Abstract

Football is an entertainment for many people, not only for men but also for women. Although there are many problems related to comfort, harassment, security and even supporters' riots that have claimed lives, it is not a reason for women to build a community of football supporters. The focus of this study is to determine the motivation of women to join the supporters group community in terms of Maslow's motivation theory, namely (1) physiological needs, (2) security needs, (3) social needs, (4) need for appreciation and (5) self-actualization. Qualitative methods were used in this study with data triangulation in the form of observation, interviews and documentation conducted for 5 (five) months. The research population was members of the PSIS Semarang football supporter community, with a sample of 33 female supporter members, as evidenced by KTA (membership card). Interviews were conducted with 33 (thirty-three), including 16 (sixteen) main informants representing all districts in Semarang City and 16 (sixteen) supporting informants, namely colleagues of the main informants and 1 (one) person, namely the head of the community. Observations were made during the match, after the match, before the match and during community activities, and documentation was obtained through documentary evidence provided by informants and community leaders, and then the data was coded and triangulated into narrative paragraphs. The results showed that of the 16 (sixteen) main informants, there were 4 (four) high school students, 4 (four) students and 8 (eight) workers who had an average age of 21 years. Based on Maslow's motivation theory, the highest and most dominant need for them to join the supporter's group is because of social needs and the least fulfilled need is physiological needs. The needs for security, self-actualization and appreciation are fulfilled but lower than social needs. Their main goal is to join the supporters group because they feel safer and appreciated, get recognition and actively contribute to activities outside the stadium, such as social and humanitarian services. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that the strongest motivation for the PSIS Semarang female supporters group to join the supporter group is the social need to express their love for the Semarang PSIS team, then the need for security, appreciation and self-actualization they still get by joining the supporter's group but it is not the main need. Meanwhile, physiological needs are the least fulfilled needs. Recommendations for other researchers based on this study are to find out and prove the benefits of joining women in football supporter groups. On the other hand, considering the growing football industry, further research needs to be done regarding the role of women, especially supporters, in the development of football in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to look into the use of technology analysis in physical education. The PRISMA standards for systematic reviews and meta-analyses were followed in this review investigation. The study must have been published within the prior five years, from 2020 to 2025. In the search procedure, the following keywords are used: (1) physical education and (2) technology. The search engines Scopus (Science Citation Index Expanded; Social Science Citation Index; Arts & Humanities Science Citation Index). This evaluation included the results of 10 articles. The study revealed two key findings: firstly, Physical Education Pre-Service Teachers (PPETs) frequently employed technology for planning, instructing, and assessing secondary PE classes while also encountering notable barriers in its implementation. Secondly, systematic instruction led to a significant increase in evaluation scores, highlighting the efficacy of structured teaching methods. Additionally, discussions in the article addressed theoretical and practical implications, limitations, and future directions, emphasizing the importance of integrating technology with a clear pedagogical purpose to impact student learning. Technology integration in physical education has enhanced teaching methods and safety, while e-learning adoption in Indonesia requires infrastructure improvements. Additionally, challenges persist in healthcare, including evaluating vaccine models and implementing blockchain technology.

Abstract

The role of a physical education teacher is a long-term career, and efforts to improve the competence of physical education teachers must be the concern of several parties, such as universities, training institutions, and even the Ministry of Education. This concerns the indicators that should be included in the various training programs for prospective physical education teachers. Currently, there is no standardization of the quality of a physical education teacher who is qualified to teach at different levels of education. Several studies have discussed professional development for physical education teachers. However, there has not been much research on pre-service programs for physical education teachers. The purpose of this study is to determine the trend of research on pre-service physical education teacher education (PETE) in different countries from 2014 to 2023. Visualization was done using VOSviewer. The research was conducted with a bibliometric study. The results of bibliometric analysis showed that the most research related to this topic was conducted in the United States with 79 research publications and 1172 citations. The findings provide insight for researchers to identify the components that need to be provided in the pre-service program for prospective physical education teachers in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the state of physical literacy research in Indonesia and contribute to the global discussion on the development of physical literacy in children. It focuses on: (1) the prevailing themes and focus areas in physical literacy research related to children in Indonesia, (2) how these themes have evolved over time, (3) the dominant methodologies used in these studies, and (4) the gaps and areas identified for future research. The Scopus database was used to select articles containing information on the implementation and impact of physical literacy on children in Indonesia. The search followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. After applying exclusion criteria, only seven articles qualified for in-depth analysis. A review of the literature reveals that the development of physical literacy in children requires a planned approach involving a learning model that integrates fundamental motor skills. Evaluation instruments for physical literacy are also crucial, yet only a few adapted instruments have been tested. Moreover, there is currently no specific framework for physical literacy in Indonesia, despite its reliance on the ecological context of a region. This review identifies that research on physical literacy in Indonesia, particularly for children, remains very limited. Considering the critical role of early childhood development for later life, frameworks, assessment instruments, learning models, and programs to enhance physical literacy for children in Indonesia are notably scarce. Future research is expected to focus on these areas
