Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of road infrastructure, Human Development Index (HDI), labor, and minimum wage on economic growth with Investment as a moderating variable. This study uses secondary data in the form of panel data obtained from the official BPS website in Indonesia with an observation period of 2018-2023. The analysis method used is panel data regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with E-Views 12 software. The results of the study show that the variables of road infrastructure, HDI, and labor have a significant positive effect, while minimum wages have a significant negative effect on economic growth. Investment is able to moderate the effect of road infrastructure, labor, and minimum wages on economic growth, but is unable to moderate HDI on economic growth. This study emphasizes the importance of realizing more effective and efficient investment so that it can support the role of road infrastructure, HDI, labor, and minimum wages in increasing the rate of economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

Stunting is a problem associated with chronic malnutrition over a long period caused by not fulfilling a balanced intake of nutrients, where children in the process of growth and development experience disorders such as short height conditions (dwarfism), which means they do not develop as other children in general. In this case, parenting patterns are fundamental because parenting patterns that are less supportive regarding nutrition and health care for children can increase the risk of stunting. Therefore, parents must innovate to meet children's nutritional needs and build healthy eating habits. The service implementation carried out by UIN Salatiga's Community Service Students (KKN) is to guide parents in Losari Village, Sumowono District, Semarang Regency, in supporting children's development with balanced parenting management. Implementing the service is through training in making "nugget mayur". The result of the service is to raise parents' awareness of parenting by paying attention to food intake that is rich in nutrients for children, as the Supplementary Food Provision (PMT). The form of service carried out can play a role in preventing stunting in children.

Abstract

The level of productivity can be used as a benchmark for assessing the performance of a bank so that we can find out how efficient a bank's performance is or how banking productivity is so that we can still get maximum and efficient performance amidst the many choices of customers in choosing bank. This research examines how banking productivity has changed in Indonesia, using banking report data in Indonesia for the 2017-2022 period. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) linear programming model, which is used based on the Malmquist Index to measure changes in Total Factor Productivity (TFP). Regression model to describe what variables influence changes in banking productivity in Indonesia. With the Error Correction Model, the Loan-to-Deposit Ratio (LDR) and Return on Equity (ROE) have a significant effect on productivity in the long term. The pandemic crisis does not affect productivity. Meanwhile, in the short term, Net Interest Margin has a significant effect on banking productivity in Indonesia.

Abstract

The potential of zakāt for the economic empowerment of people who have an entrepreneurial spirit will be realized if the distribution is productive. This productive zakāt will positively impact alleviating poverty, increasing income, and giving birth to new entrepreneurs. This study analyses matters relating to the distribution and utilization of zakāt funds at Rumah Zakat Semarang through entrepreneurship programs and their empowerment management. The method used in this study is qualitative research with Rumah Zakat Semarang as the research object. Data were obtained through interviews and documentation, then analyzed by the descriptive analysis method. The results showed that the distribution of productive zakāt funds at the Rumah Zakat Semarang in the entrepreneurship program was distributed through economic empowerment (Senyum Mandiri), namely community empowerment oriented to integrated community empowerment. This empowerment uses the Integrated Community Development (ICD) model as an integrated and sustainable community-based concept. The results of this study can be used as evaluation and input for zakāt institutions in empowering the community’s economy through productive zakāt funds.

Abstract

This article examines the internal and macroeconomic determinants affecting Islamic banking financing in Indonesia, focusing on Sharia Commercial Banks, Sharia Business Units, and Sharia People’s Financing Banks. Using a quantitative methodology with monthly panel data spanning from 2019 to 2022, the study employs Vector Autoregression (VAR) and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) techniques. The analysis incorporates variables such as Total Assets, Third Party Funds (TPF), Net Operating Margin (NOM), Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), Return on Assets (ROA), Equivalent Rates of mudharabah and musyarakah, BI Rate, and Inflation. Findings reveal that in the long run, TPF, NOM, ROA, and the Equivalent Rate of Musyarakah positively influence Islamic banking financing, whereas NPF and inflation exert a significant negative impact. In the short run, TPF, NOM, ROA, and the Equivalent Rate of Mudharabah are significant influencers of financing. These results highlight the critical role of effective fund management and a stable economic climate in fostering the expansion of Islamic banking financing. The study offers valuable insights for policymakers and banking institutions aiming to improve financial inclusion and economic stability through enhanced Islamic banking practices.

Abstract

Purpose – This study analyzes the relationship between Islamic banking financing and macroeconomic variables as well as its response to key economic variables.Methodology – The research design uses quantitative analysis with Islamic banking panel data for the period 2019-2022 with monthly data, and the study used the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM).Findings – Non Performing Financing (NPF) and Inflation negatively impact Islamic banking financing. Meanwhile, Third Party Funds (Dana Pihak Ketiga, DPK), Net Operating Margin (NOM), Return on Assets (ROA), Equivalent Rate of Musyarakah (ERPMUSY), and BI rates have a positive direction of significance for Islamic banking financing. In the Granger causality test, the interaction between the variables was unidirectional. While Islamic banking financing responds to shocks, many financings respond negatively to the shocks that occur.Implications – Islamic Financing responds significantly in a negative direction as a result of the shocks that occur in each variable and based on long-term estimates. Therefore, Islamic banking needs to supervise and resolve the internal influence of each bank, as well as the macro influence that can be felt in the long term on Islamic banking financing.Originality – This research integrates Islamic banking finance in Indonesia and examines how internal and macro variables can influence the financing disbursed to Islamic banking in Indonesia. This study also examines shocks between variables and tests the Granger causality between variables. Islamic banking needs to pay attention to many factors to minimize bad financing or lack of interest in applying for financing.
