Abstract

Objective: This research refers to the purpose of student organizations that function as a means for students to develop intellectual abilities and skills, so student interest talent development activities as part of the educational process can be carried out through student organizations. This is important because honing skills through self-habituation and fulfilling the needs of life can form a balance between knowledge and skills as the basis of quality human resources in the development of the time. Method: It was carried out by analyzing the research model of the influence between student leadership training, including Pre-LKKMTD, LKKMTD, and LKKMTM on CLEI (measurement of higher education learning effectiveness inventory) in this measurement method. This procedure was used to test multiple regression research models. Results: It was stated that the participation of students in the leadership training of Pre-LKKMTD, LKKMTD, and LKKMTM students had a partial and simultaneous effect on student learning ability through the measurement of student learning ability effectiveness inventory (CLEI).  Novelty: in this study is to measure the impact of participation in the level of student leadership training on students' learning abilities by using a variety of six learning abilities, including self-efficacy, organization and attention to learning, stress control due to time and environmental pressures, involvement in college activities, emotional satisfaction, and communication in learning adapted from a research questionnaire called inventory higher learning effectiveness (CLEI).

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of socioeconomic status and mental health on the academic achievement of final-year students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Method: A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, collecting data through This The study was conducted using a quantitative approach with questionnaires filled out by final-year students. Socioeconomic status was measured using six indicators (education, employment, income, material possessions, services, and transportation), while mental health was measured using five dimensions (happiness, depression, anxiety, emotional control, and positive behavior). Results: Data analysis using multiple linear regression shows that socioeconomic status and mental health have a significant effect, both partially and simultaneously, on students' academic achievement. These results indicate that stable family financial support and healthy psychological conditions can improve the focus, motivation, and learning productivity of final-year students. Novelty: This study provides novelty by integrating two major variables are socioeconomic status and mental health analyzed simultaneously in relation to the academic achievement of final-year university students, a context rarely explored in Indonesian higher education research. Moreover, it applies Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological Systems Theory to explain the interaction between external (socioeconomic) and internal (psychological) factors affecting academic performance, with empirical evidence drawn from final-year students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, who are experiencing academic pressure and transition to professional life.

Abstract

The Sunan Ampel religious area is one of the places labeled as halal tourism in Indonesia, especially in Surabaya. Halal tourism is a vehicle or entertainment for the community in which there are religious elements from tombs to entertainment venues with an Islamic atmosphere. Of course halal tourism must guarantee the halalness of the entire halal tourism area, from location to consumption products. Halal in Indonesia has been regulated by the government through laws to government regulations and clerical fatwas. Law No. 33 of 2014 is one of the regulations that contains matters relating to halal certification and regulates the obligation of halal certification for macro and micro businesses throughout Indonesia. Street vendors are included in micro businesses that should be mandatory for halal certification, but according to observation data and observations made at street vendors in the Sunan Ampel religious area, there are still many street vendors who do not understand or do not understand halal certification. As evidenced by the ingredients that are still vague because they do not know the clarity of the ingredients used, starting from the unclear slaughter process, naming products that still contain kufr and falsehood, the hygiene of some traders that has not been guaranteed in accordance with the rules of the existing regulations in Law. No. 33 of 2014 and regulations relating to halal certification.

Abstract

In 2025, Indonesia is known as the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, with a percentage reaching 87.20% of its total population, thus driving an increase in demand for halal products, one of which is contemporary beverages that are popular among students. This study shows the need for beverage industry players to increase competitiveness through the application of halal labels with more creative product innovations. Research was also conducted to examine the influence of halal labels and product innovation on the purchasing decisions of Indonesian Iced Tea products among students at Surabaya State University. This study applied a quantitative approach with primary data sources through questionnaires. It involved 100 participants selected through purposive sampling criteria. The data was tested with multiple linear regression using IBM SPSS 25 software. The results of the study indicate that, halal labels have a positive and significant effect on personal purchasing decisions. These purchasing decisions are influenced by product innovation. In conclusion, halal awareness and the appeal of menu innovation are the main factors in student purchases. However, research on the influence of halal labels and product innovation on purchasing decisions for Es Teh Indonesia among students is still limited.
