Abstract

The development of the Church as an organism demands active participation and cooperation between clergy and laity. The purpose of this article is to introduce Basic Ecclesiastical Community (KBG) as a model of church life which is a place for the involvement of the laity in collaboration with the clergy. This article was written using qualitative research methods with a focus on literature studies in the form of books and scientific journal articles according to the themes reviewed. The results of the literature study in this article confirm several important things. First, the model of church life through KBG empowerment can minimize the tendency of clerical feudalism. Pastoral officers (clergy) must act as facilitators, not rulers who authoritatively regulate church life. Second, KBG makes the implementation of participatory and contextual pastoral works effective. Participatory pastoral work means involving as many people as possible in planning, implementing, and evaluating pastoral activities, while contextual pastoral work means pastoral work that departs from a particular context and must respond to the context. Third, the spirit of a shepherd's life smelling of sheep plays an important role for the realization of participatory and contextual pastoral work.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to explain the pastoral counseling strategy made by Jesus for women who were caught committing adultery and also for the Pharisees. The main idea of this article is Jesus’ partiality towards women as a week group in the face of the domination of the patriarchal culture of Jewish society which was instrumentalized by scribes and Pharisees. Taking sides with the weak is a form of Jesus’ pastoral counseling strategy according to the Gospel of John 8:1-11. The method used in this article is descriptive analysis using a literature and Bible text approach, namely the Gospel of John 8:1-11 to obtain a comprehensive explanation of the pastoral counseling strategy practiced by Jesus as a counselor. The theory used in this work is Biblical pastoral counseling, namely a type of pastoral counseling that uses the Word of God as the main reference in dealing with problems faced by counselees. Through an analysis of the Gospel of John 8:1-11, it appears that Jesus did pastoral counseling by paying attention to the context experienced and lived by the counselee. A good introduction to the context of the counselee makes Jesus able to deal with the problems experienced by the counselee.

Abstract

Experiences of oppression, marginalization, and subordination have become a number of particular contexts that gave birth to critical reflections in a number of theologies such as liberation theology and feminist theology. The liberation theology project that was systematically promoted in Latin America in the mid-20th century began with the spread of colonialism, the political-economic hegemony of both national and transnational businessmen, and the massive use of a militaristic approach to various criticisms and resistance of oppressed people. Likewise, Asian feminist theology originates from criticism and resistance to patriarchal domination in the structure of religious, political, economic, cultural, and social life. Of course, these two theologies operate in the same context, namely the experience of oppression and marginalization of a group of people. This article was written using qualitative research methods with a focus on literature studies in the form of books and scientific journal articles according to the themes reviewed. The result of this study shows that liberation theology has contributed to feminist theology and the feminist movement in Asia. By being inspired by the approaches, methods and social analysis developed by liberation theology, the feminist movement in Asia dared to launch a progressive critique of the patriarchal and feudalistic face of the Church. Not only criticizing, feminism in Asia has reached a common movement, namely the establishment of a communion to oppose oppressive structures in shared life.

Abstract

The Ruteng Diocese Church expressed social concern for the pace of tourism development in Labuan Bajo by declaring 2022 as the year of holistic tourism. Holistic pastoral tourism seeks to integrate the economic, cultural, ecological, ethical, and spiritual dimensions of tourism. The scientific article aims to explore how coinonia can be used as a model in developing holistic pastoral tourism in the Diocese of Ruteng. The research used a method, is a qualitative analysis method with a literature study approach which includes analysis of documents, articles and books related to the theme being reviewed. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the coinonia aspect has a very important role in efforts to develop holistic pastoral tourism. The application of the coinonia model can increase collaboration between pastoral sectors such as families, schools, the younger generation, children and teenagers, as well as adherents of other religions. This collaboration can support sustainable tourism development. The author offers the coinonia model of the Ruteng Diocese Church which has sacramental values, solidarity, subsidiarity and liberation in every pastoral program as an effort to develop holistic tourism pastoralism.

Abstract

The Catholic Church pays full attention to efforts to eradicate human trafficking that affects children Catholic Church pays full attention to efforts to eradicate human trafficking that affects children and women. The Church realizes that human trafficking is a humanitarian issue that must be handled seriously. Humans, including children and women, are the image of God and have the same dignity as all people. This concern is a form of Church diakonia, namely serving and protecting the small and weak. One of the Church's efforts is realized through a child-friendly parish program. A child-friendly parish is a pastoral program that prioritizes children to grow integrally as members of the Church. The approach used to obtain information about child-friendly parish programs is qualitative, using interview and observation methods. From this research it is concluded that the child-friendly parish program as a form of Church diakonia has not been fully understood and realized in parish life. So at the end of this article the author states several responsibilities of the Church as a form of Church diakonia in relation to human trafficking cases and offers several practical efforts that can be made by the Church to improve the quality of Church services to children through child-friendly parish programs.

Abstract

This article focuses attention on the educational praxis of prospective priests in Flores within the inter gentes mission paradigm. The education of prospective priests in the Catholic Church in Flores is still a closed education, namely an educational process that separates people from society for a form of life that is separate from society. Educational praxis like this can be fruitful output who considers himself a 'master' with all-round qualities for all pastoral matters. On this basis, it is very important to create a inter gentes mission paradigm as a theological basis for the practical education of prospective priests in Flores. Gentes in understanding inter gentes understood as nations, cultures, and groups of people with distinctive views and lifestyles. Mission inter gentes considered suitable to answer the needs of Flores which is marked by cultural diversity and a society that still faces the problem of poverty. The education of priest candidates in Flores is carried out in the inter gentes mission paradigm requires the educational practice of prospective priests to be more open to the complexity of the reality of life which is marked by the plurality of religions, cultures and perspectives in society. Apart from that, the commitment to defending the environment and involving women in the formation of prospective priests is also a concern of the mission inter gentes.Keywords: Education; Candidate for Priest; Church; Inter Gentes Mission

Abstract

Games online usually be used by brothers as an entertainment media. But, excessive use of games online Will have impact on decreasing of social relation which was built by the brothers. This research want to analyze the impact of game online to social relation for the brothers in Major Seminary Interdiocese of Saint Peter Ritapiret. This research also used qualitative method. Data collection techniques used by this research is interviews with key informants. This research, found that excessive use of games online can make negative impact on relation who be built by the brothers. Among them are, alienation in togetherness, the death of empathy, and false act of participation. Besides that, implicitly, game online also have impact to the increase of phubbing phenomenon. To this problems, pastoral counseling was an effective solution offered as a basis for reflection and action to make the brothers aware of the dangers of games online. Pastoral counseling have functions in healing efforts, sustaining, guiding, and reconciling to the brothers influenced by games online.

Abstract

Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk menjelaskan hubungan antara Gereja dan kaum migran dari sudut pandang teologi migrasi. Faktanya, setiap aspek kehidupan manusia dipengaruhi oleh migrasi, yang dapat dianggap sebagai salah satu masalah paling kompleks di dunia. Artikel ini ditulis dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan berfokus pada cara studi kepustakaan dilakukan. Metode ini memungkinkan pengumpulan dan analisis informasi dari berbagai sumber, termasuk buku, artikel, dokumen, surat kabar, kebijakan, dan temuan penelitian atau penelitian sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa migrasi bukan hanya sebuah fakta sosial yang memiliki implikasi dalam kehidupan yang kompleks, tetapi juga cara berpikir tentang Tuhan dan apa artinya menjadi manusia yang hidup tanpa sekat sosial. Dengan demikian, kita dapat memahami dan menanggapi pengalaman hidup kaum migran dengan lebih baik. Sumber refleksi teologis tentang migrasi adalah sejarah hidup dan pengalaman penderitaan kaum migran. Salah satu landasan teologis untuk membangun sinodalitas Gereja bersama kaum migran adalah teologi migrasi. Bentuk sinodalitas ini mencakup Gereja yang terbuka untuk mendengarkan dan belajar dari pengalaman hidup kaum migran, mengembangkan kerja kolaboratif dengan pihak-pihak terkait untuk memperjuangkan martabat luhur kaum migran, dan melakukan diakonia pastoral melalui animasi, mediasi, dan advokasi.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the feminist perspective on holistic ecology which originates from the wisdom of local communities. The wisdom of local communities provides inspiration for feminists to position nature as a friend that must be respected and preserved. This article was written using qualitative methods with a literature study approach. With this method, researchers collect and analyze data obtained from various sources such as articles, books, documents, newspapers, policies, and various results of previous research or studies. The results of this research show that a feminist perspective that connects women's suffering with the suffering of the earth can contribute to the movement to fight for gender justice and ecological justice. Apart from that, feminist ideas about ecology reconstruct the relational dimension in the created order which places humans and nature in a reciprocal relationship, namely that humans need nature as a resource that supports daily life and nature needs humans as wise managers. The reconstruction of the relational dimension in the created order is a form of counter idea to the tendency of modern society which only prioritizes the dimension of rationality in relations with the environment.

Abstract

Artikel ini memberikan pendasaran teologis dengan berinspirasikan pada gagasan tentang prinsip-prinsip Ajaran Sosial Gereja (ASG) untuk praksis kepemimpinan pastoral Kristiani. Penulis akan mengangkat sejumlah pesan penting dalam prinsip-prinsip ASG untuk direlevansikan dengan praksis kepemimpinan pastoral Kristiani. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, artikel ini menjelaskan bahwa dalam perspektif prinsip-prinsip ASG, kepemimpinan pastoral menekankan prinsip partisipasi semua umat beriman dalam pelaksanaan karya pastoral. Seorang pemimpin, dalam hal ini kaum klerus, mesti mampu membangun komunikasi yang harmonis dengan semua umat beriman teristimewa dalam penetapan kegiatan-kegiatan pastoral. Selain itu, kepemimpinan pastoral dijalankan dengan keterlibatan aktif pemimpin pastoral dalam situasi konkret kehidupan umat sehingga kebijakan pastoral yang ditetapkan kontekstual dengan situasi umat dan akhirnya menawarkan kepemimpinan pastoral yang berdiakonia sebagai wujud kepedulian Gereja terhadap realitas sosial. Dengan demikian, kepemimpinan pastoral tidak hanya berurusan dengan altar saja, tetapi harus menjangkau berbagai dimensi kehidupan umat.
