.51 to 4.49 (scale 1-5), or an increase of 78.57%. The highest increase was seen in the aspects of lighting settings, photo composition, and the use of manual camera mode, while the lowest increase was in the ability to explore shooting angles. In addition, all participants stated that their insight had increased and they were satisfied with this activity with an average satisfaction level of 4.67 (scale 1-5). Overall, this training activity was deemed successful and effective in improving participants' product photography skills for digital promotional purposes.

Abstract

Despite the rapid expansion of the formal Islamic financial sector in Indonesia, grassroots Islamic microfinance institutions—specifically Baitul Maal wat-Tamwil (BMT)—experience precarious growth largely attributed to a deficit in public trust. A critical factor driving this trust gap is the exclusion of BMTs from the national deposit insurance framework provided by the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS). This study employs an exploratory qualitative case study design to investigate the legal, institutional, and operational frictions preventing the integration of BMTs into state-backed guarantee schemes. By triangulating data from elite informant interviews (policymakers from LPS, the Ministry of SMEs, and KNEKS) with a qualitative scoping questionnaire administered to 13 BMT managers, this research uncovers a landscape defined by regulatory arbitrage and institutional voids. To overcome this regulatory stagnation, this paper argues for the restart and operationalization of the APEX (Secondary Cooperative) model. Analyzed through the lens of the "competition-collaboration nexus," the APEX structure enables isolated BMTs to survive a highly competitive financial ecosystem by pooling liquidity, enforcing standardized self-regulation, and establishing mutual guarantees. Ultimately, this industry-led model serves as a vital transitional mechanism toward eventual state-level financial integration.

Abstract

While entrepreneurship education is widely promoted as a catalyst for economic development, its actual impact on students' practical entrepreneurial success remains underexplored. This mixed-methods research investigates the contextual factors shaping entrepreneurial outcomes among Vocational Education and Training (VET) students in Indonesia. Survey data from 453 students were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) and subsequently contextualized through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). The findings indicate that relational support, structural support, and self-confidence positively influence entrepreneurial success. Interestingly, formal educational support alone did not demonstrate a significant direct impact, serving instead as a foundational element that requires practical execution and networking to be realized. Furthermore, self-confidence emerged as a strong independent predictor rather than a moderating variable. Given that self-confidence emerged as the strongest predictor of success, universities must prioritize initiatives that actively build this psychological resource. This study offers practical recommendations for educational institutions and policymakers to cultivate an integrated entrepreneurial ecosystem that moves beyond theoretical classroom instruction.JEL: L26, I23, I25.
