Therefore, training and counseling were held on the processing of dimsum and nuggets made from slengek fish. After the service was carried out in Kawasan Kota Tuo, the community had obtained information and knowledge about the technology for processing slengek fish into products that have added value, namely dimsum and nuggets and the community had received digital marketing counseling that had never been received before and through this training partners were guided how to use social media as a forum for the promotion of its products so that it is expected to be a stimulant of economic growth.

Abstract

Kelurahan Rawa Makmur RT 09 Muara Bangkahulu District is one of the areas in Bengkulu City, where the majority of the livelihoods are laborers and traders. Currently in Rawa Makmur RT 09, especially the PKK women are empowering ornamental plants, namely telang flowers. Besides being an ornamental plant, the flowers have health benefits and have the potential to be processed as herbal drinks. Telang flowers are blue, purple or purplish blue in color which comes from anthocyanin compounds. The compound is beneficial for health because it has antioxidant activity. Anthocyanins found in telang flowers have good stability, so they are often used as natural dyes in food. Apart from being a colorant, the anthocyanin content in telang flowers has a function as a source of antioxidants that function as an antidote to free radicals in the body. Tea is a raw material for refreshing drinks that is widely known and favored by people around the world. Currently, various kinds of herbal teas have been developed, such as spice tea, moringa tea, and telang flower tea, which contain many antioxidants that are good for the body. Telang flower herbal tea has the disadvantage that the aroma of telang flowers is less favorable when brewed. Therefore, to produce flavorful tea, additional ingredients are needed that can be used as aroma enhancers, such as pandan leaves, ginger rhizomes, and lemongrass stems.

Abstract

This community empowerment program aims to educate residents of Desa IV Suku Menanti on making an organic pesticide called “Pestoganik” from overripe tomatoes and natural ingredients. Pestoganik utilizes bioactive compounds such as tomatine and solanine in tomatoes, combined with garlic, tobacco, lemongrass oil, baking soda, and vinegar. The method involved hands-on training, ingredient demonstrations, and application tests. The solution proved effective in reducing pest populations such as aphids and leaf borers by more than 60% within a week. Additionally, it is low-cost, environmentally friendly, and easy to replicate using local materials. The training not only improved pest management but also raised awareness of sustainable farming practices. This activity demonstrates a simple, community-based solution to reduce dependence on chemical pesticides.

Abstract

Mushrooms are natural resources with great potential in the food and agribusiness sectors. Their high nutritional content, low fat, and variety of types make mushrooms highly valuable as a food ingredient. Additionally, mushrooms can be produced at relatively low costs, making them an attractive commodity for development in the agricultural sector. One increasingly popular processed product is crispy mushrooms. The purpose of this research is to analyze the value-added of crispy mushrooms. The research location was purposively determined in Kampung Melayu, Bengkulu City, considering that there is mushroom cultivation and processing of crispy mushrooms in that area. The sample used in this study consisted of farmers from "Mushroom House" who were purposively selected because they engage in mushroom cultivation and sell processed mushroom products. The research findings indicate that the value-added ratio is 62.12%, calculated by subtracting the output value from the raw material price of Rp.82,000. This means that every 1 kilogram of oyster mushrooms creates added value of Rp.82,000 per kilogram after being processed into crispy mushrooms. The profit obtained from the processing of these oyster mushrooms is Rp.69,200 per kilogram, with a profit margin of 52.42% of the output value.
