Abstract

Etnobotani mempelajari peranan manusia dalam memahami hubungannya dengan lingkungan tempat mereka tinggal. Kajian terhadap etnobotani pada pemanfaatan tumbuhan sebagai pewarna alami pada industri tekstil diterapkan pada kain pantang yang berasal dari suku Dayak Desa di Desa Umin Jaya, Kabupaten Sintang, Kalimantan Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui secara menyeluruh terkait tumbuhan pewarna alami dalam pembuatan Kain Pantang oleh Suku Dayak Desa, mulai dari jenis, bagian yang digunakan, hingga warna yang dihasilkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data kualitatif menggunakan uji kredibilitas, uji uji transferabilitas, uji dependabilitas, dan uji konfirmabilitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa terdapat 7 jenis tumbuhan yang dimanfaatkan sebagai pewarna alami oleh masyarakat Suku Dayak Desa di Desa Umin Jaya yaitu, jambu biji, rambutan, tarum, engkrebai, mengkudu, nangka dan kemunting. Masing-masing warna yang dihasilkan pada tiap tumbuhan yaitu, warna merah dihasilkan oleh akar mengkudu, warna hijau dihasilkan oleh daun jambu biji, warna coklat dihasilkan oleh daun engkrebai, warna abu-abu dihasilkan oleh daun kemunting, warna kuning dihasilkan oleh kulit batang pohon nangka, warna hitam dihasilkan oleh kulit buah rambutan yang dikeringkan dan terakhir warna biru dihasilkan oleh daun tarum.

Abstract

Abstrak Desa Semalah memiliki potensi sumberdaya alam yang melimpah pada sektor perikanan. Salah satu ikan yang banyak ditemukan adalah ikan toman (Channa micropeltes). Namun, potensi tersebut belum dikembangkan secara maksimal untuk dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah melakukan peningkatan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) melalui peran serta PKK (Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga). PKK Desa Semalah sudah terbentuk sejak tahun 2016, akan tetapi belum ada kegiatan yang berdampak positif bagi perekonomian masyarakat desa. Sehingga, pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas SDM anggota PKK Desa Semalah dalam hal pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengelolaan ikan toman menjadi produk abon. Produk abon dipilih karena memiliki potensi ekonomi yang lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan penjualan dalam kondisi mentah ataupun dioleh menjadi ikan asin. Untuk melaksanakan tujuan tersebut, tim melakukan pengabdian dengan metode sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan abon ikan. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan untuk mengukur keberhasilan kegiatan melalui angket yang diberikan pada saat awal kegiatan (pretest) dan akhir kegiatan (posttest). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh skor n-gain sebesar 0,74 dengan interpretasi tinggi.  Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan abon ikan toman yang dilaksanakan kepada kelompok PKK Desa Semalah efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta kegiatan. Kata kunci: abon ikan toman; PKK; Desa Semalah Abstract Semalah Village has abundant natural potential resources in the fisheries sector. One of the fish widely found is Toman (Channa micropeltes). However, its potential has not been developed optimally to improve its economy. One effort that can be made is to improve Human Resources (HR) through the participation of PKK (Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga). PKK in Semalah has been established since 2016, but there has not positive impact on the community’s economy. Thus, this community service aims to improve the quality of PKK members in terms of knowledge and skills in managing Toman into shredded fish product. Shredded was chosen because it has better economic potential compared to selling them raw or processed into salted fish. To achieve this aim, the team used socialization and training method in making shredded fish. Evaluation of activities is carried out to measure the success of activities through a questionnaire given at the beginning of the activity (pretest) and the end of the activity (posttest). The analysis results showed that the n-gain score was 0.74 with a high interpretation. Thus, it can be concluded that the socialization and training on making shredded toman fish carried out to the PKK group of Semalah Village was effective in increasing the knowledge and skills of activity participants. Keywords: shredded toman fish; PKK; Semalah Village

Abstract

Abstract: This research delves into the academic supervision in Ketungau Hulu sub-district, Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan. The study employed descriptive methodology, encompassing interviews and questionnaires. Data was gathered from 3 out of 10 junior high schools situated in proximity to the border. 3 principals and 3 teachers were interviewed, with 25 teachers participating in the survey. Based on data analysis, 90% completion rate for resources, 77.33% for resources, below 90% for teacher guides and schedules. Principals effectively supervised academics (above 90% completion rate) and created supervision schedules (88% completion rate). Room for improvement in academic supervision tools, currently at 89.33% completion rate. Based on interviews, academic supervision varies based on teachers' readiness. Educators reduce apprehension by being familiar with supervision. Teachers adapt to technological constraints by using basic media. Teachers and principals collaborate post-supervision to address issues. Some teachers participate in MGMP activities, while financial and geographical constraints limit others. Principals' supervision planning needs enhancements for consistent oversight. Overcoming obstacles like technological limitations is crucial. Post-supervision evaluations and follow-up procedures are effectively executed. More effort is needed to ensure all teachers have training opportunities to enhance their competencies. Abstract

Waste is an environmental problem faced by Indonesian society along with population growth. The high population growth causes an increase in waste generated by the community, both organic and inorganic waste. Organic waste management requires special attention so that innovations are needed in waste management that are not only environmentally effective, but also have economic value. One of the innovations in organic waste management is the bioconversion method. Dengan menggunakan metode telaah sistematis, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan telaah pustaka terkait potensi biokonversi limbah organik menjadi maggot sebagai sumber protein pada pakan ikan dan unggas. Pemanfaatan maggot, Hermetia illucens atau yang dikenal juga dengan sebutan Black Soldier Fly (BSF), dalam proses penguraian limbah organik, baik tumbuhan maupun hewan, telah dilaporkan dalam sejumlah penelitian sebelumnya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengacu pada panduan Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) yang terdiri dari empat kegiatan, yaitu identifikasi artikel, penyaringan artikel, kelayakan, dan penyertaan. The results showed that Black Soldier Fly (BSF) can be utilised as a decomposer of organic waste through the bioconversion method. BSF maggot contains perfect nutrients that can be utilised as a source of protein in fish or poultry feed.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the questionnaire quality based on: (1) content validity, and (2) empirical testing. The research was research and development using the 4-D model (defining, designing, developing, and disseminating stage). The instrument validation was conducted by an instrument expert, two physics teachers, and five peer reviewers. The subject of empirical testing was 206 students of class XII IPA SMAN 6 Yogyakarta in the 2019/2020 school year. The research instrument was a questionnaire of student’s scientific attitude (SSA) that consists of 20 statement items. The data were analyzed using the raw scale for content validity of the SSA questionnaire, and Product Moment Pearson for empirical testing validation using SPSS 16, and Cronbach’s Alpha value to determine the reliability. The results show that (1) all items of the SSA questionnaire meet content validity with raw scale score between 3.75 and 4, which means on excellent category; (2) the SSA questionnaire meet empirical validity with Product Moment Pearson r between 0.186 and 0.595; all r > rtable: 0.138 (n=206; α = 0.05), and meet reliability with Cronbach’s Alpha value between 0.724 and 0.756; all value > 0.60; which means the SSA questionnaire are feasible to use based on empirical testing

Abstract

The organic waste in Jongkong Pasar Village is a serious problem. The civilian was prone to throw waste into the Kapus Hulu River that passes the village. It can disrupt the river's ecosystem balance, affecting the nutrient cycle and killing aquatic organisms, as well as damaging natural habitats. Through this issue, the community service team developed a collaborative solution for the Jongkong Pasar Village. The team collaborated with Kelompok Pemuda Jongkong Pasar, a young group that rolled as agents of change. This collaboration aimed to improve their knowledge and skills in sustainable waste management and to have a positive economic impact on Jongkong Pasar Village. The community service team implemented the bioconversion method using maggots or larvae of the Black Soldier Fly (BSF) for the management of organic waste. The activity was evaluated using questionnaires, which were administered at the beginning (pre-test) and end (post-test) of the activity. The analysis results showed an N-Gain score of 0.84, indicating a high level of performance. It can be concluded that the socialization and training on organic waste management using the bioconversion method with BSF maggots were effective in enhancing the knowledge and skills of Kelompok Pemuda Jongkong members.Pengelolaan Sampah Organik Berbasis Maggot BSF: Upaya Pemuda Jongkong Pasar dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas LingkunganABSTRAKSampah organik di Desa Jongkong Pasar merupakan masalah serius yang harus diselesaikan. Kegiatan ini dapat mengganggu keseimbangan ekosistem sungai, memengaruhi siklus nutrisi, membunuh organisme air, serta merusak habitat alami. Berdasarkan permasalahan ini, tim pengabdian menawarkan solusi kolaboratif untuk Desa Jongkong Pasar. Tim pengabdian berkolaborasi dengan Kelompok Pemuda Jongkong Pasar, sebuah kelompok muda yang berperan sebagai agen perubahan di Desa Jongkong Pasar. Kolaborasi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan Kelompok Pemuda Jongkong Pasar dalam pengelolaan sampah berkelanjutan dan memberikan dampak ekonomi positif bagi Desa Jongkong Pasar. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini, tim pengabdian menerapkan metode biokonversi menggunakan maggot atau larva lalat Black Soldier Fly (BSF) untuk pengelolaan sampah organik. Kegiatan ini dievaluasi menggunakan kuesioner yang diberikan di awal (pre-test) dan di akhir (post-test) kegiatan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,84 yang menunjukkan tingkat kinerja yang tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sosialisasi dan pelatihan pengelolaan sampah organik dengan metode biokonversi dengan maggot BSF efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota Kelompok Pemuda Jongkong Pasar. Kata Kunci :Sampah Organik; BSF; Biokonversi; Berkelanjutan; Kualitas Lingkungan
