Abstract

Kelompok Tani Karya Laksana VI merupakan kelompok yang bergerak dalam budidaya perikanan di Dusun Citengah, Desa Sukamulya, Kecamatan Cihaurbeuti, Ciamis. Saat ini air yang digunakan untuk pengairan kolam berasal dari sungai kecil. Pada saat musim hujan ketersediaan akan sumber air berlimpah, sedangkan saat musim kemarau, ketersediaan air menjadi sangat terbatas karena adanya penurunan volume air dan menyebabkan kolam mengering. Hal ini menyebabkan para petani menghentikan kegiatan budidaya dimusim kemarau yang berdampak pada berkurangnya pendapatan dan keberlanjutan budidaya ikan. Disamping hal tersebut, Kelompok Tani Karya Laksana VI masih mengalami kesulitan dalam pengelolaan dan pemasaran dalam rangka pengembangan usaha. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah melakukan edukasi manajemen pengelolaan usahatani yang dijalankan serta penerapan teknologi penyediaan air yang ramah lingkungan (eco-tech) dengan pemanfaatan sinar matahari sebagai sumber energi. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilaksanakan di Dusun Citengah, Kecamatan Cihaurbeuti, Ciamis adalah melakukan penerangan mengenai teknologi ramah lingkungan dalam penyediaan sumber air yang dapat menopang produksi ikan air tawar sepanjang tahun. Selanjutnya diberikan pelatihan pengelolaan dan pemasaran usahatani yang dijalankan. Solusi tersebut ditawarkan mengingat pentingnya sumber air dalam kegiatan produksi budidaya ikan air tawar, yang pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan pengetahun, keterampilan, dan kemandirian petani. Pada umumnya peserta pelatihan sangat antusias terhadap penyediaan sumber air dan pelatihan yang dilakukan. Hal tersebut terlihat pada banyaknya pertanyaan dalam proses diskusi yang dilakukan. Masih diperlukan pendampingan dalam pengelolaan sumber air serta pengelolaan usaha budidaya ikan tawar secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Lemon is known as a horticultural commodity that has the highest export value in Indonesia in 2021, reaching US$ 1,529 thousand with a production level of 2,513.86 tons. This lemon business opportunity can be a good prospect and has many benefits in various industries. Cihaurbeuti District is one of the lemon producing districts in Ciamis Regency, but there are fluctuations in production and fluctuations in prices. This happens because there are various farming risks such as production, cost, and income risks faced by farmers. The objectives of this study are to (1) identify the sources of risk of lemon farming, (2) analyze the level of risk of lemon farming, and (3) develop strategies that can be done by farmers in dealing with the risk of lemon farming in Cihaurbeuti District. The analysis model uses descriptive analysis and risk analysis (coefficient of variation). The results showed that there are four sources of risk identified in lemon farming, namelyweather and climate, pests and diseases, production facilities, andprice fluctuations. Based on the results of the analysis, the greatest level of risk faced in lemon farming is at the risk of costs with coefficient variation 3.32 (CV>0.5), it caused by fluctuations in input prices. The strategy carried out by farmers in dealing with production risk is done mechanically and chemically, while the cost risk strategy is to use a contingency budget, but has not done a handling strategy in the face of income risk.

Abstract

Agriculture is a vital sector in the global economy, and to meet the growing demand, efficient management of water resources is a must. Amidst increasing climate instability, Internet of Things (IoT) technology has emerged as a potential solution. This research aims to develop an IoT-based smart irrigation system with fuzzy logic for sunflower plants. The system is designed to monitor and regulate water use automatically, increase productivity, and reduce waste of natural resources. This research uses an experimental model with the Mamdani method in fuzzy inference. It involves hardware (sensors), software (fuzzy logic), and IoT system. The results of this system implementation show that the system successfully performs watering management according to its environmental conditions.

Abstract

Kabupaten Ciamis merupakan salah satu daerah di Priangan Timur yang melakukan produksi jeruk lemon di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Pada tahun 2021 produksi jeruk lemon di Kabupaten Ciamis mencapai 980 kuintal, menjadi produsen jeruk lemon tertinggi ke-6 di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Kelompok Tani Karya Laksana VI merupakan kelompok tani yang bergerak pada bidang budidaya tanaman hortikultura salah satunya adalah petani jeruk lemon di Dusun Citengah, Desa Sukamulya, Kecamatan Cihaurbeuti, Kabupaten Ciamis.Kegiatan usahatani yang dijalankan oleh kelompok tani pada tanaman jeruk lemon mulai dilakukan sejak tahun 2020 pada luas lahan 6.000 m2 dengan jumlah pohon yaitu sebanyak 300 pohon dan sistem pertanaman yang digunakan adalah sistem pertanaman tradisional. Proses pemeliharaan yang dilakukan oleh petani dapat dikatakan belum sesuai dengan kebutuhan tanaman, sehingga mempengaruhi hasil produk dari tanaman jeruk lemon yang dibudidayakan. Selain itu, menurut hasil wawancara, petani menyebutkan bahwa terdapat kesulitan dalam melakukan proses pemasaran hasil produk. Saat ini dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan budidaya yang dilakukan oleh petani masih mengandalkan sistem pertanaman tradisional tanpa memperhatikan kebutuhan nutrisi tanaman yang menyebabkan rendahnya kualitas produk yang dihasilkan oleh petani yang juga berdampak pada pendapatan petani. Program pengabdian ini menawarkan solusi permasalahan tersebut dengan melakukan pelatihan serta pendampingan manajemen produksi dan pemasaran jeruk lemon. Setelah dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan, peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan manajemen produksi sebesar 81,68 persen dan pada pelatihan manajemen pemasaran, pengetahuan peserta meningkat menjadi 79,31 persen.

Abstract

Food is a basic need whose fulfillment is mandatory and urgent and its sustainability needs to be ensured. The recent approach to food provision has highlighted the food system implemented by indigenous peoples in various regions which is still carried out traditionally and pays great attention to the balance of nature, including the indigenous people of Kampung Naga. This study aims to describe and construct the pattern of the food system that has been implemented by the indigenous people of Kampung Naga. This study was designed qualitatively using a systems thinking approach. which is depicted in a causal loop diagram (CLD) located in Kampung Naga, Neglasari Village, Salawu District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The data used in this study are primary data obtained through in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with several informants involved, while secondary data were obtained from various related literature. The results of the study indicate that the food system of the indigenous people of Kampung Naga includes various components that are interrelated with each other, such as social systems and ecological systems that intersect with production, management and processing systems, local mitigation systems and the food consumption system of the indigenous people of Kampung Naga which is still carried out traditionally and considers aspects of sustainability. The results of this study are expected to provide an overview in formulating the concept of sustainable food system management.

Abstract

During Ramadan, demand for palm fruit (kolang kaling) increases by approximately 60%. However, fulfillment of this demand is constrained by the limited availability of palm trees, weak coordination among supply chain actors, and delivery delays. This study aims to describe the overall condition of the palm fruit supply chain and evaluate its performance. A mixed-methods approach was employed, utilizing qualitative analysis through the Food Supply Chain Network (FSCN) framework to map the supply chain, and quantitative analysis using the SCOR model to assess performance. Sampling was conducted through purposive sampling, targeting farmers and processors with consistent production, complemented by snowball sampling to reach actors not easily identified through formal data. The findings indicate that the target market for palm fruit extends beyond local consumption to regional markets. The supply chain structure consists of interdependent collaboration among farmers, artisans, intermediaries, wholesalers, and retailers, and is characterized by three principal flows: product, information, and finance. Constraints are evident in the limited availability of technological and equipment resources. Business processes employ push and pull strategies, depending on demand fluctuations. Performance evaluation reveals weaknesses in several indicators, particularly order fulfillment, compliance with quality standards, asset management, and supply chain cost efficiency. These limitations highlight the urgency of establishing an association of palm fruit supply chain actors to strengthen communication and coordination, thereby supporting the development, sustainability, and competitiveness of palm fruit farming.

Abstract

The potential and business opportunities of pagoda mustard commodities can be said to be very open, but technical and financial information about production is still very limited. Pagoda mustard greens are one type of mustard greens that contain many nutrients and antioxidants that function as cancer preventers. The purpose of this research is to provide an overview of the business of pagoda mustard commodities, especially with the hydroponic wick system cultivation system. The research method used in this study is the calculation of production costs, revenue, income, and feasibility. The research was conducted in a green house in Tamansari District, Tasikmalaya. The results showed that with the green house land area used was 40 m2, the production cost was IDR 2,127,986 with total revenue generated of IDR 4,928.95, so that the total income earned was IDR 2,800,000. The feasibility level obtained in pagoda mustard cultivation with hydroponic wick system is 2.31, indicating that it is feasible.

Abstract

Fenomena alih fungsi lahan menjadi ancaman serius yang dapat mengganggu ketahanan pangan nasional. Kawasan Rumah Pangan Lestari (KRPL) merupakan sebuah program dari pemerintah untuk menggerakkan budaya memanfaatkan dan mengelola lahan pekarangan bagi masyarakat pedesaan maupun perkotaan dalam upaya pemenuhan kebutuhan pangan masyarakat. Kegiatan penyuluhan menjadi salah satu cara yang diharapkan dapat membantu keberhasilan program KRPL.  Untuk menjamin tujuan program dapat tercapai, peran penyuluh juga akan berdampak pada persepsi anggota kelompok wanita tani. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui peran penyuluh dalam program KRPL, mengetahui persepsi anggota kelompok wanita tani terhadap program KRPL serta menganalisis hubungan antara persepsi anggota kelompok wanita tani dengan peran penyuluh dalam program KRPL. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kelompok Wanita Tani Mawar Bodas Kecamatan Tawang Kota Tasikmalaya yang merupakan KWT yang melaksanakan program KRPL dan merupakan salah satu KWT percontohan di Kota Tasikmalaya dengan mengambil sampel sebanyak 24 orang. Data peran penyuluh dan persepsi anggota kelompok wanita tani dianalisis secara deskriptif dan untuk melihat hubungan antara persepsi anggota kelompok wanita tani dengan peran penyuluh dalam program KRPL digunakan uji korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Secara keseluruhan peran penyuluh pada program KRPL termasuk dalam kategori sedang, (2) Persepsi anggota Kelompok Wanita Tani Mawar Bodas mengenai program KRPL termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, (3) Terdapat hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara peran penyuluh dengan persepsi anggota Kelompok Wanita Tani Mawar Bodas dalam program KRPL.

Abstract

Melon fruit has diverse varieties, and the availability of various melon varieties makes melons have a wide market share. Diverse consumer preferences also encourage the creation of various varieties of melons to meet consumer desires and preferences. This study aims to determine consumer preferences for the attributes of golden melon fruit at Taman Hati Farm, analyze differences in consumer preferences towards purchasing golden melon fruit at Taman Hati Farm, and examine the attributes most considered by consumers in making purchasing decisions for golden melon fruit at Taman Hati Farm. The research method used is the survey, the size of the sample is calculated using the linear time function method obtained by 60 respondents, which was carried out by accidental sampling. The study will be conducted from November 2023 to May 2024. The analysis method uses Chi-square analysis and the fishbein multiattribute. The results showed that the attributes of golden melon fruit that became consumer preferences at Taman Hati Farm were that the fruit has no aroma, bright yellow fruit skin color, a very sweet fruit taste, medium-sized fruit (1,27 - 1,71 kg), a crunchy texture of fruit flesh, and prices in the medium category are around (Rp.31,000–Rp.40,000) per kilogram, there is a differences in consumer preferences for the attributes of golden melon fruit, and the attributes that consumers consider in purchasing decisions of golden melons at Taman Hati Farm, they are: size, fruit taste, fruit price, texture of fruit flesh, fruit skin color, and fruit aroma.

Abstract

Goat manure is livestock waste which, if not processed properly, can cause several problems., but has economic value because it can be used as organic fertilizer. The objectives of this service are (1) to increase the capacity of livestock farmers in optimizing the use of livestock waste into organic fertilizer, (2) to reduce environmental pollution resulting from livestock waste, and (3) to increase the economic value of the results of processing this waste. This service is carried out using the training method for making organic fertilizer using Stardec technology. The results of service activities include partners being able to make organic fertilizer from animal waste using Stardec technology. Waste from livestock in the form of goat manure, feed waste and used cage bedding can be utilized properly so as to reduce environmental pollution. Apart from that, farmers and the public can use goat manure to make organic fertilizer which can be bought and sold or used for personal use. This service program received a good response from participants and the satisfaction level of training reached 80% of participants who were satisfied with this activity. The benefits of this training and in the future the production of organic fertilizer can help the economy of the surrounding community.
