Abstract

The mass media has specific objectives in every statement, namely to convince readers to be interested and engage in the discourse provided. The purpose of this research is to describe Robert Entman's framing scheme in the online media Detik.com and Kompas.com in reporting on the investigation process to the announcement of the final results of the case of the family's death in Kalideres. This study focuses on two Detik.com news articles titled "Police Find Clues Regarding the Deaths of a Family in Kalideres" and "Next Week, Police Will Conclude the Mystery of the Deaths of a Family in Kalideres," published on November 15, 2022, and December 4, 2022, as well as two Kompas.com news articles titled "When Police Struggle to Unravel the Mystery of the Deaths of a Family in Kalideres" and "Experts Urge the Police to Immediately Disclose the Deaths of a Family in Kalideres, Even Though Unsolved," published on November 17, 2022, and December 1, 2022. The research method used to analyze the news text is descriptive through Robert Entman's framing analysis. The results of the analysis based on Robert Entman's framing indicate that the online media Detik.com informs that the police can easily find the cause of the family's death in Kalideres. Meanwhile, Kompas.com suggests that the police are having difficulty in solving the case of the family's death in Kalideres. Furthermore, Detik.com also portrays the police as optimistic, responsive, and prompt because they firmly commit to announcing the case of the family's death in Kalideres promptly. In contrast, Kompas.com implicitly states that the police are not acting swiftly in handling the case of the family's death in Kalideres and therefore need to be pressured by psychologists to promptly disclose the investigation results of the case.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana pengembangan soft skills dalam manajemen kurikulum berbasis alam memberikan dampak positif terhadap mutu pembelajaran. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum SMP IT Alam Nurul Islam. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dimulai dengan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan diakhiri dengan penarikan kesimpulan. Prosedur penelitian meliputi tiga tahap: pertama, tahap pra-kerja lapangan; kedua, tahap kerja lapangan; dan ketiga, analisis data. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, sekolah tidak hanya mengutamakan prestasi akademik tetapi juga berfokus pada pengembangan soft skills siswa. Berbagai inovasi diterapkan untuk melatih berpikir kritis, adaptabilitas, kerja sama tim, komunikasi, dan pengembangan profesional minat dan bakat siswa. Kesimpulannya, penerapan manajemen kurikulum berbasis alam mendukung peningkatan soft skills sekaligus mencapai capaian pembelajaran akademik.

Abstract

Background and Objectives: There is a growing tendency among some Muslims to neglect the obligatory five daily prayers, despite their fundamental status and unique virtues. One such virtue is evident in the way the prayer was prescribed during the Isra Mi’raj event, where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received the command directly from Allah. This study aims to clarify the linkage between prayer and Isra Mi’raj, emphasizing how internalizing the event’s implied messages can enhance one’s prayer quality (khushū’). Methodology: This is a qualitative library-based study that analyzes classical and contemporary Islamic sources, especially fiqh-oriented tafsīr, as well as previous research. The collected data were examined thematically to uncover the spiritual dimensions of prayer influenced by the Isra Mi’raj narrative. Main Results: The findings suggest that neglect in performing prayers often stems from a limited understanding of their spiritual significance. By appreciating the extraordinary context of the Isra Mi’raj—where prayer was commanded without an intermediary—believers can deepen their spiritual connection, leading to more focus and humility in performing prayers. Research Contribution: This study provides a conceptual framework linking the Isra Mi’raj narrative to the inner dimensions of prayer. Such insights can serve as a reference in religious education and spiritual development programs, encouraging a view of prayer not as a mere ritual duty but as a profound spiritual encounter. Conclusions: Grasping the meaningful lessons behind Isra Mi’raj enriches the believer’s prayer experience, promoting a consistent, heartfelt, and morally transformative adherence to this core Islamic obligation

Abstract

Perlindungan spiritual adalah aspek penting bagi seorang Muslim untuk menjaga ketenangan hati dan melindungi diri dari berbagai ancaman, termasuk santet yang sering dianggap sebagai bentuk sihir. Santet berasal dari kepercayaan tradisional dan dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif, seperti rasa takut, stigma, hingga konflik sosial. Dalam Islam, Surat Al-Mu'awwidzatain terdiri dari dua surat yaitu surat Al-Falaq dan An-Nas. Kedua surat ini sering diajarkan sebagai doa perlindungan kepada Allah dari segala kejahatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis literatur untuk mengkaji relevansi Surat Al-Mu'awwidzatain sebagai solusi spiritual menghadapi ancaman metafisik. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa membaca ayat-ayat Al-Qur'an seperti Ayat Kursi dan Surat Al-Mu'awwidzatain, serta melakukan ruqyah, diyakini efektif menangkal pengaruh ilmu hitam. Selain itu, nilai moral dan etika juga membantu memperkuat mental dan mendekatkan hubungan dengan Allah. kesadaran akan perlindungan spiritual tidak hanya membantu melindungi diri dari ancaman metafisik, tetapi juga mendukung pembentukan karakter, moralitas, dan memberikan makna hidup yang lebih mendalam.

Abstract

The ability to write scientific papers is essential for students, especially those in pesantren. However, challenges such as a lack of understanding of academic standards, finding credible references, and managing citations are still major obstacles. Therefore, Pondok Pesantren Griya Santri Mahabbah conducted training on using Mendeley and Publish or Perish applications to improve the quality of students' scientific work. This activity aims to strengthen technical competence in scientific writing while instilling a culture of literacy based on pesantren values. The training was held on 11 November 2024, with a ‘Participant Active Learning’ approach that involved the active participation of participants. The training stages included application installation, function introduction, and hands-on practice of using both applications. Mendeley is used for reference and citation management, while Publish or Perish helps search scientific literature efficiently. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the use of both applications. Students were better able to search for credible references and manage citations systematically, supporting faster and more structured completion of scientific papers. In addition, this training increases the opportunity for students to publish their work in national and international online journals. With the high enthusiasm of the participants, this activity is expected to encourage the development of scientific writing skills sustainably and support Santri to become a superior intellectual at the global level.
