Abstract

Psychological disorders of anxiety in athletes become a threat to the achievement of athletes' achievements and careers. Anxiety in athletes is based on assumptions created by the athletes themselves. The irrational mindset of the athlete will threaten the moment before the game starts. In alleviating these conditions, group counseling is used through the Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) approach which will help athletes to think logically for optimal self-realization. This paper uses literature studies and literature studies by exploring various studies according to competition anxiety in athletes and group counseling setting REBT in accordance with the ABCDE concept.

Abstract

Abstract: Multicultural competence is a crucial element in professional counseling practice, especially in the era of globalization which is characterized by increasingly diverse client cultural backgrounds. These competencies include the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that enable counselors to work effectively with different cultural groups. The purpose of this study is to explore the definition, implementation, and challenges of multicultural competencies of professional counselors based on the existing literature. This study uses a literature study method or literature review, by reviewing various articles, journals, and books that are relevant to the topic of multicultural competence in counseling. Multicultural competence is defined as the ability to understand and apply knowledge about different cultures in counseling practice. Key skills that counselors must possess include intercultural communication, managing power dynamics and privileges, and a deep understanding of the client's cultural context. The main challenges in implementing these competencies are overcoming personal biases, lack of in-depth knowledge of a particular culture, effective communication, and limited resources and support. Counselor education and training, through a comprehensive curriculum and ongoing training, plays a crucial role in developing multicultural competencies. Multicultural competence is an essential component in professional counseling that allows counselors to work effectively with clients from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Continuous education, training, and self-reflection are essential in supporting the development of these competencies. By confronting and addressing existing challenges, counselors can provide more inclusive, empathetic, and effective services, meeting the needs of clients in the most meaningful and relevant way.

Abstract

Human beings are the most noble creatures created by God and have a uniqueness that distinguishes between one individual and another. This uniqueness is a distinctive distinguishing feature between each individual, both psychologically and physiologically. The most basic thing for counselors to understand the individual as the orientation of counseling practice is whether or not the needs of the individual are met because the problems that arise in an individual are not met by their basic needs such as physical, technical, social, taste, and the needs of faith and piety. This will encourage individuals to be in disturbed daily effective life behaviors. Thus, a counselor must try to analyze the condition of the individual as a counseling practice, namely whether or not these five basic needs are fulfilled to be able to provide intervention or assistance to clients when providing counseling services so that they are ineffective daily living conditions.

Abstract

Karir yang bagus seharusnya dilandasi dengan kompetensi dan kemampuan yang relevan dengan pekerjaan yang dikerjakan. Namun fenomena yang ditemukan di lapangan sering kali individu mendapatkan kesuksesan dalam berkarir dan ada juga yang mengalami kendala dalam perkembangan karirnya yang berdampak pada kegagalan dalam berkarir. Sehingga perlu dianalis mendalam terkait menurut teori karir tentang keberhasilan dan kegagalan individu dalam perkembangan karirnya, salah satunya teori trait and factor. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah studi literature yaitu serangkaian  kegiatan  dengan  pengumpulan  data  dari berbagai  sumber bacaan seperti catatan, buku, makalah, artikel/jurnal, dan hasil kajian ilmiah lainnya yang relevan dengan teori trait and factor. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu metode analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada dua aspek yang mempengaruhi kegagalan ataupun keberhasilan individu dalam perkembangarn karirnya menurut hasil analisis teori trait and factor, yaitu aspek tempat bekerja atau lingkungan pekerjaan (seperti tuntutan pekerjaan, rekan kerja, kepemimpinan pimpinan tempat kerja) dan aspek pribadi yang bekerja (motivasi kerja, kualitas kompetensi yang dimiliki sesuai dengan bidang yang digeluti, kemampuan manajemen waktu kerja dan perspektif terhadap pekerjaan). Hasil ini tentunya menjadi perhatian khusus bagi praktisi  konseling untuk membekali pemahaman kepada klien agar mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan tuntutan lingkungan pekerjaannya dan mengembangkan karir dengan baik.

Abstract

With the rapid increase in the use of internet technology among the community, teenagers and children are increasingly unable to control themselves in using the internet, especially on social media which increases the impact of the phenomenon of cybercrime (cyberbullying), especially on Instagram social media. Cyberbullying is a form of play and aggressive behavior against someone that is carried out continuously in cyberspace through an internet connection, cyberbullying has a negative impact so that it cannot be directed to the location, cyberbullying can be ridicule, threats, fraud, insults, defamation, stalking or hacking. Thus, it is necessary to study further to analyze the terms of early prevention efforts. This paper has a purpose, namely to see and trigger that cyberbullying behavior on social media, especially among Indonesian students, is increasingly widespread. Although cyberbullying is still ignored in Indonesia, it will have fatal consequences for teenagers in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas Creative Innovative Digital Counselling Cognitive Behaviour Modification (KREIN-MKP) dalam mencegah dan menangani perundungan siber (cyberbullying) pada remaja. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tinjauan pustaka, yang mengkaji berbagai studi sebelumnya terkait penerapan teknik Cognitive Behaviour Modification (CBT), dikombinasikan dengan elemen digital kreatif seperti konseling berbasis platform digital, permainan peran (role-playing), dan visualisasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa KREIN-MKP efektif dalam membantu individu mengelola emosi, mengubah perilaku negatif yang berkaitan dengan perundungan siber, serta meningkatkan keterampilan koping untuk menghadapi situasi sosial yang menantang. Selain itu, model ini mendorong perubahan sosial yang lebih luas dengan melibatkan komunitas dalam membangun budaya digital yang positif dan suportif. Kesimpulan dari studi ini KREIN-MKP memiliki potensi besar sebagai intervensi yang komprehensif dan fleksibel serta dapat diakses oleh khalayak luas. Model ini menawarkan solusi efektif untuk menciptakan lingkungan digital yang lebih aman dan mengurangi dampak negatif dari perundungan siber. Pengembangan lebih lanjut dari KREIN-MKP dapat meningkatkan ketahanan individu dan komunitas dalam menghadapi tantangan sosial di era digital.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Natural disasters not only cause physical damage but also lead to significant psychological disorders in the affected post-disaster victims. This article aims to describe the role of professional counselors in intervening in post-disaster psychology through Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach information services in helping to manage stress to residents of Jorong Nagari Bukik Batabuah, Agam Regency, West Sumatra. The method used is descriptive qualitative, using a case study approach to describe a problem in detail in a factual context. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation during service delivery. The intervention focused on providing information services using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach regarding post-disaster stress, recognition of stress symptoms, and training in breathing relaxation techniques. The results showed that the community gained a better understanding of their psychological condition and was able to implement effective strategies in stress management independently. This finding confirms the importance of the role of counselors in post-disaster psychological recovery through Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach information services as a form of early intervention that is adaptive and relevant to the needs of post-disaster victims. ABSTRAK Bencana alam tidak hanya menyebabkan kerusakan fisik, tetapi juga memunculkan gangguan psikologis yang signifikan pada korban pascabencana yang terdampak. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran konselor profesional dalam program konselor profesional pascabencana melalui layanan informasi dengan pendekatan Problem Based Learning (PBL) sebagai bentuk intervensi psikologis untuk membantu manajemen stres kepada warga Jorong Nagari Bukik Batabuah, Kabupaten Agam, Sumatera Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yang menggambarkan secara detail suatu masalah dalam konteks faktual. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, pemberian layanan informasi pendekatan Problem Based Learning (PBL), dan dokumentasi selama pelaksanaan layanan. Intervensi difokuskan pada pemberian layanan informasi menggunakan pendekatan Problem Based Learning (PBL) mengenai stres pascabencana, pengenalan gejala stres, serta pelatihan teknik relaksasi pernapasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai kondisi psikologis mereka dan mampu menerapkan strategi yang efektif dalam manajemen stres secara mandiri. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya peran konselor dalam pemulihan psikologis pascabencana melalui layanan informasi pendekatan Problem Based Learning (PBL) sebagai bentuk intervensi awal yang adaptif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan korban pasca bencana.

Abstract

This article examines the digitalization of education from a socio-cultural perspective, exploring a new paradigm for transmitting values and knowledge in Indonesia. The digital transformation in education not only facilitates access and dissemination of information but also presents challenges in preserving the continuity of social and cultural values that form the foundation of national identity. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through a literature review, documentation, and semi-structured interviews. Thematic analysis is utilized to identify key issues in adapting digital education to cultural values. The findings reveal that while digitalization offers opportunities for innovation in learning, it also presents significant challenges in integrating technology with local cultural values, including limited access, insufficient teacher training, and suboptimal curriculum policies. Therefore, it is crucial to reform curriculum design and education policies to accommodate digital development without neglecting essential cultural values. This study contributes to the development of an inclusive, adaptive, and character-based education system in the digital era.
