Abstract

This study aims to improve students' reading skills through the application of teaching media based on picture storybooks in class IV. This research was conducted at SDN 8 Pemenang Barat with a total of 20 students. This research is a classroom action research in which the researcher collaborates with the fourth grade teacher at SDN 8 Pemenang Barat. The object of this research used data collection techniques, interviews, observations, tests, and photo documentation. The data analysis techniques used were qualitative and quantitative techniques. This research can be said to be successful if it reaches the criteria for classical completeness of 80%. The results of the research conducted showed that there was an increase in the reading skills of grade IV students at SDN 8 Pemenang Barat after applying teaching media based on picture storybooks, it was proven that students' reading skills increased every cycle, namely in the pre-cycle at the level of reading student paragraphs were still very low with the classical completeness criteria being 0% or 20 of the students were not complete. In cycle I action, it increased to 30% or 6 out of 20 students were complete, in cycle II it increased to 60% or 12 out of 20 students were complete, and in cycle III it continued to increase which reached 85% or 17 out of 20 students were complete. This research was stopped in cycle III because it had reached the success criteria. So it can be concluded that the application of teaching media based on picture storybooks can improve student learning

Abstract

This research uses a type of qualitative research with a case study approach, which aims to examine the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on students' critical thinking abilities. The subjects in this research were class IV students at SD Negeri 7 Juara Barat with a total of 23 students. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation techniques. Then the data analysis used in this research is: data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that in general in the learning process, teachers carry out several stages, including the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. The planning stage is the stage where the teacher plans and designs the learning process, such as analyzing material, formulating objectives and compiling assessment tools. The implementation stage is the stage where the teacher carries out the learning process in the classroom by creating an active and conducive learning atmosphere. The evaluation stage is the stage where the teacher carries out the process of collecting data, to determine the extent of students' abilities in achieving educational goals. At the implementation stage, the teacher carries out the learning process in the classroom using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model, which consists of six stages, namely the stage of asking basic questions, designing and planning projects, preparing project creation schedules, monitoring students, testing results and evaluating . Based on the stages of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model, it can develop students' critical thinking skills which are characterized by students being able to ask, answer questions, explain, conclude and create projects according to the indicators of critical thinking skills, namely providing simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding. , provide further explanations and determine strategies and techniques.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of teachers in developing students' interest in learning through project-based learning in the Merdeka Curriculum. The focus of this study is the role of teachers as facilitators and motivators in creating an active, creative, and enjoyable learning environment. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that teachers play a crucial role in guiding and facilitating students. The role of teachers has proven effective in increasing student participation, fostering curiosity, and nurturing a passion for learning. Thus, the role of teachers is highly strategic in developing students' interest in learning through project-based learning in the Merdeka Curriculum

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe the implementation of role-playing learning in developing the character of early childhood students in Class B at RA Al-Istiqomah Pemenang. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that role-playing activities help develop various aspects of children's character, such as responsibility, discipline, cooperation, and honesty. Teachers act as facilitators in designing and directing role-playing activities according to the learning theme. Supporting factors include teacher creativity and active child participation, while the main obstacles are limited facilities and time. Overall, role-playing learning is proven effective in shaping positive character in early childhood.
