Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of deixis in literary works, especially short stories. The use of deixis is quite important in the process of interaction and communication, including in short stories which are quite dense in writing because they are related to indicating something and leading to certain references or points of reference and are bound by the context of the utterance. The data for this research is in the form of deixis data originating from the short story "It is forbidden to sing in the bathroom" by Senoo Gumira Ajidarma. The research method used is content analysis with stages of data collection, sample determination, data recording, data reduction, drawing conclusions from the data, and deictic analysis contained in the short story. The research results include six sentences for first person deixis, one sentence for third person deixis or more than one. In existence there is one sentence. In the discourse diexis there are three sentences, and in the social diexis there is also one conversational sentence.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the suitability of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum in Indonesia with global education standards. In the context of an increasingly integrated world, the PAI curriculum is expected to be able to reflect universal values, such as tolerance, inclusiveness, and desire, without ignoring local identity and religious values. This research uses a descriptive-analytic approach with a literature study method. The research results show that although the PAI curriculum includes several elements of global education, such as character education and strengthening moral values, there are still challenges in integrating technology, global literacy, and diversity-based education. In addition, resistance to change and limited resources are significant obstacles in implementing a curriculum that is in line with global standards. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a curriculum based on a global-local approach (glocalization), increase the capacity of educators, as well as collaborative support from the government, educational institutions, and the community. With this step, it is hoped that the PAI curriculum will be more responsive to global changes and contribute to forming a generation that is religious, tolerant, and competitive at the international level.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore and describe in depth the role of housewives in supporting their children’s education within this community, including the forms of support they provide, the obstacles they face, and the strategies they employ to overcome those challenges. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected purposively, specifically housewives who are actively involved in their children’s education, both at home and in the surrounding environment. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that housewives make significant contributions to their children’s education, both academically such as assisting with studying, helping with school assignments, and maintaining communication with teachers and non-academically, such as providing emotional support and shaping moral character. Values such as honesty, responsibility, and discipline are instilled through role modeling and intensive communication. Despite facing challenges such as limited time, knowledge, and learning facilities, these mothers actively seek solutions through discussions with teachers, parenting workshops, and peer support groups. In conclusion, housewives play a strategic role in holistically supporting their children’s education. Therefore, it is essential to enhance their capacity and awareness in fulfilling this role to foster a synergistic educational environment between home and school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kedisiplinan melalui pendekatan Punishmen terhadap kemampuan hafalan Juz Amma pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Mizanul Kubro. Kedisiplinan merupakan faktor penting dalam keberhasilan pembelajaran, khususnya dalam konteks hafalan Al-Qur’an yang membutuhkan konsistensi, fokus, dan tanggung jawab tinggi dari peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa dari total populasi 63 siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara kedisiplinan Punishmen dan kemampuan hafalan siswa, dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 7.282 > t tabel 1.321 dan nilai signifikansi 0.002 < 0.05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kedisiplinan melalui metode hukuman ringan yang terukur mampu meningkatkan keseriusan dan tanggung jawab siswa dalam proses menghafal. Penelitian ini juga menggarisbawahi pentingnya implementasi Punishmen secara adil, bijaksana, dan proporsional agar tidak menimbulkan efek negatif terhadap motivasi siswa. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi guru dan lembaga pendidikan dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran hafalan yang efektif, serta memperkuat peran kedisiplinan sebagai landasan keberhasilan akademik dan pembentukan karakter religius siswa.
