Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Perilaku Filantropi Legislator di Desa Pasapa. Penelitian ini di latar belakangi dengan pendapat yang di katakan oleh masyarakat terkait perilaku filantropi legislator yang ada di desa. Hal ini berkaitan dengan adakah bentuk kedermawanan yang dilakukan oleh anggota legislator yang ada di pasapa serta bagaimana pendapat masyarakat terhadap perilaku filantropi tersebut. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang menggunakan surve dan keadaan subjek dan objek yang didasarkan pada keadaan yang nampak. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan cara Wawancara, Observasi dan Dokumentasi terkait dengan penelitian yang dilakukan. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan terkait dengan persepsi masyarakat terhadap perilaku filantropi legislator di Desa Pasapa masyarakat berpendapat bahwa perilaku filantropi legislator sangat membantu bagi masyarakat yang kurang mampu tetapi ada juga beberapa masyarakat yang mengatakan bahwa bentuk filantropi yang dilakukan oleh anggota legislator di Desa Pasapa belum nampak dalam kehidupan di masyarakat pada umumnya khususnya di Desa Pasapa.

Abstract

This research concentrates to analyze student’s engagement in learning English in online environment amid Covid 19. Mr. Bean film used in this study to help students understand English tenses for EFL classroom. A random choice of English subject was made with 21 students from Technique Information of Computer Science faculty at Universitas Al Asyariah Mandar Indonesia. The English tenses content and language level difficulty based on a Mr. Bean film was chosen in teaching were: simple present tense, present continuous, Present perfect, past simple. They looked at the Mr. Bean film, analyze the tenses, re write the tenses in sentences then create their own tenses. After the film, the participants replied to material understanding and questions by retelling on their video. The collected data were subject to descriptive qualitative. The findings showed that Mr. Bean film have a positive effect on English understanding of tenses content. It can be argued that the participants better understand the English tenses with film. In addition, it is found in this study student’s engagement increase and they were motivated to learn English tenses. The teacher's pedagogy is to use a certain Mr. Bean film to enhance the student’s motivation, engagement and help to be easier to understanding tenses.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) merupakan salah satu program dalam pendidikan tinggi di Universitas Al Asyariah Mandar (UNASMAN). KKN sendiri merupakan sebuah bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang diselenggarakan oleh mahasiswa dengan bimbingan dosen terkait dengan pengembangan, pemberdayaan masyarakat atau lembaga dalam bentuk pembuatan karya produk pengabdian yang dipersiapkan bagi peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat. KKN kali ini dilaksanakan dengan mengangkat tema “Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Multitematik berbasis Pendidikan”. Salah satu KKN Multimatik UNASMAN di laksanakan di Desa Tonyaman, Kecamatan Binuang, Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Desa Batetangnga mempunyai 07 dusun dengan jumlah penduduk kurang lebih sebanyak 6018 jiwa. KKN Multimatik di Desa Tonyaman berjumlah 10 orang, 3 orang dari Prodi PPKn, 4 orang dari Prodi Bahasa Indonesia, dan 4 orang dari Prodi Matemtika yang dimana semua mahasiswa berasal dari Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP). Di desa Tonyaman tersebut dilaksanakan program kerja yang telah dibuat oleh para Dosen Pendamping Lapangan (DPL) berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada di dalam desa tersebut, khusunya dalam sekolah. Program kerja keseluruhan pada KKN Multimatik di Desa Batetangnga ini berjumlah 1(Satu), yaitu membuat media pembelajaran berupa Alat Peraga Lorong Evaluasi tematik.

Abstract

This research is motivated by problems regarding sociological behavior in the Mamasa village in the 2019 legislative elections which were indicated by money politics. The purpose of this study is to describe the factors that influence money politics in the 2019 legislative elections in Mamasa district. This study uses qualitative descriptive study design approach in a case study. Subjects of this study are representative of the communities involved with the politics of money on legislative elections 2019 in Mamasa district. The instruments used in this research were interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Based on the survey results revealed that the main factors of the cause of the money politics was low knowledge of the community about the political education greatly affects the occurrence of money politics in the Mamasa village. The influence of money politics was very significant in determining the participation of the Mamasa society for the PILKADA (regional election) in 2019.   Keywords: Money Politics, Election, Practices and Legislative Factors 2019.

Abstract

Since ChatGPT was released to the public, several students have used it for academic purposes. This study aimed to investigate the feasibility of implementing ChatGPT as teaching material to motivate students to learn. This study used a survey method through a questionnaire to obtain data. The respondents of this research were the students of the Engineering faculty at Makassar State University, consisting of 77 students. The instrument used was a questionnaire using the Likert scale. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 26. The findings of this study highlighted that most respondents believed that ChatGPT as teaching material impacted students’ motivation to learn Pancasila and citizenship education courses. The implications of this research are to motivate students to learn, and the lecturers should prepare their materials with the appropriate technology, design effective teaching models, and develop curricula and learning activities that can improve comprehensive understanding of the material being taught, the right learning resources, the right technology, and the right teaching instructions. Abstrak: Sejak ChatGPT dirilis ke publik, beberapa mahasiswa telah menggunakannya untuk keperluan akademis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan penerapan ChatGPT sebagai bahan ajar untuk memotivasi siswa belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei melalui kuesioner untuk memperoleh data. Responden penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Makassar yang berjumlah 77 mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS versi 26. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden berpendapat bahwa ChatGPT sebagai bahan ajar berdampak pada motivasi siswa mempelajari mata kuliah Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memotivasi mahasiswa dalam belajar, dan dosen hendaknya menyiapkan materi dengan teknologi tepat guna, merancang model pengajaran yang efektif, dan mengembangkan kurikulum dan kegiatan pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman komprehensif terhadap materi yang diajarkan, sumber belajar yang tepat, teknologi yang tepat, dan instruksi pengajaran yang tepat.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in education is rising, with ChatGPT, an advanced AI chatbot developed by OpenAI, gaining popularity. This study focuses on exploring the potential of ChatGPT in enhancing academic learning in sociology and politics. Using a quantitative research approach, the study examines student engagement with ChatGPT in an educational setting. The research was conducted with 23 fourth-semester undergraduate students in early 2023. The findings indicate that ChatGPT generates enthusiasm and high levels of student engagement, facilitating activities such as idea exchange, discussions, analysis, and motivation. However, the integration of ChatGPT in education requires well-defined strategies and pedagogical approaches that prioritize critical thinking skills and access to fact-checking resources. The study suggests future research directions to ensure the responsible use of chatbots like ChatGPT in academic environments. Although challenges exist, such as potential bias, the need for human oversight, and risks of misuse, effective management can overcome these obstacles. Leveraging AI in education offers opportunities for students to develop an early understanding of social biases, critical elements, and risks associated with AI implementation. The study concludes with recommendations for addressing these challenges and promoting the ethical use of ChatGPT in education.
