Abstract

The low results of students' critical thinking skills in mathematics subjects with the CTL approach at MI Uswatun Hasanah Jagapura Kulon on Fraction material. This study aims to determine how to apply the CTL approach in improving students' critical thinking skills in mathematics subjects at MI Uswatun Hasanah Jagapura Kulon and improve students’ critical thinking abilities in the field of mathematics subjects with the CTL approach at MI Uswatun Hasanah Jagapura Kulon. This research is a class action research conducted in 2 cycles, and the research subjects are students of class III-A MI Uswatun Hasanah Jagapura Kulon, which amounted to 21 students. Test results and observations obtained data on critical thinking skills in math lessons with the CTL approach. CTL contextual learning steps include constructivism, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modeling, reflection, and authentic assessment. The results showed a significant increase from pre-cycle to Cycle II, with the percentage of completeness increasing from 19.04% to 85.71%, showing an increase in the criteria for critical thinking skills from "not critical" to "very critical."

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effect of the Learning Cycle 5E learning model on the interest and achievement of science learning of grade IV students at Singajaya Elementary School, Indramayu Regency. The research method used was experimental, with 20 students as participants. The research used an experimental method with steps: determining the problem, preparing instruments, determining samples, collecting, analyzing data, and preparing reports. The research results show that the Learning Cycle 5E learning model positively influences the increasing interest and learning achievement of fourth-grade students at Singajaya Elementary School, Krangkeng, Indramayu Regency. The analysis results with SPSS 26 showed an average N-Gain value of 0.61 for increased interest in learning and 0.47 for increased learning achievement. This research recommends applying the 5E Learning Cycle model to increase student interest and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the discovery learning model on students' independence and learning outcomes in science learning in the fifth grade of elementary school. The background of this research is the importance of learning independence and good learning outcomes in facing the challenges of 21st-century education. The discovery learning model is considered one approach that can improve students independence and learning outcomes. This study used a quantitative method with an empiricism positivism approach. Data were collected through tests and questionnaires given to fifth-grade students of SD NU Kaplongan. Data analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that there was a significant influence between the discovery learning model on students' learning independence. This is evidenced by the significance value (Sig. (2-tailed)) 0.000 < α 0.05. In addition, there is a significant influence between the discovery learning model on student learning outcomes with a Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.021 < α 0.05. Furthermore, learning independence also influences the improvement of student learning outcomes with a significance value of 0.009 < 0.05. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model has a positive influence on students independence and learning outcomes in fifth-grade science learning. This model can be an effective alternative to improve the quality of science learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The Background of this research is based on several common problems found in mathematics learning, such as low learning outcomes, students' difficulties in understanding concepts, and a lack of student interest in collaborating with classmates. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the AIR model on students' collaborative skills and mathematics learning outcomes in elementary schools. This research was conducted at SDN 1 Karangampel Kidul. The research method used was a True Experimental Design with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. This study used 2 sample groups, namely the control class with 32 students and the experimental class with 32 students. The experimental group was a group of students who were given the AIR (Auditory, Intellectually, and Repetition) model treatment, while the control group was a group of students who used the conventional model. The instruments used were test questions and observation sheets which were then carried out on the experimental and control classes. The results of the study based on the results of the Mann Whitney test to determine the effect of the AIR model on collaborative skills showed an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.003 < 0.05, meaning the hypothesis is accepted, so there is a difference in collaborative skills between students in the experimental class and students in the control class. In the Mann Whitney test analysis of learning outcomes, it can be seen that the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.000, so the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value is stated < 0.05. So Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, meaning the hypothesis is accepted, it is concluded that there is a significant difference in mathematics learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the model (Auditory, Intellectually, and Repetition) on the collaborative skills and mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran anak dalam sains menggunakan media pop-up book terhadap hasil belajar dan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik eksperimen dan melalui desain penelitian true eksperimen berbentuk pretest posttest control-group design . Sampel penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas IV UPTD SDN 1 Srengseng tahun ajaran 2023/2024 dengan teknik pemilihan secara acak. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes dan angket. Berdasarkan analisis data uji-t independen pada hasil belajar (3,979) dan sikap peduli lingkungan sebesar (7,266) thitung lebih dari nilai ttabel (1,676) menunjukkan nilai sig sebesar 0,00. Nilai signifikansi kurang dari (0,05) yang menunjukkan adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran anak pada mata pelajaran IPA menggunakan media pop-up book tehadap hasil belajar dan sikap peduli siswa. Hasil analisis perhitungan n-gain hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen rata-rata sebesar 57,80 berkategori sedang dan kelas kontrol rata-rata sebesar 48,11 berkategori sedang. Maka, terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas IV. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Anak Dalam Sains , Media Pop-Up Book , Sikap Peduli Lingkungan, Hasil Belajar, Pembelajaran IPA
