Abstract

Myrmecodia sp., also known as ant plant, has therapeutic potential such as anticancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and other metabolic syndrome therapies, but there are still few publications on it. Candida albicans and Staphylococcus aureus are normal flora in the digestive and vaginal tracts, but under certain conditions, they can cause infections if their growth becomes excessive and is in an inappropriate location. Conversely, although Fusarium sp. is not part of the normal flora, these three microflora can be triggering factors for pelvic inflammatory disease infections in other organisms. The study aims to determine the sensitivity comparison of Candida albicans, Staphylococcus aureus, and Fusarium sp. to Myrmecodia sp., Jack in vitro. The research results obtained a significance value of 0.0000.05, where the most effective concentrations were Candida albicans at 3.2%, Staphylococcus aureus at 1.6%, and Fusarium sp. at 0.8% as triggering factors for pelvic inflammatory disease infections. The data show that Myrmecodia sp. extract effectively suppresses pelvic inflammatory disease infections caused by Candida albicans, Staphylococcus aureus, and Fusarium sp, with Fusarium sp. being declared to have a stronger sensitivity to Myrmecodia sp. extract.

Abstract

Information systems are very important to support various organizational and individual activities. Therefore, information system security is an important issue in today's digital era, where it is very important to pay attention to the protection of sensitive data and information. This research aims to identify and analyze factors that influence information system security. These factors include information system security, cyber threats and attacks, physical security, and information technology. Each factor is thoroughly analyzed to understand its impact on information system security. The results of this research will help improve our understanding of the factors that influence information system security. These findings can be used as a basis for creating effective security policies in protecting the information assets owned by the organization. By understanding these things, organizations can optimize their security efforts against the ever-evolving security threats in today's digital world.

Abstract

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) is a serious reproductive health issue affecting women of reproductive age, with Candida albicans as a common causative agent. This infection can damage the fallopian tube mucosa, increasing the risks of infertility, ectopic pregnancy, and chronic pelvic pain. With rising antimicrobial resistance, alternative therapies are needed. Myrmecodia sp. (ant plant) is a promising herbal candidate, rich in bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, terpenoids, and saponins, known for their antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. This study investigates the therapeutic effects of Myrmecodia sp. extract on the fallopian tube mucosa of BALB/c mice infected with Candida albicans. Using a true experimental post-test design, 24 mice were infected for four days and treated with varying concentrations of Myrmecodia sp. extract for seven days. Data were analyzed using ANOVA for vaginal color changes and the Kruskal-Wallis test for irritation. The results revealed that Myrmecodia sp. extract significantly reduced inflammation (p < 0.001) and showed a trend toward reduced irritation (p = 0.077). In conclusion, Myrmecodia sp. is a potential herbal therapy for PID caused by Candida albicans, offering a safe and effective option to support tissue regeneration and reduce complications.

Abstract

Penguasaan teknologi informasi menjadi penting karena setiap pihak yang terlibat didalamnya dituntut mampu beradaptasi dengan aktif dan terus meningkatkan kemampuan berkompetensi. Baik dalam dunia kerja maupun dunia Pendidikan Microsoft Office memiliki peranan penting dalam mendukung proses kerja terutama dalam mengelola administrasi sekolah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini didasari oleh program Kampus Mengajar Angkatan 5 yang diadakan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbud Ristek). Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pengenalan, pemahaman, dan pelatihan Microsoft Word secara langsung kepada siswa-siswi SDN 4 Tiparkidul. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan ceramah mengenai materi dasar Microsoft Word dan praktik langsung di kelas yang melalui tiga tahapan yakni, tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Pada analisis hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian menunjukan bahwa siswa kelas 4 yang sebelumnya sama sekali belum memiliki pengetahuan tentang aplikasi Microsoft Word, setelah pelatihan ini mereka menjadi tahu fungsi Microsoft Word dan beberapa tools dasar yang biasa digunakan pada lembar kerja Microsoft Word.

Abstract

Postoperative infections, especially after childbirth, remain a serious medical issue as they can lead to complications, delay recovery, and increase antibiotic resistance due to the excessive use of synthetic drugs. Therefore, safer and more effective treatment alternatives, such as the use of natural substances, are needed. This study aims to examine the antimicrobial potential of a combination of Ageratum conyzoides, Mussaenda frondosa, and Acorus calamus extracts in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans, which are common pathogens in postnatal surgical wound infections. The study employed a true experimental method with an antimicrobial sensitivity test design using the maceration technique. Extraction was conducted using 96% ethanol with three concentration variations: 40%, 80%, and 120%, in a 3:2:1 mixture ratio. Phytochemical screening was carried out to identify secondary metabolite compounds, followed by an inhibition test using the disc diffusion method. The results showed that Acorus calamus extract contains flavonoids, alkaloids, and saponins. Ageratum conyzoides, Mussaenda frondosa, and Acorus calamus all contain saponins with potential antimicrobial activity. The combination of these extracts demonstrated inhibitory effects against the growth of pathogenic microorganisms in surgical wounds, as evidenced by the formation of inhibition zones during testing.

Abstract

This research aims to find out and analyze how the leadership style is applied at the Bentomie Samasta Telaga Kahuripan Restaurant, Bogor Regency, as well as how this leadership style can influence improving the performance of Bentomie Samasta Telaga Kahuripan Restaurant employees, Bogor Regency. According to Miles and Huberman "there are 3 (three) activities in data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions". Based on observations and interviews with five informants representing the Bentomie Samasta Telaga Kahuripan Restaurant, Bogor Regency, the leadership style applied by superiors has a real influence on employee performance, leaders tend to use a participative leadership style. In general, the leadership style applied has been able to improve employee performance, but still needs improvement in aspects of work discipline, communication, coordination and service consistency in order to be more competitive and professional. Based on the results of the research conducted, researchers suggest that leaders emphasize the importance of open and routine communication through short face-to-face briefings before or after working hours to equalize perceptions, provide simple training and routine motivation, so that employees have additional skills and enthusiasm at work
