Abstract

This research aims to explore and analyze the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in improving students' religious culture at PGRI Patrol Middle School, Indramayu Regency. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that the process of implementing student religious culture at PGRI Patrol Middle School involves the role and synergy of various parties, such as the school principal, PAI teachers, and all components of the school community. The strategies used by PAI teachers include making rules in the form of policies, getting used to carrying out religious activities, as well as efforts to renew students' mindsets. Obstacles include motivation and commitment from students and teachers, as well as limited facilities and infrastructure. To overcome these obstacles, schools implement policies in the form of punishments and rewards. The implications of this strategy are realized in the creation of attitudes and behavior that reflect Islamic values ??in students, the creation of a comfortable and religious school atmosphere and environment, as well as increased awareness of all school members. The findings of this research strengthen theories and previous research results that are relevant regarding the development of religious culture in schools.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the learning strategies used by teachers in guiding the practice of Islamic teachings among students at SDN 2 Galagamba. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that teachers use a variety of learning strategies, methods, and techniques, such as card match, reading aloud, card sorting, inquiry, group discussion, simulation, demonstration, and "everyone is a teacher here." These strategies facilitate students' active involvement in the learning process so that they can understand Islamic Religious Education subject matter in depth and practice the values ??of religious teachings in everyday life. Students are able to understand the subject matter well, answer questions, do assignments, read the Koran with correct recitation, believe in the pillars of faith, show commendable behavior, avoid disgraceful actions, understand Islamic law regarding food sources, and understand the history of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and history of Islamic da'wah. The findings of this research are in line with the principles of effective learning, constructivist learning theory, and previous research. However, there is still room for improvement and refinement of learning practices in the future, such as the development of more innovative and contextual strategies, increasing teacher skills, more active student involvement, integration of holistic learning approaches, and continuous evaluation and reflection. The success of Islamic religious education also requires support from various parties, such as the government, schools, parents, and society.

Abstract

Character education has a vital role in forming a young generation with noble character. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a decline in students' character due to the cessation of face-to-face learning. This research aims to analyze the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in developing student character at MTs Negeri 2 Cianjur. Specifically, this research identifies the methods, approaches, and activities implemented by PAI teachers to instill character values ??and evaluate their effectiveness in facing the challenges of the times. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participant observation, documentation, and triangulation. Primary data sources were obtained from interviews with madrasah principals, PAI teachers, and students, while secondary data came from related documents. The research results showed that PAI teachers implemented various strategies in developing student character, such as integrating religious values ??into learning and getting used to worship. , and extracurricular activities. However, there are challenges in dealing with the negative influence of digital media, which can erode noble values. This research contributes to developing a character education model that is effective and in line with the demands of the times.

Abstract

This article aims to describe and analyze the implementation of multiculturalism-based Islamic religious education for the development of students' social attitudes in the school environment. This research uses a qualitative type with a case study method approach. The use of three data collection techniques, namely, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in four stages according to Huberman and Miles, namely, data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. As well as the validity of the data used triangulation. The findings of this article show: First, multicultural-based Islamic Religious Education is well implemented in accordance with the Free Learning Curriculum which contains Pancasila Student Profiles in it according to the vision and mission of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The teacher uses 3 learning components according to Degeng, taking into account the conditions, methods, and learning outcomes then internalizing by planning, implementing, and evaluating learning. Second, through instilling and understanding Islamic values in learning activities inside the classroom and outside the classroom, multicultural-based Islamic Religious Education in the development of social attitudes has shown a positive outlook, such as by responding and responding through activeness, harmony, and togetherness.

Abstract

This study examines the internalization of character values in the activities of the Women’s Organization “WIsSNU” at the International Standard Madrasah (MBI) Amanatul Ummah. The research focuses on: (1) identifying the programs and events organized by WIsSNU, and (2) analyzing how character values are internalized through these activities. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that WIsSNU implements two categories of organizational programs: major events and minor events. Major events include PAKARSAMBI, Ponpesnu, and the MBF (MBI Big Fair). Minor events consist of Islamic Holiday Celebrations (HBI), such as the Prophet’s Birthday, Isra’ Mi’raj, and Nuzulul Qur’an (Ramadhan), as well as National Commemoration Days (HKN), such as the National Awakening Day. These activities serve not only as organizational traditions but also as media for character education. Character values identified by the Ministry of National Education are mostly reflected in these programs. Out of 18 values, 16 were found to be well-internalized, including religiosity, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creativity, democracy, curiosity, national spirit, love of the motherland, appreciation of achievement, communication skills, peace, social care, responsibility, and environmental awareness. Two values—independence and interest in reading—were not yet fully integrated. In conclusion, WIsSNU organizational programs significantly contribute to character education by embedding most of the core values through both major and minor events.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role and authority of the wali hakim (judge guardian) at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in resolving issues concerning wali nasab (lineage guardian) of different religions in marriage, with a case study at KUA Ciracas, East Jakarta. The research focuses on understanding the mechanism of transferring wali nasab to wali hakim based on Article 23 of the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) and the Islamic jurisprudence perspective on this phenomenon. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document study. The results show that the transfer of wali nasab to wali hakim occurs when the wali nasab is unable to fulfill their duties, especially in cases of religious differences between the wali nasab and the prospective bride or groom. Factors causing this transfer include the absence of the wali nasab, rejection by the wali nasab due to religious differences, and complex socio-cultural conditions. From a fiqh perspective, the transfer is permitted to ensure the validity of the marriage and protect the rights of the prospective bride or groom. However, the legal status of this transfer becomes controversial when a wali ab'ad (distant guardian) still exists, requiring deep interpretation based on fiqh principles and Article 23 of the KHI.
