Abstract

As a school leader, the principal must be able to lead, direct and supervise teachers, and carry out school activities that require good communication skills. Good and effective communication will be able to build cooperation between school principals and teachers; school principals can provide guidance to teachers; can direct and develop teacher performance so that teachers can improve their abilities and skills in teaching so that teachers are expected to increase their work productivity. Another factor that can affect teacher work productivity comes from within, namely teacher professionalism. With the existence of professional teachers, it is expected that teacher work productivity will also increase. This study aims to determine the effect of the principal's communication skills on the work productivity of teachers at SD Negeri Tlogobodosari II and SD Negeri Andonosari I; and knowing the influence of teacher professionalism on work productivity at SD Negeri Tlogobodosari II and SD Negeri Andonosari I. This type of research is a quantitative research where a questionnaire is given to all teachers who work at SD Negeri Tlogobodosari II and SD Negeri Andonosari I. The results showed that there was an influence of the principal's communication skills on the work productivity of teachers at SD Negeri Tlogobodosari II and SD Negeri Andonosari I which was carried out by means of criticism and suggestions; holding training/seminars; and motivation as indicated by the communication results of 91.00% and 89.75%, respectively, and the teacher's work productivity of 92.25% and 91.50%, respectively. In addition, there is also an influence of teacher professionalism on teacher work productivity at SD Negeri Tlogobodosari II and SD Negeri Andonosari I because if a teacher is a professional teacher then the teacher will have the ability, education, and skills in teaching so that it will increase teacher work productivity marked with the results of the distribution of teacher professionalism questionnaires of 89.75% and 89.00%, respective.

Abstract

Abad ke 21 menuntut selalu berkembang dalam segala sektor, tanpa kecuali pada bidang Pendidikan. Pendidikan yang baik tidak lepas dari peran pemimpin Pendidikan yang baik pula, sehingga pada era saat ini dibutuhkan pemimpin yang kompeten untuk mengelola Pendidikan. Kajian ini untuk menganalisis kompetensi yang dibutuhkan oleh pemimpin Pendidikan abad 21, serta tantangan yang dihadapi kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunkan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif studi kasus, melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dilakukan pada SLTP di Lamongan, mengkaji kepemimpinan kepala sekolah seperti strategi, kebijakan dan soft skill untuk mengelola teknologi serta tantangan yang dihadapi. Hasil kajian bahwa pemimpin harus meningkatkan kemampuan digital para SDM, tersedianya sarana teknologi, membangun kerja sama dengan orang tua dan Masyarakat, serta kepala sekolah hendaknya Visioner, Team Building and Delegation, Social Intelligence, Problem Solving, Effective and Persuasive Communication, Coaching Skill, Analytical Thinking and Data Driven, Decision Making, Conflict Management, Digital Mindset and Competencies. Tantangan yang muncul seperti keterbatasan dana dan fasilitas teknologi, rendahnya literasi digital orang tua. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya penguatan pelatihan literasi digital bagi seluruh SDM (pemimpin, guru, tendik dan orang tua) serta pentingnya dukungan tambahan dari pemangku kebijakan dalam penyediaan infrastruktur teknologi, demi mendukung terciptanya pendidikan berbasis teknologi yang optimal di era digital.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi industri kain tenun tradisional di Desa Wedani, dengan fokus pada aspek produksi, kualitas produk, teknik pembuatan, dan kontribusi terhadap perekonomian lokal. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tantangan utama yang dihadapi pelaku industri, seperti keterbatasan akses pasar, rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap produk lokal, dan kurangnya inovasi dalam strategi pemasaran. Selain itu, pengabdian ini mengevaluasi strategi pemasaran tradisional yang diterapkan oleh pengrajin, menyoroti efektivitas dan kelemahan dalam menjangkau konsumen potensial. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi potensi pemasaran digital sebagai solusi untuk mengatasi tantangan yang ada. Penggunaan berbagai platform digital, termasuk media sosial dan e-commerce, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan jangkauan pasar dan penjualan produk kain tenun. Penelitian ini juga menganalisis dampak implementasi strategi pemasaran digital terhadap penjualan dan kesejahteraan pengrajin kain tenun, dengan penekanan pada perubahan volume penjualan, jangkauan pasar, dan peningkatan pendapatan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pemasaran digital tidak hanya mampu meningkatkan penjualan dan pendapatan pengrajin, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap produk lokal. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyarankan pentingnya integrasi strategi pemasaran digital dalam pengembangan industri kain tenun untuk memastikan keberlanjutan dan pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal di Desa Wedani.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi upaya yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah di SDN Gesikan 1 dan SDN Grabagan 1 dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui kepemimpinan karismatik. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, yang mengandalkan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui motivasi inspirasional, pertimbangan individual, dan stimulasi intelektual. Motivasi inspirasional dilakukan dengan memberikan bimbingan visioner dan saling berbagi ilmu di antara guru, sementara fasilitas seperti pelatihan profesional dan pengawasan rutin juga disediakan. Selain itu, pengawasan dan evaluasi yang dilakukan secara berkala membantu memastikan bahwa tugas-tugas pengajaran berjalan sesuai dengan prosedur yang telah ditetapkan. Meskipun demikian, upaya peningkatan kinerja melalui pendidikan formal masih kurang, yang perlu diperhatikan lebih lanjut oleh pimpinan. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dengan strategi yang tepat, pimpinan di SDN Gesikan 1 dan SDN Grabagan 1 mampu mendorong peningkatan kinerja guru melalui pendekatan kepemimpinan karismatik yang komprehensif.

Abstract

The leadership of school principals is a strategic factor in improving the quality of education at elementary schools. Various studies have shown that transformational leadership has a positive influence on teacher performance and the quality of learning. However, most studies still focus on leadership styles and have not examined transformational leadership as a structured managerial process. This study aims to analyze the management of transformational leadership by school principals in efforts to improve the quality of education at elementary schools through a multi-site study approach. The research employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design at two elementary schools, namely SD Negeri Kiduldalem 1 Bangil and SD Swasta Nahdlatul Ulama Bangil, Pasuruan Regency. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results show that the school principals apply transformational leadership through quality program planning, human resource organization, supportive academic supervision, and continuous evaluation. Differences in the context of public and private schools affect managerial flexibility; however, both schools demonstrate the significant contribution of transformational leadership to improving the quality of education. This study concludes that systematic and contextual management of transformational leadership can be the main driver of improving elementary school education quality.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to explore how the principal’s managerial leadership contributes to improving teacher performance at SDN Dermo II Bangil. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research investigates the everyday practices, interactions, and decision-making patterns demonstrated by the school principal in leading learning and managing teachers. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with three teachers, participatory observation of school activities, and documentation analysis of supervisory reports and school records. The thematic analysis revealed three core themes: (1) inclusive and communicative leadership that fosters trust and collaborative decision-making; (2) adaptive academic supervision characterized by dialogic feedback, emotional support, and constructive guidance; and (3) strengthened teacher motivation, discipline, and instructional innovation as a direct impact of the principal’s exemplary behavior and professional support. These findings highlight the pivotal role of relational and adaptive leadership in shaping teacher professionalism within the social and cultural context of elementary schools. The study contributes to leadership theory by emphasizing the emotional and interpersonal dimensions of transformational leadership in basic education. Practically, the results suggest the need for structured principal training focused on communication and collaborative supervision.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the management of extracurricular activities in shaping students’ disciplinary character at SDN Beji II Beji, Pasuruan Regency. The issue of discipline among elementary school students has become a crucial concern as it directly relates to learning success and the early development of moral character. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis involving three teachers who are actively involved in managing extracurricular activities. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The findings reveal four major themes: (1) extracurricular activity management at SDN Beji II is implemented collaboratively among the principal, teachers, and activity supervisors; (2) disciplinary values are internalized through practical experiences such as punctuality, responsibility, and adherence to activity rules; (3) limited facilities and parental support remain the main challenges in sustaining the program; and (4) institutional support and teacher communication serve as key success factors. The practical implications emphasize the importance of well-planned, participatory, and sustainable management of extracurricular activities to enhance students’ discipline culture in the school environment.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to explore teachers’ interpretations of disciplinary culture as a factor shaping performance at SDN Dermo I Bangil. The phenomenon of teacher discipline in elementary education is often viewed from an administrative perspective, yet it carries deeper meanings related to moral values and professional identity. This research employed a qualitative phenomenological approach, focusing on the lived experiences of teachers in internalizing and practicing discipline within their professional environment. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, involving three key informants—grade 2, 4, and 5 teachers—selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, revealing four main themes: (1) discipline as a moral and professional value, (2) disciplinary culture as the school’s collective identity, (3) discipline as a driver of teacher performance and student order, and (4) challenges in balancing administrative demands with intrinsic motivation. Discipline was perceived not merely as compliance with rules but as a form of moral responsibility and an expression of dedication to the teaching profession. The findings indicate that a morally grounded disciplinary culture plays a central role in sustaining teacher performance and school effectiveness. Theoretically, this study extends the understanding of meaning-making within educational organizational culture.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze an integrated curriculum management model based on religious values implemented in madrasah, particularly at MI Murni Sunan Drajat and MI Sabilillah Lamongan. A qualitative approach with a multisite study design was employed. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis involving principals, teachers, students, and parents. Data analysis followed the interactive model proposed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the management of an integrated curriculum grounded in religious values is implemented systematically through the stages of curriculum planning, organizing, implementation, supervision, and evaluation. The integration of religious values is embedded in curriculum objectives, learning materials, instructional processes, assessment practices, and madrasah culture. This approach has a positive impact on students’ religious character formation, discipline, responsibility, as well as improvements in both academic and non-academic achievement. The novelty of this study lies in the formulation of an integrated curriculum management model that positions religious values not merely as an additional learning component, but as both a philosophical foundation and an operational framework across all stages of curriculum management at the primary-level madrasah.
