Abstract

Abstract

Lemon is known as a horticultural commodity that has the highest export value in Indonesia in 2021, reaching US$ 1,529 thousand with a production level of 2,513.86 tons. This lemon business opportunity can be a good prospect and has many benefits in various industries. Cihaurbeuti District is one of the lemon producing districts in Ciamis Regency, but there are fluctuations in production and fluctuations in prices. This happens because there are various farming risks such as production, cost, and income risks faced by farmers. The objectives of this study are to (1) identify the sources of risk of lemon farming, (2) analyze the level of risk of lemon farming, and (3) develop strategies that can be done by farmers in dealing with the risk of lemon farming in Cihaurbeuti District. The analysis model uses descriptive analysis and risk analysis (coefficient of variation). The results showed that there are four sources of risk identified in lemon farming, namelyweather and climate, pests and diseases, production facilities, andprice fluctuations. Based on the results of the analysis, the greatest level of risk faced in lemon farming is at the risk of costs with coefficient variation 3.32 (CV>0.5), it caused by fluctuations in input prices. The strategy carried out by farmers in dealing with production risk is done mechanically and chemically, while the cost risk strategy is to use a contingency budget, but has not done a handling strategy in the face of income risk.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze relationship marketing among coconut sugar traders in Tonjongsari Village, Cikalong District, Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java, and their main suppliers and customers. The analytical method used is the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test, which is suitable for paired ordinal data. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS 26 software. The analysis results show significant differences in the dimensions of trust, satisfaction, and dependence between suppliers and customers, with significance values of 0.038, 0.018, and 0.031, respectively, while the commitment dimension did not show a significant difference (0.713). The categorization results indicate that all relationship marketing dimensions are in the high category, both for the traders' perceptions of the main suppliers and customers. This study concludes that traders have better relationships with customers than with suppliers in terms of trust, satisfaction, and dependence, although commitment did not show significant differences. These findings provide insights for improving relationship marketing strategies in the future.

Abstract

Abstract

Legal certainty is a fundamental aspect of the rule of law in Indonesia, as mandated in the 1945 Constitution. However, legal uncertainty persists due to the weakness of legal institutions, which undermines public trust, social stability, and economic growth. This study explores the challenges faced by key legal institutions—police, prosecutor’s office, and judiciary—and their impact on legal certainty. The research employs a normative legal method with a conceptual approach, analyzing secondary legal sources to assess the effectiveness of legal enforcement mechanisms. Findings indicate that corruption, inadequate infrastructure, limited human resource capacity, and inefficient judicial processes hinder the ability of these institutions to uphold justice. To address these issues, comprehensive legal reforms are essential, focusing on enhancing institutional capacity, enforcing transparency and accountability, integrating technology, and fostering public participation. Strengthening oversight mechanisms and implementing ethical standards for law enforcement officials are also crucial. By adopting these measures, Indonesia can build a more transparent, effective, and just legal system that upholds the rule of law and restores public confidence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze coconut sugar middlemen’s perceptions of their primary suppliers and key customers in Tonjongsari Village, Cikalong District, Tasikmalaya Regency, based on four dimensions of relationship marketing: trust, satisfaction, commitment, and communication. A descriptive quantitative approach was used, and the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was employed to assess perception differences across each dimension among 12 active middlemen. The results show no significant differences in the dimensions of trust (Z = -1.732; p = 0.083), commitment (Z = 0.000; p = 1.000), and satisfaction (Z = -1.414; p = 0.157). However, the communication dimension showed a near-significant value (Z = -1.890; p = 0.059), indicating a potential imbalance in perceptions. The fact that most business relationships have lasted more than 10 years and transaction volumes remain relatively stable suggests that long-term relationships have been established and play a vital role in maintaining the stability of coconut sugar distribution. This study highlights the importance of strengthening communication as a strategy to enhance the effectiveness of relationship marketing in the local coconut sugar supply chain.
