Abstract

Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning Regulation no. 14 of 2022 stipulates Public Green Open Space (RTH) as a place for plants in open spaces that can create a healthy city and improve community welfare. City parks, as one of the public open spaces, have an important role in reducing stress levels in urban communities. The city of Balikpapan will experience population growth of up to 6 thousand people in 2022, with a very high population density. This density can trigger stress. Healing gardens, or healing gardens, have the function of reducing stress levels, as proven in research by Setyani and Theresia. Balikpapan City's Three Generations Park, with an area of 1.5 hectares, is the focus of research as the largest active city park. Identifying the characteristics of the healing garden in this park is considered important to assess its effectiveness in reducing people's stress levels. The data collection method was carried out using a primary survey and the analysis used was explanatory qualitative descriptive. The findings are that there are 10 (ten) characteristics of a healing garden, namely soft/hard elements, accessibility, good views and bad views, lighting from sunlight and garden lights, smell, hearing, touch through therapeutic rocks and mattresses, security through fences and CCTV, peace and comfort.

Abstract

The Department of Population, Women Empowerment, and Child Protection of Balikpapan City found a lack of safe and comfortable play areas. However, in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child that supports the status of Child-Friendly City, the right to play includes having green open spaces and playgrounds for children, including those with disabilities. Balikpapan City has several active green open spaces, such as the Three Generations Park, Traffic Park, and Smart Park, which provide public facilities for interactive activities, learning, and playing for children. This research aims to formulate guidelines for developing supportive elements of child-friendly play spaces in the public green open spaces of South Balikpapan District. This is done with specific standards to support the achievement of Child-Friendly City, particularly through the development of Child-Friendly Play Spaces (CFPS) as an important sub-indicator in achieving this status. The research uses a mean score method by distributing questionnaires to the community. The findings revealed that in these three parks, 8 variables were found to have poor conditions.

Abstract

Labobo Beach is one of the tourist attractions that need to be developed because facilities in this tourist area are still inadequate; several facilities still need to be made available and are not managed well, especially in terms of basic facilities, complementary facilities and tourism supporting facilities, this is in line with the decline in the number of tourist visits to Labobo beach. The aim of the research can be formulated, namely, to prepare a strategy for developing tourism facilities that will be implemented to increase the number of tourist visits to Labobo Beach. The data collection method in this research was field observation to obtain data related to conditions of facilities, visitors and tourist locations, distributing questionnaires to visitors to find out the results of evaluations of facility conditions and to determine priority facilities to be developed, conducting interviews to obtain visitor data, availability of existing tourist facilities and conditions, and conducting literature surveys to produce variable indicators that used in research. Data is used in this research, namely evaluating the condition of facilities and analyzing priority facilities that must be developed. The results of assessing and analyzing these facilities are formulated into a SWOT strategy based on internal and external factors to obtain 21 facility development strategies Keywords : facilities, visitor strategy and development

Abstract

Abstract

Based on the letter issued by the Regent of Berau regarding the determination of the location of housing and slums Number 30 of 2020 stipulates slum locations in 3 (three) areas, settlements located in the Kuyang river area are included in the largest slum with a slum area of 13.89 Ha. Based on the slum decree, there are seven RTs whose buildings are located on the banks and above the river, namely RT 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 19, and 22, which must be addressed because based on the existing conditions there are still inadequate aspects of the settlement. To achieve safe, orderly, and healthy settlements, environmentally sound settlements are needed with the Healthy settlements concept approach which is expected to determine the direction of improving the quality of settlements in the Kuyang River Area. The data collection method was carried out by primary survey, the analysis used was descriptive qualitative and triangulation techniques. The findings of the research are 3 (three) aspects of Healthy Settlements, namely ecological, social, and economic aspects. Keywords : healthy settlements, criteria, settlement environment

Abstract

The relocation of the State Capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan Province has the potential to increase the intensity of development in Samarinda City as a buffer city for the IKN as well as the city with the largest population. High urbanization leads to population growth and increased land demand which has an impact on land use change. However, the city of Samarinda currently does not meet the minimum standard of 30% of the green open space area. This is in line with the increase in temperature that occurs with a high risk of extreme weather disasters. High temperatures can affect the Temperature Humadity Index (THI), especially when the THI exceeds 26°C, which is the comfort limit. Therefore, analysis is needed to identify THI and land cover using image interpretation analysis techniques and multiple linear regression statistical analysis. THI for the last 10 years (2014 - 2023), the lowest value in 2014 and the highest in 2020. The t-test showed that the variable of built land with a value of 0.00 and vegetation with a value of 0.03 had an effect on THI. Keywords : Temperature Humadity Index, Land Cover, Green Open Space

Abstract

Indonesia, as a country with a wide population diversity, faces the challenge of significant population growth. Rapid population growth requires increased social facilities to support the population's quality of life. According to Bapelibang PPU, the pattern of distribution of social facilities in this district is still not able to serve the entire community so there are still people who have difficulty getting these social facility services. Therefore, it is feared that this pattern of uneven distribution of social facilities will become a serious problem in the future. To overcome this, research is needed regarding the analysis of the distribution patterns of social facilities in order to provide consideration for future regional development so that it can maximize the function of services to the community. The aim of this research is to determine the distribution pattern of social facilities in North Penajam Paser Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative with the nearest neighbor analysis method. The results of this analysis were obtained in this district. The distribution patterns that were formed tended to form clustered and random patterns.
