Abstract

This quantitative study aims to identify factors affecting the intention of continuity of digital payment use in Generation Z in the post-Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the concepts of ECM (Expectation Confirmation Model) and TAM (Technology Acceptance Model), perceived ease of use, usefulness, and satisfaction were selected as determining variables. Data were collected through questionnaires from 150 Generation Z respondents as digital payment users and tested based on the SEM-PLS technique using SmartPLS software version 4.0. This research has proven that perceived ease of use and satisfaction are the main factors for the continuance intention of digital payment use in Generation Z, especially in the post-Covid-19 pandemic. In contrast, perceived usefulness is not a significant predictor that affects the continuance intention of use. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the expansion of literacy and increase the development of digital payment systems to meet consumer needs in the current cashless era. Further research is needed in describing the continuance intention of digital payment use in Generation Z by adding more variables and increasing the sample to get better findings.

Abstract

The study explores the key macroeconomic factors influencing Indonesia’s economic growth, focusing on the roles of the Industrial Production Index (IPI), inflation, exchange rates, international trade, and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) within an Islamic welfare framework. The purpose of this research is to examine how these factors contribute not only to material prosperity but also to social and moral welfare. The methodology involves secondary data analysis from 1983 to 2022 using econometric techniques such as multiple linear regression and path analysis. The findings indicate that IPI and FDI have significant positive effects on economic growth, while international trade has a negative impact, primarily due to Indonesia’s trade deficit. Inflation, within controlled limits, stimulates growth, but exchange rate fluctuations show an insignificant effect. The implications suggest that policies integrating macroeconomic management with Islamic welfare principles, such as maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, can foster sustainable economic and social welfare by balancing material growth with ethical considerations.

Abstract

This research investigated how the government stabilized its economy in terms of government spending during the global crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study also tried to identify whether there is a difference in the amount of government spending from the aspect of government spending before the global crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic and after the global crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic. The data covered all members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) spread across 4 continents. In looking at which factors affect economic growth, multiple linear regression is used, and a comparative test is carried out by conducting a Different Paired Sample T-Test. After testing in this study, researchers found that there were differences in government policies in terms of government spending carried out before the global crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic and after the global crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic. The independent variables used in the study had a significant positive influence except for the population. This research also shows that the government's efforts to maintain economic growth by increasing government spending are policies that have been implemented globally. This research is expected to provide recommendations for policies that can be implemented by the government in an effort to stabilize the economy, including increasing per capita income, increasing the human development index, and increasing trade activities abroad and domestically.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of tourism income, MSME growth, Human Development Index (HDI), and zakat on the poverty rate in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. Utilizing panel data from 5 regencies/cities during the period of 2018-2022, the study employs the panel data regression analysis method. The findings of the study indicate that tourism income and MSME growth have a negative but insignificant impact on poverty. This suggests that the benefits of these two sectors have not been evenly distributed to significantly reduce poverty. The HDI is found to have a negative and significant impact on poverty, emphasizing the importance of investing in human resource development as a long-term poverty alleviation strategy. Unexpectedly, zakat demonstrates a positive and significant impact on poverty, which could be attributed to inefficiencies in zakat management and distribution or other uncontrolled factors within the study. These findings highlight the need for a multi-dimensional approach to poverty alleviation, focusing not only on economic growth but also on enhancing human resource quality and improving income redistribution systems. The study provides crucial implications for policymakers in formulating more effective and integrated poverty alleviation strategies in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province
