Abstract

This study aims to develop a curriculum design for Christian Religious Education (PAK) for young adults based on digital technology to increase their involvement in faith learning. Using a literature study method, this study examines relevant academic literature in designing a flexible and effective curriculum. The results of the study indicate that the application of technology in the PAK curriculum allows for more interactive learning, increases accessibility, and strengthens congregational involvement. The implementation of this design is expected to support the church in building a generation that has a strong theological understanding and is relevant to the development of the times.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) bagi dewasa muda berbasis teknologi digital guna meningkatkan keterlibatan mereka dalam pembelajaran iman. Dengan menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini mengkaji literatur akademik yang relevan dalam mendesain kurikulum yang fleksibel dan efektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknologi dalam kurikulum PAK memungkinkan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, meningkatkan aksesibilitas, dan memperkuat keterlibatan jemaat. Implementasi desain ini diharapkan dapat mendukung gereja dalam membangun generasi yang memiliki pemahaman teologis yang kuat serta relevan dengan perkembangan zaman.

Abstract

Children's spiritual education is the main foundation in shaping their character and spirituality, with parents as the first educators in the family. However, in the modern era, parental involvement in children's spiritual education is in crisis due to various factors, such as busyness, economy, technology, the influence of secular culture, and a lack of understanding of the importance of spiritual education in the family. This study aims to identify the factors that lead to low parental involvement in children's spiritual education and explore solutions that can be implemented by churches and families. This research was conducted at Kemah Abraham Church Jakarta using a qualitative approach through observation, interview and documentation methods. The data collected was analyzed qualitatively to understand the challenges and strategies to increase parental involvement in children's spiritual education. The results show that several models of approaches that are relevant in the digital era, such as: Modeling, Family Worship, Digital Ministry, and Participatory models, as well as church strategies through faith-based parenting programs, online accessible materials and parental involvement can encourage Christian families to respond to the challenges of the times and maintain the role of the family as the center of children's spiritual education. It provides practical guidance for Christian families in implementing relevant, effective, and contextualized spiritual education in the modern era.

Abstract

This study explores the application of Max Weber's seminal work, Protestant Ethics and the Spirit of Capitalism, as a basis for Christian religious education to effectively address the issue of poverty in modern society. By examining the historical context and underlying principles, the author suggests how Christian religious education can use Weber's ideas to promote critical understanding of economic issues and empower people to participate in overcoming poverty. The method used is a literature study approach, where the author collects data from books and relevant topics or issues in this research. The results of this study seek to bridge Weber's sociological insights with the teachings of Christian religious education, by looking at how the principles of hard work, discipline, and individual responsibility can be instilled through the lens of Christian religious education to empower communities in the fight against poverty. By instilling values that promote economic empowerment, community development, and social responsibility, Christian religious education emerges as a powerful tool to address the challenges of poverty in contemporary society.

Abstract

Upaya revitalisasi semangat patriotisme di kalangan pemuda sangat penting, karena pemuda berperan besar dalam kesejahteraan bangsa. Namun, perkembangan teknologi membawa dampak negatif, seperti kekerasan, ujaran kebencian, terorisme, bullying, penyalahgunaan teknologi, dan individualisme. Hal ini menjadi ancaman bagi semangat patriotisme. Gereja berperan dalam upaya ini melalui Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK), dengan menawarkan desain kurikulum yang relevan. Penelitian ini menawarkan kurikulum PAK Pemuda dengan pendekatan Backward Design Model, yang mencakup tahapan dengan menentukan tujuan, perencanaan penilaian, dan kegiatan pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Riset ini memberikan panduan bagaimana Backward Design Model dapat diterapkan dalam kurikulum PAK yang efektif, mendukung gereja dalam pembinaan iman dan karakter pemuda, serta menghidupkan kembali semangat patriotisme.
