Abstract

This research aims to create a walking bipedal robot with center of pressure feedback simulation for the center of mass learning, describe its feasibility for learning, describe students' motivation to learn, and describe students' science literacy after using it. The research method used ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The research data was obtained using a motivation scale questionnaire, science literacy scale, and feasibility scale. The research sample was 48 people; after the research obtained, the simulation of bipedal robot pressure center feedback for center of mass learning can be implemented with the principle of the robot's center of mass detected on the sole of the robot's foot equipped with a force sensitive resistor (FSR) sensor, the position of the center of mass is visible on the monitor screen as a center of mass learning, so that it can motivate students to learn and improve students' science literacy. This can be seen from the feasibility scale score, motivation scale, and science literacy scale of 4.133, 4.072, and 4.067 (scale 1 to 5), respectively, in the "good" category.

Abstract

Ambiguity is prone to occur in conversation. When communicating, the possibility of misunderstandings occurs due to unclear intentions or the existence of double meanings in the words and sentences used. Misunderstanding when communicating can occur at the phonetic, grammatical and lexical levels. This research method uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained by interviewing and recording conversations of Bengkulu University students. Recorded data was obtained from 36 informants. Then the data is transcribed and then classified. After being classified, the data were analyzed using ambiguity theory. Finally, conclusions are drawn. In this study, the misunderstandings found in student conversations occurred at the grammatical and lexical level. An understanding of semantics, especially ambiguity theory, needs to be mastered by both educators and students in order to overcome and resolve misunderstandings in conversation.

Abstract

This research aims to i) implement the solar cell based power-bank prototype for learning media; ii) describe the feasibility of the solar cell-based power-bank prototype for learning; and iii) describe students' scientific literacy. This research method uses the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) research and development model. The subjects of this research are class IX students and science teachers at SMPN 4 Central Bengkulu. Data collection techniques include questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The data analysis technique uses N-gain analysis, percentages, and the Aiken's V formula. The research results show that the media developed is valid with an Aiken index value of 0.98 > the minimum standard Aiken' V of 0.92 and can increase students' scientific literacy based on an N-gain of 0.92. 0.71, this can be seen in the dimensions of context and content based on N-gain of 0.73 and 0.69, while the dimensions of attitude, curiosity, respect, and willingness, reflect the respective percentages of 79.62%, 78.86%, 78.89%, 75.60%. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the sig value is obtained. (2 tailed) 0.000 < 0.05 which means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means the solar cell-based renewable energy media used in science learning influences the increase in students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

Abstrak Canva menyediakan fitur-fitur atau kegunaannya untuk pendidikan, menjelaskan bahwa Canva ialah alat bantu kreativitas dan kolaborasi untuk semua kelas. Satu-satunya platform desain yang dibutuhkan dalam kelas. Ada beberapa kelebihan aplikasi Canva yakni memudahkan seseorang dalam membuat desain yang diinginkan atau diperlukan, seperti; pembuatan poster, sertifikat, infografis, template video, presentasi, dan lain sebagainya yang disediakan dalam aplikasi Canva. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan sebagian besar guru SMAN 8 kota Bengkulu belum seluruhnya menggunakan apilikasi Canva untuk membuat video pembelajaran di kelas. Literasi digital hadir untuk mengatasi problematika guru dalam pembuatan video pembelajaran di kelas serta siswa diharapkan menjadi mudah memahami materi yang diberikan oleh guru di semua mata pelajaran. Hasil pengabdian ini diharapkan semua guru mengetahui cara membuat video pembelajaran dengan aplikasi Canva. Kata Kunci: Canva, Literasi digital, Guru Abstract Canva provides features or uses for education, explaining that Canva is a creativity and collaboration tool for all classes. The only design platform required in the classroom. There are several advantages of the Canva application, namely that it makes it easier for someone to create the design they want or need, such as; creating posters, certificates, infographics, video templates, presentations, and so on provided in the Canva application. Based on the results of observations made, most of the teachers at SMAN 8 in Bengkulu City have not all used the Canva application to create learning videos in class. Digital literacy is here to overcome teachers' problems in making learning videos in class and students are expected to easily understand the material provided by teachers in all subjects. Abstract

This research aims to: 1) Produce a prototype design for a solar cell-based automatic garden lighting system; 2) Determine the relationship between current, power, and voltage and light intensity; 3) Describe the feasibility of an environmentally friendly technology practicum guidebook; and 4) Describe teacher and student responses to the environmentally friendly technology practice guidebook. This research is R&D type Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) Analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The research sample used 44 class IX students at MTS Rahmatullah. According to students, aspects of teaching materials, aspects of content, and difficulty of teaching materials at school are inadequate at 84.25%, 80% and 82.5%. Student interest in environmentally friendly technology practicum guidebooks was 84.25%. The higher the light intensity, the higher the current, power, and voltage. Expert validation shows; the prototype of an automatic garden lighting system based on solar cells and a practical guidebook on environmentally friendly technology are very suitable for use (89.14% and 90.75%). The use of environmentally friendly technology practicum guidebooks increased students' critical thinking skills in the high category (N-Gain = 0.7937) and received responses from teachers and students in the "almost all" category (91.50% and 89.9%).

Abstract

Penguatan literasi melalui pengajaran membaca pada mata kuliah pembelajaran sastra di perguruan tinggi. Literasi yang kuat sangat penting untuk mendukung kemampuan akademik dan keterampilan kritis mahasiswa, khususnya dalam memahami teks sastra. Pembelajaran sastra di perguruan tinggi tidak hanya berfokus pada pengenalan karya sastra, tetapi juga pada pengembangan kemampuan mahasiswa untuk menganalisis, menginterpretasi, dan mengkritisi teks sastra secara mendalam. Melalui pengajaran membaca yang berbasis pada teks sastra, mahasiswa diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan literasi mereka, baik dalam hal pemahaman bacaan, penalaran kritis, maupun kemampuan untuk menyampaikan pendapat secara sistematis. Penelitian ini mengkaji berbagai strategi pengajaran membaca yang dapat diterapkan dalam mata kuliah pembelajaran sastra, termasuk teknik membaca kritis, diskusi kelompok, dan penerapan teori sastra dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pengajaran yang efektif dapat memperkuat literasi mahasiswa, mendukung pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan mempersiapkan mereka untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam diskursus akademik. Dengan demikian, literasi menjadi salah satu pilar penting dalam pendidikan sastra yang dapat membekali mahasiswa dengan keterampilan yang berguna dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) dalam mata kuliah Teori Sastra pada Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia di Universitas Bengkulu. Pengembangan media MOOC dilakukan dengan mengadopsi model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Dalam tahap analisis, dilakukan identifikasi kebutuhan pembelajaran serta karakteristik mahasiswa yang menjadi target penggunaan media ini. Tahap desain mencakup penyusunan struktur materi pembelajaran, pemilihan platform MOOC, serta pembuatan modul interaktif yang sesuai dengan kurikulum Teori Sastra. Pada tahap pengembangan, dilakukan pembuatan konten berbentuk video pembelajaran, teks, dan kuis interaktif yang dapat diakses secara fleksibel oleh mahasiswa. Tahap implementasi melibatkan uji coba penggunaan media MOOC kepada sejumlah mahasiswa untuk memperoleh umpan balik terkait efektivitas dan kepraktisan dalam mendukung proses belajar mengajar. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk menilai keberhasilan pengembangan media MOOC ini dalam meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap materi Teori Sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media MOOC dalam mata kuliah ini mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan mahasiswa, mempercepat pemahaman, serta memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif dan mandiri. Pengembangan media MOOC ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pembelajaran Teori Sastra di perguruan tinggi, khususnya pada Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas Bengkulu.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of digital books in enhancing the early reading skills of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD IT Auladuna I, specifically within Group B, in 2024. The research employed a quantitative experimental method, utilizing a stratified random sampling technique to select a sample of 28 children from the entire population. Data were collected through documentation and observation, employing reading ability tests that assessed indicators such as reading independence, simple word recognition, comprehension, and pronunciation of vowels and consonants. The data analysis included normality and homogeneity tests, followed by a t-test to evaluate the hypothesis. The results indicated a significant positive effect of digital book usage on reading skill improvement, evidenced by a calculated tcount > ttable, namely 2,760 >1,691. These findings demonstrate that integrating digital books in educational settings can stimulate early reading development among young learners. Educators are encouraged to adopt digital media in their teaching practices to foster children's literacy. Furthermore, this research provides a foundation for future studies to investigate additional effective learning media that support literacy development.

Abstract

This study will describe the form of hyperbole contained in the novel Marmut Merah Jambu by Raditya Dika. The second describes the meaning of hyperbole in the novel Marmut Merah Jambu by Raditya Dika. This research is a type of qualitative research. The source of data in this study is the source of written data found in the novel Marmut Merah Jambu by Raditya Dika. While the data collected included intensive reading of the novel Marmut Merah Jambu by Raditya Dika and then analyzed. The data analyzed are in the form of phrases or sentences containing hyperbole in the novel. Data analysis techniques in this study collected and studied written data from the manuscript of the novel Marmut Merah Jambu by Raditya Dika. The results of this study indicate (1) there are 20 hyperbolein the novel Marmut Merah Jambu (2) The meaning of hyperbole in the novel Marmut Merah Jambu by Raditya Dika is obtained by interpreting sentences containing hyperbole. The meaning of hyperbole style obtained 20 pieces. The meaning of hyperbole in the novel Marmut Merah Jambu by Raditya Dika is as an affirmation in the novel and to beautify the style of language used. As an affirmation, that is for the reader to feel and create imagination based on the hyperbole written by Raditya Dika

Abstract

This activity aims to Increase the Motivation and Science Literacy of SMP IT Khairu Ummah Rejang Lebong Students. This activity is one form of implementing the tridharma of higher education. One of the tri dharmas of higher education is community service, this service activity is an activity that every lecturer must carry out, therefore lecturers in the Master of Science program at Bengkulu University collaborated with IT SMP teacher Khairu Ummah Rejang Lebong Bengkulu on September 28, 2024, to carry out service activities at SMP IT Khairu Ummah Rejang Lebong. This collaboration takes the form of community service activities at SMP IT Khairu Ummah Rejang Lebong Bengkulu with the title "Robotics Workshop to Increase Motivation and Science Literacy of SMP IT Khairu Ummah Rejang Lebong Students". From these activities, it can be concluded that the teaching material delivered at the Robotics Workshop uses interactive multimedia which includes lectures, virtual demos, animations, visualizations, simulations and videos which have proven successful in motivating students in the motivated category with a score of 3.84 and increasing scientific literacy in the high category with a score of 3.93.
