Abstract

The purpose of this article review is to analysis the role of inquiry learning models in English learning outcomes. In this study, the researcher applied the inquiry learning model with the literature review method of journals from the last five years as the research orientation to determine the effectiveness of the learning model in improving the quality of students' English learning at school. The data used in this study are national scientific articles from 2018 to 2023. The author identified 17 articles and selected seven of them for analysis. The results of the literature study show that the inquiry learning model has a significant impact on improving English language learning outcomes in schools. Abstract

The transformational leadership of Islamic-based school principals integrates Islamic teaching values ​​such as justice, trust, and responsibility in carrying out leadership roles. This research uses a literature review method, where data was collected through articles from 2018 to 2024. There are 16 articles that are references from Google Scholar. The research results show that leadership with secular and spiritual concepts, achieves important goals beyond organizational goals while leadership requires high commitment towards Islam, establishing principles, and leadership is not just a responsible humanitarian task. This article can be useful from a theoretical perspective, namely to increase knowledge about Islamic-based transformational leadership. Then it can be used as a reference for subsequent research.

Abstract

Abstract: Principal Instructional Leadership; Literature Review. This study uses the Literature review method which aims to determine how much the role of the principal in the success of instructional leadership. The samples used in this study were 24 journals consisting of national and international journals. The results of this study show that the role of the principal as a school leader is very important in instructional leadership because the principal as a school leader holds a position that has a big role in maintaining and improving the quality of learning in schools. In addition, teachers' teaching performance can be improved by improving principals' performance. Abstract

The study aims to examine the effect of instructional leadership on organizational commitment. This research uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all public elementary school teachers in Pringsewu Regency with a total of 2,736 teachers. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique and obtained 350 samples. The data analysis technique in this study used simple regression. The research findings show that there is a positive influence of head instructional leadership on organizational commitment.

Abstract

Education provides the opportunity to gain skills that will improve one's quality of life in the future. This research discusses teacher Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) which has an important role in achieving school goals and improving the quality of education. Teachers with high OCB tend to take actions that support school progress and development. The aim of this research is to identify factors that influence teacher OCB based on a literature review. The method used in this research is a literature review by analyzing 33 national and international articles published between 2019 and 2024, obtained via Google Scholar. Data collection was carried out by selecting relevant and high quality articles regarding teacher OCB. The data collected was then analyzed to find factors that influence OCB in teachers. The results of the analysis show that the factors that influence teacher OCB include transformational leadership, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, organizational culture, work motivation, and work discipline. This research found that these factors are interconnected and have a positive impact on increasing teacher OCB. The conclusion of this research is that improving these factors can significantly influence teacher OCB, which in turn can improve the quality of education and achievement of school goals. It is expected that this research can become a reference for further research related to teacher OCB.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of principals' instructional leadership and organizational culture on organizational commitment through job satisfaction. This research employed a quantitative approach. The population of this study comprised all primary school teachers in Pringsewu Regency, totaling 2,736 teachers. From this population, a sample of 350 teachers was selected using the cluster random sampling technique. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale. The data analysis technique used in this study was path analysis. The results showed that the direct effect of instructional leadership on job satisfaction was 32.2%. The direct effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment was 17.6%. The direct effect of instructional leadership on organizational commitment was 30.6%. Furthermore, the indirect effect of instructional leadership on organizational commitment through job satisfaction was 2%, with the remaining influence attributed to other variables. Based on the study's results, several recommendations are provided, emphasizing that the principal's instructional leadership significantly contributes to organizational commitment. It is recommended that relevant parties focus on improving the principal recruitment system and providing training to principals to enhance their leadership capabilities.

Abstract

Literature reviews on spiritual leadership lack research, particularly those conducted in the school context between 2020 and 2024. This article explores and reviews the theory and practices of spiritual leadership in schools. The articles used in this literature review were obtained through Google Scholar by entering the keywords "spiritual leadership," "principal leadership," and "school”, with 10 articles selected for further analysis relevant to the key words.  Based on the literature review results, theoretically, in a school context, spiritual leadership can be defined as a model of leadership that intrinsically motivates followers to cultivate vision, hope/faith, and altruistic love that enable followers, including teachers, to enhance their psychological well-being. Practically, (1) teachers' professional well-being is positively impacted by spiritual leadership; (2) principals' performance, students' accomplishments, or academic success are positively impacted by spiritual leadership; (3) organizational citizen behaviors are positively impacted by spiritual leadership. Due to its important impacts, spiritual leadership needs further research to get empirical data in the school context.
