Abstract

This research analyzes the novel "Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck" by Hamka using a literary psychology approach, specifically using the personality structure according to Sigmund Freud, namely Id, Ego and Superego. The research method used is an explanatory qualitative approach using data from the novel. Data collection techniques were carried out through skimming and notation to quote quotes that were relevant to the characters and conflicts in the novel. Content and discourse analysis is used to identify the main themes, conflicts and character development in the novel. The results of the analysis show the psychological conflict experienced by the main character, Zainuddin, in his interactions with his environment, as well as a deep inner conflict due to love that does not reach Hayati. This research provides a comprehensive understanding of the characters and dynamics in the novel. Thus, this research can contribute to further understanding of literary and psychological works, as well as their relevance in understanding the human condition in everyday life.

Abstract

Psychology in the Monologue Script "The Last Day of a Death Row Convict" by Victor Hugo discusses the psychology of the main character in the text. This script shows the main character who is on death row and experiencing significant psychological changes. This analysis uses a psychoanalytic approach to understand how the main character faces the death penalty and how these psychological changes influence his behavior. The results of the analysis show that the main character experiences complex and dynamic psychological changes. He experienced depression, hopelessness, and anxiety related to the death sentence he faced. The conclusion of this analysis is that Victor Hugo's "The Last Day of a Death Row Convict" presents a complex and dynamic main psychological character. Psychoanalysis helps understand how the main character faces the death penalty and how these psychological changes influence his behavior. The results of this analysis can be used to understand the psychology of individuals who face difficult situations and how they develop strategies to deal with these situations.

Abstract

This research focuses on the implementation of bilingual learning in schools from early childhood which can influence the acquisition and development of a second language and children's cognitive abilities. The aim of this research is to describe theories from the results of several other studies regarding the influence of second language acquisition on the cognitive abilities of bilingual children. The research method used is qualitative with a library study approach to collect information from various library sources that are relevant to the research topic. The data sources in this research were obtained from books and articles that discuss the phenomenon of bilingualism as well as research results that refer to the cognitive abilities of bilingual children. In the results and discussion section, it can be concluded that children's acquisition of a second language can influence cognitive abilities. Bilingual learning makes students more flexible in multilingual environments and provides better opportunities to participate in global society. From a cognitive perspective, bilingual children have better skills than monolingual children. However, the effectiveness of bilingual learning can be achieved if it is facilitated by several supporting factors. Overall, the advantages of bilingual children outweigh the disadvantages

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze language errors in the morphological category in captions and comments in one of the @official.kpk posts. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach to describe the existence of errors or mistakes in writing captions and comments according to the procedures for analyzing language errors. The data source in this study is the @official.kpk Instagram post. on November 6, 2024. The data collection technique used was the purposive sampling technique to determine the data sample. Other data collection techniques used in this study were literature studies, documentation, and discourse analysis. The object data used was one post in the form of captions and comments. Data processing was carried out by collecting words that contained errors or mistakes, especially in the morphological category such as affixation or reduplication, then grouped. After grouping the data sources, the researcher conducted an analysis by analyzing using an analysis table and in accordance with applicable procedures. In the results and discussion section, it can be concluded that from one post that the researcher took, there were many errors and mistakes in the comments column, totaling 18 errors and mistakes.
