Abstract

Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases that is an important health problem throughout the world because of its prevalence which continues to increase in 2019 to 22% in the age group 18 years, as well as its association with cardiovascular disease, stroke, retinopathy and kidney disease. The purpose of this mentoring is to increase family knowledge, especially in Barisallo Village, Kel. Parangloe Kab. Gowa. The method used is the lecture method using banner and lieflet media. This activity was carried out for 6 days. The results of the activities include the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. From the results of the service, there are still many people who experience a diagnosis/or problems with high blood pressure, and there are still many people who do not know how to prevent hypertension itself. So from this basis, community service is about efforts to increase public knowledge to reduce the risk of hypertension to coincide with the spread of covid 19. It is hoped that health workers will be even more active in conducting health education, especially in Barisallo Village, Kec. Parangloe.

Abstract

The incidence of stroke increases with age, with an estimated 10% of ischemic strokes occurring in individuals under 50 years of age. Stroke itself has consequences that can worsen a person's condition both physically and psychologically, especially in young adults. The method implemented to help the community is by providing counseling and assistance to housewives. The counseling provided using the SUPERNOL method is Spiritual, Management of Feelings, Using Ratios, Nutrition and Exercise. The results of the service show that participants are able to know and understand preventing recurrent strokes and controlling stroke risk factors.

Abstract

Choking is a condition where the upper airway is blocked by food or other objects which causes breathing problems. The method used in this Community Service Activity (PKM) starts from the initial survey, problem formulation, pre test, activity implementation and post test. The results of the activity showed that there was a significant increase in the level of knowledge of parents in providing first aid for choking events in children. The results of the presentation showed that 63% experienced a good increase in knowledge and 37% experienced a moderate increase. It is hoped that this community service activity will help the community, especially parents who have school-age children who are prone to choking, can provide first aid to prevent disability or death

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Diabetes melitus merupakan penyakit kronis yang memerlukan perawatan jangka panjang. Satu- satunya pekerjaan yang paling menantang dan sulit dalam mengobati diabetes mellitus adalah perawatan diri. Salah satu tindakan yang bisa dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pemenuhan nutrisi pasien terkait tingkat pengetahuan yaitu dengan memberikan edukasi dalam bentuk media video. Tujuan: untuk mengetahui gambaran penerapan pendidikan kesehatan dengan media video terhadap tingkat pemenuhan kebutuhan psikososial (defisit pengetahuan tentang pemenuhan nutrisi) pada pasien Diabetes Mellitus II. Metode: metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil: penerapan pendidikan kesehatan dengan media video pemenuhan nutrisi pada pasien diabetes mellitus yang dilakukan pada pagi hari dengan durasi video 15-20 menit selama 5 hari berturut-turut didapatkan hasil responden memahami cara pemenuhan nutrisinya, Kesimpulan: pemberian edukasi dengan media video dilakukan selama 5 hari berturut-turut dengan durasi 15-20 menit untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan pemenuhan nutrisi pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe II. Saran: harapan pada penelitian selanjutnya menggunakan desain peneletian berbeda untuk mencari korelasi kuat pendidikan kesehatan dengan variabel yang berbeda.
