Abstract

In this context, this literature review article aims to analyze how PBL can be a strong foundation in developing students' problem solving skills in the realm of science learning, as well as highlighting practical implications for education in the future. This research method uses qualitative. The data collection technique uses literature study, which is a technique used to collect data and theoretical and research sources related to the topic raised in a study. Types of secondary data obtained from published articles related to the PBL learning model in improving students' science problem solving skills. The analysis technique is carried out using a synthetic matrix. This research procedure begins with determining article search keywords, searching for literature articles on Goggle Scholar, selecting articles according to keywords, and analyzing the articles and their findings. The conclusion from the results of the literature study carried out regarding how the problem based learning model has an impact on students' problem solving skills in science learning is that by implementing this problem based learning model it will improve students' problem solving skills. This is proven by the results of 10 studies that have been analyzed.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of e-modules based on Toulmin argumentation patterns in improving students’ argumentation skills on buffer solution material. This study also aims to confirm that e-modules based on Toulmin argumentation patterns effectively improve students' critical thinking skills and engagement. Methodology: This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. The research sample was grade XI MIPA students selected purposively, consisting of an experimental class using e-modules and a control class with printed modules. Main Findings: The e-module was considered very feasible to use, with an average score of 90% in content, learning design, and readability. The effectiveness test showed that the post-test score of the experimental group (85.3) was significantly higher than the control group (73.1), with p < 0.05. The Toulmin pattern component increased significantly, and 92% of students responded positively despite minor technical constraints. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty in applying the Toulmin argumentation pattern as the primary approach in developing E-Modules aims to improve students’ argumentation skills in learning buffer solutions. This study shows that e-modules based on Toulmin Argumentation Patterns effectively improve students’ logical argumentation skills, critical thinking, and conceptual understanding in chemistry learning. Integrating digital technology encourages active engagement and the development of higher-order thinking skills. These implications emphasize the importance of digital innovation for transforming 21st-century learning.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to determine the ability to write poetry with the theme of mother by utilizing songs. Methodology: The research methodology used is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques in this study consist of several things, including observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. There are three components used in the analysis, namely, the suitability of the contents of the poem to the theme, the accuracy of word choice (diction), and the use of language style (figure of speech). Main Findings: The results of the study showed that the ability to write poetry of class X students by utilizing song media was classified as good, with an average overall score reaching 81.83%, which was included in the Good category. A total of 13 students (65%) were qualified as good, 6 students (30%) were qualified as sufficient, and 1 student (5%) was in the qualification that must be maximized, while no students achieved the qualification of very good. The use of songs as a learning medium has proven effective in improving the ability to write poetry, especially in terms of theme and language style, although in terms of diction there are still quite striking variations between participants. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study offers novelty by combining visual and auditory approaches in learning to write poetry. Students will use songs as a stimulus to enrich diction and emotional expression, so that learning becomes more systematic, creative, and effective.
