Abstract

Gingivitis is a periodontal disease that is often found in the oral cavity. According to Health Research in 2018, the prevalence of gingivitis in Indonesia is ranked second which shows a figure of 96.58%.  The causes of gingivitis are grouped into local factors and systemic factors. Local factors include caries, failed restorations, and piles of food waste, while systemic factors include nutritional, hormonal, and hematology. An abnormal hematological condition that can cause gingivitis is increased polymorphonuclear leukocyte levels in the blood circulation. Polymorphonuclear leukocyte levels can be affected by a person's sleep quality, poor sleep quality can trigger an increase in leukocyte levels. Poor sleep quality is vulnerable to being experienced by shift workers, including the security unit (security guard). This study aims to determine the correlation between polymorphonuclear leukocyte levels and gingivitis in the Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) security unit. This study uses an observational type of analysis with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling in the form of purposive sampling. The sample used was 30 UMS security guards. The data were analyzed using the Chi-Square non-parametric statistical test. The data of this study was obtained from the results of an examination of polymorphonuclear leukocyte levels and gingivitis examination in the form of a gingival index of respondents conducted at RSGM Soelastri Surakarta. The instruments used are diagnostic sets and hematology analyzers. The results of this analysis test obtained a significant value with a value of p=0.035. Conclusion of this study There is a relationship between

Abstract

This study aims to find out the agricultural land lease system for farmers in Ketaon Village, Banyudono District, Boyolali Regency, and to determine the feasibility of rice farming in the land lease system in Ketaon Village, Banyudono District, Boyolali Regency. The location of the research was carried out in Ketaon Village, Banyudono District, Boyolali Regency. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling. This research was carried out within 5 planting seasons because in 2 years it consisted of 6 planting seasons; 1 planting season could not be done because there was an improvement in irrigation. The analysis method used is quantitative descriptive. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and investment analysis. The result of this study is that the agricultural land rental system carried out by the average farmer in Ketaon Village, Banyudono District, Boyolali Regency, is with the adol oyodan land rental system. This rental system is a land rental system where tenants give money in advance directly to the owner of agricultural land (rice fields). This land lease system is worth continuing to strive for this because based on the calculations that have been carried out, it shows from several calculations both through the calculation of NPV (Net Present Value) 20.814.535, IRR (Internal Rate of Return) 100%+, Net Benefit Cost Ratio 3,4779, Gross Benefit Cost Ratio (Gross B/C)2,2033 shows a positive value and meets the eligibility requirements for the farming business carried out.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Periodontal tissue, comprising gingiva, periodontal ligament, cementum, and alveolar bone, supports and surrounds teeth. Periodontitis, an inflammation affecting these tissues, manifests through gingival inflammation, pocket formation, and loss of attachment and bone.Purpose: This research aims to investigate whether ozonated olive oil influences neutrophil cell levels in the gingiva of male Wistar rats with periodontitis.Method: Employing a posttest-only control group design, this laboratory study included 24 male Wistar rats with concentrated periodontitis divided into six groups based on the day of observation. Histological analysis was conducted on days 1, 3, and 5, with three control groups and treatment groups.Result: The hypothesis test revealed a significant difference in neutrophil cell count between the ozonated olive oil treatment group and the control group (p < 0.05). The treatment group exhibited superior outcomes compared to control and other treatment groups, as confirmed by the LSD Post Hoc Test (p < 0.05).Conclusion: Administration of ozonated olive oil can influence neutrophil cell involvement in periodontitis healing among male Wistar rats, suggesting its potential therapeutic efficacy
