Abstract

Tujuan utama dari pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Madrasah Aliyah adalah mengembangkan kemampuan berkomuninasi lisan, namun realita di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa siswa di MAN Pacitan belum memiliki kemahiran berbicara seperti yang diharapkan. Penyebab dari hal tersebut di antaranya adalah kurang sesuainya metode pembelajaran yang digunakan sehingga tidak mampu meningkatkan ketertarikan mereka untuk belajara bahasa Arab. Model pembelajaran berbasis proyek merupakan model pembelajaran yang disarankan untuk digunakan guna meningkatkan motivasi siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini kemudian adalah untuk mengukur peningkatan kemahiran berbicara siswa MAN Pacitan yang menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek atau PjBL. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Desain yang digunakan adalah desain non-equivalent control group. Sampel dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional dan kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan PjBL dalam pembelajaran. Tes wawancara dipilih sebagai instrument penelitian, karena valid untuk mengukur kemahiran berbicara. Tes wawancara berisi pertanyaa terkait dengan tema as-siyahah atau pariwisata. Data diambil dari hasil tes wawancara pre-test dan post-test untuk kedua kelompok. Analisa data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test untuk mengukur efektivitas penggunaan model PjBL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Asymp. Sig nya adalah 0.03 dan kurang dari 0.05, artinya perbedaan nilai pre-test dan post-test pada kelompok eksperimen, H1 diterima.

Abstract

Schools and universities have been well-known as one of the social institutions in charge of socializing norms and values in children in terms of how they construct the concept of gender roles in society.  Sociocultural-bound attitudes of teachers play important roles in shaping or challenging the practices that highlight inequality. This study aims to investigate the influence of gender role attitudes on teacher behavior. Using the quantitative method, the data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 90 language teachers. From the F-test and T-test analysis results, it was found that there was a significant influence between variables (p≤0.05), in that, teachers’ gender role attitudes had an important impact on their teaching behavior. Then, the implication of this study is further drawn using symbolic interaction theory.

Abstract

This study aims to search for the meaning of Ughniyatul Fushul al-Arbaah poetry by Sulaiman al-Issa, who is well known as the king of children poets. The descriptive qualitative method is used in this study. The theory used in this study is Michael Riffaterres semiotics. To get the meaning in poetry, Riffaterre suggested two stages of reading, namely heuristic and hermeneutic reading. Heuristic reading focuses on lexical meaning, while hermeneutic reading is not only based on lexical but also comprehensively on the supporting aspects of the literary work. The result of heuristic reading of Ughniyatul Fushul al-Arbaah poetry revealed that the poetry generally described nature and seasons. While hermeneutic reading revealed that seasons symbolize the phase of life. They consist of happiness and sadness. The writer motivated the children to not lose hope and consider that the phase of life makes life more worthy.

Abstract

Language is the communication tool which also has meanings. Language meanings can be taken from direct speech acts and indirect speech acts. Furthermore, those meanings can give people’s motivation. Famous quote is one of the ways to increase the motivation. Famous quotes can be from various languages. They consist of words, phrases and sentences which have influential and worthed messages and meanings which are useful to increase studying motivation. AMIK JTC Semarang uses famous quotes in the form of posters to influent the positive mindset and attitude of students in achieving the goals. The purposes of this study are to investigate and analyse whether famous quotes of world figures can improve the studying motivation of students or not and which famous quotes of world figures have strong, enough and weak influences that can improve the studying motivation of students based on the students’ perceptions in the form of converted numbers. The method used in this study is quantitative method. This study is based on the results of analysis by using Likert scales and counted and converted by using three box method and SPSS. There are 44 famous quotes of world figures in the form of posters at AMIK JTC Semarang. Most of 44 famous quotes get high perceptions from the students who have ever seen and known them. It means that most of the students recognize and agree that 44 famous quotes of world figures at AMIK JTC Semarang can give their studying motivations to reach their goals and success. However, it can be summarized that there are 8 famous quotes which have strong influence in improving the student’s studying motivation, 24 famous quotes with enough influence, and 12 famous quotes with low or weak influence in improving the studying motivation of students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic values in Arabic language learning within a non-Islamic study program at UIN Walisongo, The focus of the study is directed toward actual classroom practices rather than merely conceptual discussions. This research employs a qualitative field research design with a descriptive approach. The data sources include the Arabic language lecturer and students, collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation of instructional materials such as the Semester Learning Plan (RPS), study program curriculum, and teaching materials. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, thematic data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of Islamic values in Arabic language learning occurs through four main domains. First, through learning materials that incorporate values of moral conduct (akhlak), proper manners (adab), and the habituation of religious practices within reading texts and dialogues. Second, through teaching methods and learning activities such as listening exercises, dialogues, group discussions, and presentations that foster diligence, cooperation, and self-confidence. Third, through lecturer–student interactions characterized by the lecturer’s role modeling in discipline, polite communication, prayer practices, and equitable treatment of students. Fourth, through learning evaluation that emphasizes academic honesty, fairness in assessment, and openness to constructive feedback.
