Abstract

Public Health Services Kasuari is located in Sono Village, Wedomartani, Sleman, Yogyakarta. This health service has regular health check services to monitor and record baby’s growth every 35 days. Some volunteers write the health record manually using a health card which was prone to damage or loss. Through a community empowerment program, we offer a web-based information system, named posyanduku.net, for recording baby’s health record. The purpose of this information system is to replace a physical card, reducing the risk of losing and damaging the health record. Furthermore, it can increase the accessibility of the health record by providing access to parents and other stakeholders. The data entry starts from the volunteers to entry health records during the health check process. Parents of toddlers can monitor their child’s growth online. After developing posyanduku.net, the team held socialization to the users, such as volunteers and parents. We also provide a user manual to help users to learn on how to use the system. To assess its functionality and effectiveness, we conducted an evaluation by distributing a questionnaire to 16 participants (6 volunteers and 10 parents). According to the questionnaire response, we found that either parents and volunteers perceive that the system is easy to use and useful to administer the toddlers health record. Abstract

Currently, data security is very crucial in a company. Data hacking is increasingly common. Tokopedia experienced a data hack estimated at 91 million user accounts and 7 million merchant accounts. This data is then sold via the dark web, which seriously endangers user privacy and safety. Protection of personal data against hackers from outside is increasingly needed. Management of data recaps and monitoring employee data access in the largest retail company in Indonesia is carried out by the Human Resources division. Due to the large number of employees, daily access to employee data such as attendance is prone to misuse because detection of illegal activities on data is still done manually. In this research, a system based on Google Spreadsheet and Apps Script was created.  which is able to detect illegal activities against employee databases. The system is able to accurately categorize logs based on account and IP address, distinguishing between normal and suspicious logs. The system is able to convert a spreadsheet containing data access recaps into an Excel file and send it to the specified email. System testing was carried out on Human Resources division employees through 6 tests on all system features. The results show that all system outputs are exactly as expected. The system helps Human Resources division employees observe data changes without having to access the database, making it easier to detect illegal data access.

Abstract

Tarakanita Senior High School (SMA) Magelang is one of the private high schools in Magelang, Central Java, which was established in 1984. The problem faced by Tarakanita Senior High School is the lack of teaching staff who can train students to prepare themselves to take part in the 2024 OSN in mathematics. Community service activities aim to help Tarakanita Senior High School students prepare themselves for the OSN Mathematics. The mentoring was attended by 8 students in grades 10 and 11 who were approved by the school to take part in the OSN Mathematics. The method of implementing the activity includes: technical coordination of activities with the vice principal and mathematics teacher, mentoring in preparation for the OSN Mathematics in the form of completing and discussing practice questions, and evaluation with teachers and students of Tarakanita Senior High School Magelang. The series of activities were carried out in November 2023 - April 2024. Evaluation of the success of the activity was carried out at the end of the mentoring for 5 students who actively participated in the activity until the end and 2 mentoring teachers using Gform. The results showed a value of 4.75 (teachers) and 4.58 (students) on a scale of 1 (very bad) to 5 (very good). These results indicate that the implementation of community service has been very good. These results are also reinforced by verbal input from teachers at the end of the activity who expect similar activities to be carried out again in 2025.

Abstract

The Faculty of Information Technology at a private university in Yogyakarta offers two study programs: Informatics and Information Systems. To enhance students' English proficiency, all first-semester students are required to participate in the Introduction to College English (ICE) program, which comprises levels 1, 2, 3, before taking the English for Specific Purposes (ESP) course. A placement test is administered before the start of the first semester to determine students’ initial English proficiency level. This study examines the relationship between students' basic English skills—measured by their ICE placement level—and their academic performance, represented by their first-semester Grade Point Average (IPS). An ANOVA test was conducted on a dataset of 998 students from 2017 to 2021 to determine the significance of this relationship, followed by a Pairwise t-test to identify specific proficiency levels that contributed to significant differences in IPS scores. Data preprocessing steps included cleaning, integration, reduction, and transformation. The ANOVA results revealed a strong correlation between English proficiency and academic achievement, with a p-value (PR > F) of 0%. The Pairwise t-test results indicated that the most significant differences in IPS scores were observed between students with low English proficiency (level 1) and those with higher proficiency (level 3 or ESP). These findings highlight the critical role of English language skills in the academic success of Information Technology students.
